Zhou Xun is such a good actress. I have not seen her in a drama, but I have seen her in a few films.  I am so happy she is the leading lady here.

Thank you, @irilight  for all the information on Qian Long.  I have become obsessed with QL ever since I knew that Wallace is QL in this drama.  The last time when I visited Beijing's summer palace I was all ears on QL.  

I love Zhou Xun in painted skin.  Her emotions were so raw and real particularly the scene where she kind of killed herself.  I am still trying to look for the beautiful video to post here.
