Саша Rain
I want the following episodes were more conflict, tension in the work and in love. HJ's character does not become lenient. She - a fighter. I do not want to see her as cutie. Love should not be boring. She should be passionate, be not indifferent. Why does not the love triangle? It seems that Dr. Chung(YKS) has surrendered. Is it his difficult path?

CamelKnight
38 minutes ago, ailenoh said: Can someone please kindly explain to me why after watching ep 12 it seems HJ is the wrong one because she want JH to change? When in my POV everything HJ said before in the end of ep 10 actually right. When people in love i thought they must learn to depend on each other and protect the other, that what JH trying to do in the begining right? He want HJ to let him help her about grandma's case..so when i watch episode 11 i thought JH was the wrong one because he can't depend on HJ about his problem..but in ep 12 turn out HJ was the wrong one for trying to make JH change..doesn't she just change herself for JH?she now can accept help from people and not trying to solve by herself.. Btw i kind of pity SW eventhough she can be annoying and feel that world is spin around herself and blame HJ if everything go wrong, but she doesn't have someone who give him support or love her except for her friend YG (her family is so .....yaa you know they only care about money....or maybe actually they love her just expressing the wrong way, the material way)..i do kind of hope that YG end up with SW because YG is the only one who always been by her side...and maybe YD can pair up with SH...and IJ can be with YD's uncle because it seems like IJ is the only women who can control his flirtatious behaviour.. The main reason why HJ was "wrong" is because every relationship takes two people. Nobody is completely compatible so in order to fit together, both need to change. Change should not come from one side. Relationships are about giving and taking. While HJ wanted only JH to change, she needed to find out that she needs to change too to become the woman he loves till his dying day. In the end I suppose it's not even about changing at all. It's about accepting the flaws of the other person to a degree where you can comfortably live with whatever mistakes they make. Nobody is perfect (not even KRW ladies, sorry!). You change to a certain degree to be more compatible, the rest is something the other party in the relationship needs to take for granted. I'll admit however that HJ did give in a bit too soon. I've never had a relationship where a woman would accept she was wrong that quickly. Most of the time it takes another relationship to accept they were wrong in the previous one Welcome to the SW-camp! I guess SW is more of a victim of circumstances and upbringing than just being a bad person. It would be nice to see YG end up with SW indeed, but it's unlikely. It's un-K-Drama-like to change a person's loving feelings during a K-Drama as it would prove that his/her love was not sincere (enough). But who knows, perhaps writer-nim will take us for a ride
Popular Post Tiggie2
Thank you to @stroppyse for the kiss BTS translations. You are also a gem in this thread I really do thank PSH for introducing KRW to me. He is such a professional and good actor. No wonder the knetz call him God-Rae Won! This is a rough translation of part of an article I read about him in Chinese. Original article: http://m.hujiang.com/kr/p795801/?source=pc Bringing you the real 'Doctors' Teacher Hong - Kim Rae Won KRW is 'Rooftop room cat' and 'My little bride' naive gentleman, but he is also 'Doctors' gentle but steady 'Teacher Hong'. However, he rarely reveals his private life, rarely even appear in variety shows. What is the real KRW like? Causing a phenomenon known as 'Teacher Hong', through extreme sweet, gentle and smooth talking known as the 'Monday disease' this man is KRW. Now through SBS 'Doctors' we meet him. Perhaps we all know, KRW has debut as an actor 20 years, he is the young star originator. Since everyone likes 'Teacher Hong' we should also understand having gone through long experience of hard work, the hidden charms of KRW. Curious about KRW real character? - Can't stand cheesiness Many people are curious outside of drama or film what is the real KRW like? In 'Doctors' he shows unhindered affection and calm whilst reading off cheesy lines, showing us a slick image. But in reality, on the contrary, is not able to behave in a mushy way. 'After doing something, he won't take credit. When acting, many actors look like they are practicing hard, but KRW is not like that. He isn't the type that allows people to see him putting in effort. He can't stand cheesiness' (quote from KRW's management company personnel) Honest, prudent 'Teacher Hong' For some reason he looks like the silent type, KRW in fact his character is very honest. In 'Doctors' amongst the young actors he is the eldest, leading the younger generation, maintaining cheerful all the time. 'He has a very honest and positive character. I do not know is it because the shooting atmosphere is very good or what but he has a smile constantly. His relationship with staff is also very good and probably because he is the same age as the PD, so the relationship is better. Not only he takes care of the younger generation, when they practice their lines he is always by their side, allowing younger actors to shoot in a very comfortable atmosphere. In group scenes he often says 'Ah, that's good' 'Thank you'. He is a sunbae you can rely on' (quote from an actor in Doctors) KRW is very good at guiding younger actors, he is a total gentleman towards PSH, in fact the two are from Chung-Ang university theatre and film sunbae hoobae relationship 'Perhaps because KRW is a college senior and is also an acting sunbae, so he is very gentleman and takes good care of PSH. And probably because of the age gap, brings out more mature acting. PSH also relies on KRW acting. Just like that KRW is a real gentleman character' (quote from an actor in Doctors) 'In fact, if he took a more gloomy role, he will become more 'dark' but now because 'Teacher Hong' role is very cheerful, his character becomes more in line with the role, his character will change with the role he plays' (quote from KRW management company personnel)

