One of my fave episode of Doctors.

Their dialogue after 13 years.....

Dr. Hong: Are you married?

Dr. Yoo: No.

Dr. Hong: Do you have a boyfriend?

Waaaa, Why do I have a feeling that He deliver it so naturally as if He is asking her based on His real feelings not with the Doctor's script??????????

The guy looks emotionally unstable the girl looks like she's got a bruise cheek with a lil look of fear/ hate of him.  I dont know, Im just guessing. 

 

I had that feeling too. The delusional one who did in the name of love. Maybe this case will make Hye Jung open about her past to Ji Hong. I don't think he knew that well. Hye Jung only mentioned about her being abused to Yoon Do. 

As much as I hate it, but they need to pass the cheesy lovey dove stage and start getting to know the real them. Afterwards they can be cheesy again, because that's how we like it.

Also his hits drama "what star did you come from? With jung ryu won. In that drama, have lot of kissing scene. KRW looks so hots & sexy

Kim Rae Won's 'Doctors' co-star Park Shin Hye builds center for destitute children in Philippines

"Doctors" star Park Shin Hye, 26, will build a children's welfare center in Manila, Philippines. Following her Shin Hye Center in Ghana, the actress is building yet another philanthropic center to support destitute children through educational activities.

Park's agency S.A.L.T. Entertainment revealed to The Korea Times that the second Shin Hye Center will be finished by early October. The center is expected to have a massive playground area and a library equipped with basic educational programs.

The actress is currently serving as the honorary ambassador for a non-profit organization called Korea Food for the Hungry International (KFHI). The August issue of the fashion magazine Singles will feature Park visiting Sampaloc, Manila in March to meet hundreds of less privileged children.

The Hallyu star and around 150 children shared an incredible time together, coloring several T-shirts. During that time, the former also visited the projected construction site of the center and talked about the development with Children Alliances Center (DAC).

"Shin Hye Center" in Manila, Philippines will be used as a multi-purpose cultural center for all the residents. The actress will keep on supporting the destitute children through donation and hands-on charitable services.

Currently, Park stars in SBS's "Doctors" along with Kim Rae Won, 35. The two portray couple Dr. Yoo Hye Jung and Dr. Hong Ji Hong, respectively.

"Doctors," which premiered on June 20, is a medical romantic drama about a skeptical wayward gangster, Yoo Hye Jung. She eventually becomes a compassionate doctor after meeting her mentor, Hong Ji Hong, who is a renowned neurosurgeon specialist.

The two characters overcome scars from their pasts and become entangled in a once-in-a-lifetime love story when they meet again as a junior and senior doctors after several years. During the drama's press conference on June 15, Park cited the intriguing role and her collaboration with Kim as factors why she chose to star in "Doctors."

"The manuscript was fun and Yoo Hye Jung is a character unlike any I've done before," Soompi quoted Park as saying before a group of local reporters. "Moreover, I've always worked alongside people my age, so it's nice to film with the reliable older Kim Rae Won."

but, translation aside, I love the fact that Hye Jung is able to say what in her mind, and they are able to converse maturely even though they are still in not the best term. It's a potential healthy and mature relationship for them.

A good example for every couple: communication is key.

Definitely my favorite scene too, so far, because of how the dialog ended in an unexpected way, the looks on their faces, and the crisp editing.  Just beautifully done.  But that final line was not how it was translated (at viki, I assume?).  That is really an over-reach in translation.  What he said was simply "well, okay, then!"  or "all right, then".   To push it to "Then we are set" was surely going over the margin that subbing teams are allowed in translating ambiguous Korean lines.  There clearly was no "we" or anything about "being set" in what he said.  In fact, the ambiguity of what he said was needed, to explain the lost look on her face.  But thanks for reminding us of the scene.  It was terrific.

I still do not like these comparison to DOTS, because I don't want these articles to put pressure on the production team and the actors/actresses. Also, I did not watch DOTS, so I do not know if what they say about it is correct - so it is just that writer's opinion, not mine.

New action-packed Korean drama Doctors may be hotter than DOTS 

Just as the sun is setting on the Descendants Of The Sun (DOTS) phenom, another hot new Korean drama is poised to take its place as the next Hallyu torchbearer.

Doctors, now airing in South Korea, has already raked in 19.2 per cent in ratings and is set to hit the 20 per cent milestone in the coming week.

DOTS averaged at a stunning 26.27 per cent.

 Doctors is a medical romance-drama between gangster-turned-doctor Yoo Hye Jung (Park Shin Hye) and her ex-teacher-turned-boss Hong Ji Hong (Kim Rae Won), as they deal with office politics and scars from the past.

So what exactly is driving its popularity in Korea? Here are four things that are making Doctors a better watch than DOTS...

1. SOLID SCRIPT

The unpretentious central romance is couched in a bigger arc, as Hong, rightful heir of the hospital, prevents a takeover by greedy doctors, while Yoo uncovers the cause of her grandmother's death in the hospital 13 years ago.

DOTS' popularity was boosted by its phenomenally good-looking cast, but it also featured an abysmal script.

This is unlike Doctors' compelling plot, which does not pack too much in nor pretend to be more than what it is. And it is definitely not a fluffy, fairy tale whirlwind romance taking place during a humanitarian mission in a fictional war-torn nation.

2. PARK SHIN HYE FINALLY TURNS BADASS

The 26-year-old actress first caught international viewers' attention through the 2013 Korean drama Heirs, where she played a maid's daughter who spends around 20 episodes or so rejecting the love of her mother's employer on the basis of status difference.

In Doctors, however, Park does a complete reversal.

She is headstrong, does not let injustice slide and tackles gangsters to the ground - with no stunt double.

At a press conference last month, she said that the character Yoo is unlike any she has played before.

It looks like Park has finally stopped being typecast as the passive, lovelorn heroine. Bonus points for being infinitely less whiny than DOTS' female lead Song Hye Kyo.

3. A RELATABLE ANTAGONIST

How often do viewers of a Korean drama relate to and root for the female lead's rival, in this case, jealous Jin Seo Woo (Lee Sung Kyung)?

This is drastically different from DOTS, which turned antagonists into caricatures that everyone loves to hate - foreigners of unknown nationality, evil simply because they innately are, complete with terrible acting.

In Doctors, Jin watches Yoo effortlessly taking all the things the former worked for, before getting back at her.

 Thankfully, writer Ha Myung Hee developed her backstory and her resulting personality, that of a sheltered woman whose parents made her hyper-aware of her initial headstart in life.

4. KIM RAE WON'S FLIRTING SKILLS

The age gap between the two leads could have caused Kim to come across as a creepy old uncle, but the 35-year-old's acting skill made him more like a protective oppa (big brother).

His Hong is assertive, but does not push Yoo around, guiding her while giving her room for her own self-improvement.

Most importantly, he delivers cheesy lines like no one else can. DOTS' lover-boy Song Joong Ki needs to take notes.

I think she said that at the ending of the clip and his reaction...  Gosh patients we might need those soft toys that he gave her and kick them.
