SYNOPSIS

Kang Min Joo is a practical, single television producer in her 40s who has no interest in romance and only cares about planning her retirement, but deep down she's a woman “who wishes that something would please happen.” Fate would have it that she's not done with romance yet when she has an unfortunate encounter with Go Sang Shik, a chief at city hall “who dearly wishes nothing would happen.” The two enter a bickering romantic relationship and encounter a second type of adolescence as they fall in love in their forties.

''Second to Last Love'' take over the SBS Saturday & Sunday 22:00 time slot previously occupied by ''Beautiful Gong Shim''

Yoon Doo Joon (B2ST) was offered the major supporting role, but declined.

Ep.1 air date has been pushed back from July 23rd to July 30th, 2016. The reason is to give actor Ji Jin Hee time to recuperate from an injury he received while filming for the drama series.

Actors Ji Jin-hee and Kim Hee-ae are coming together.

Ji Jin-hee is starring in the new SBS drama "The Second Last Love" as the lead male character.

This drama is a remake of the Japanese original about a man in his 40s who doesn't want anything to happen and a woman also in her 40s wanting something to happen.

Ji Jin-hee takes on the role of Ko Sang-sik, a level 5 public official. He falls in love with Kang Min-joo, a producer who he gets off on the wrong foot with.

"The Second Last Love" is written by Choi Yoon-jung and directed by Choi Yeong-hoon.

Ji Jin-hee recently starred in the SBS weekend drama "I Have a Lover".

I watched the first few episodes of the Japanese version, but have never gotten around to finish it.  

The male lead in the Japanese version looks older than Ji Jin Hee, but it's because he's supposed to be in the 50s. It looks like the Korean version will make the male lead younger in his 40s. 

Love both Kim Hee Ae and Ji Jin Hee and definitely looking forward to the Korean adaptation of the series

@irilight Chingu-yah are they really confirmed? It seems still in consideration stage from what I've read from k-media and also their respective baidu pages(usually very fast with updates). But, (I may have missed) if they are both in it, plot sounds interesting, I'll definitely be in. Thanks as always for your shoutout.

Finally too, today JJH's agency, HB Entertainment, has made media confirmation of JJH taking on the role of the male lead in this drama.

Chingu, great idea... I may try it too. I see the Japanese version is subbed on Viki and it is only 12 episodes long, most of them 45 min only... I'll try...  ahh.. but the Japanese version also had Season 2. (also available on Viki with 11 episodes.)

BTW, I am a bit confused. I thought when Hancinema listed it with both of them, that they are both confirmed...!

Good morning chingu  You're right! Thanks for the news article. YAY! So KHA and JJH are the main leads. Wow! Two powerhouses in acting, with good looks to go with. This is a must watch then. Actually, I'm also joining you in thoning the jdorama versions till this drama premieres. Luckily for us, not too many eps... hehe.  (I haven't started to read up on info on this drama. Wonder if it will be just an adaptation or closely mirroring the jdoramas...) Anyhoo, first, I must purge my mind off of Jin Eon and Hae Gang images I have to bid farewell to them whom I love so so so much in IHAL, before I can accept JJH in his new role.

PS: About any kdrama directory or database media or blogs, I don't think they have inside info as opposed to agencies and station itself. So, unless the agency or official station confirms any casting, to me personally, the confirmation is not done. In JJH's case, his agency only confirmed it as was referenced. I believe that was the confirmation as far as JJH is concerned. Prior 'announcement' from other media sources are just speculation and hearsay. That's just IMO.