Popular Post Too Old For Bullshit
Just got back home from out of town and it is page 653 already! I cannot even fathom if y'all patients are still sleeping. Nways, I won't go through too much in epi 11 and 12. We all know how heartbreaking is the epi 11 and how hot & steamy is the epi 12. What I don't understand is people/viewers complaining it that it is slow, dragging & wants more about the fighter HJ. Did they ever read what the drama is all about? HEALING! Goodness! Me and my husband doesn't find the drama dragging AT ALL. Instead, it keeps us in the edge, all thoughts on HOW all THESE mystery will be solved. Now that Doo-Sik is dead, how can they prove the funds? It was shown in epi 11, SW's Grandpa rummage DS's office just to find that proof he was talking. In the end, he lied to DS and causes DS's fall on the floor. After all that shindig here comes the doctor that assisted KMS's operation. Now that SW's Dad is being hard on him, is he gonna switch side and help JH & HJ find some proof and give justice to KMS's death? And eventually the fall of Jin Family? There are just 8 episodes left. We found this drama fast paced even. I know a lot of viewers just focus on HJ/JH relationship which is good but although this is in a romantic medical side drama it is still about HEALING in all aspects. HJ character is really as real as you get. From being her old self to being the girl who accepts her mistake. She took the first step and cross the bridge in order to reach JH who have been waiting in the other end. I was so wrong in IJ's comeback. I thought she'll be another problem, but it turns out she's pushing the two. The antics of her, YD and the uncle is hilarious. THE KISS. I'm not gonna lie, I WANT MORE! I WANT A LONGER ONE! But I know I am asking too much. It is still a HOT and STEAMY one! The prelude of the kiss, JH's hand from elbow 'til like he was about to hug her, GOODNESS! LURVE IT! I was really really PERFECT! I'm kinda sad with the ratings! I hope they will also consider the viewers ALL OVER THE WORLD and not just SK. Before I don't really pay attention about the ratings but since it is important for the network and the drama, I have been affected every time it depreciates. Any fans of PSH knows HS (Heartstrings) doesn't have a great ratings in Korea but it is one of the most viewed drama all over the world. Regarding the ratings or how people in SK view it, this drama is GREAT! The main leads, second leads, supporting characters is just a balance of everything. Imo, BEST DRAMA OF PSH! It has a mix of everything. Action, funny, sweet, cheesy, hot & steamy, mystery and in the end, A LESSON TO LEARN. This might be redundant but THANK YOU re-cappers, translators & updaters! This thread won't be as great as it is without you guys! KUDOS! You just don't know how glad I am y'all are night owls or else, we don't have this great updates and great thread to look at too!

Popular Post maris1
Hye Jung a strong person or a dominant one? The question triggered from the simple reason that she was not dominant or forceful during the kiss scene. My train of thoughts did not stop there but went back to what we have seen of HJ until now...... I realized ....starting from her childhood...that she has been strong but never dominant at any point in her life..... 1. HJ withstood all the mental pain and torture of seeing her parents fighting also believing her mother to have died because of her father. 2. As a young child, took repeated physical and mental abuse of her stepmother despite having a father. 3. Teachers/ Principal ....in short none of the adults protected or guided her ...except all too short lived one of halmoni and JH Though deprived of affection she always responded to love.....never rejected anyone's sincere overtures eg grandmother's, SH, SW, JH and even SC. It was her mental strength that did not leave her harmed by all the above mentioned abuse. 4. She never resorted to violence unless in her own or others defence. A weak person initiates physical abuse. We saw that in case of SH, SW......as a doctor against gangsters, protecting the mob boss, latest the assailant acting as a husband. She protected others at her own expense fully aware of the consequences and at the same time equally sure of her own mental strength to withstand them. She acted according to her belief that weak need to be protected. It needs a strong person to stand by ones ideals. She is a strong person. Despite the endless trials and tribulations faced throughout her life she did not turn bitter, self pitied herself , took an easy path or tried to dominate anyone. She channelized all the anger, hurt and bitterness in becoming a strong person independent of others. She focused herself to become the person her grandmother wanted to be. ( I wish we get to know how). It needs immense mental strength to have done so. There are so many instances but am tired of putting them down......even going back for any editing ..........that means ....you all must be tired of reading too... so will end with the simple fact that it needs an extremely strong willed person to have become a neurosurgeon coming from her background and carrying the sort of baggage that she had.

If you really want to help with the rating, please register http://vod.sbs.co.kr/onair/onair_index.jsp?Channel=SBS and watch online - that would help the ratings... Sorry , but i don't think that international viewers can increase the rating by live- streaming . Or is there another kind of rating ?

Popular Post andreasofia16
Episode 12 was one of the best episodes. The kiss and the hug were superbs and made us sigh and smile; but the whole episode was a gem. And here some thought about it. Sorry if someone has already said this. Too many pages to read. My apologies. The symbolism of the beginning was amazing. It was that moment where JH comforts the inner child in him, with all his faults, sufferings and fears, takes him by the hand and says goodbye to him at the grave of his father. The voice over: "Cells that make up the human body constantly maintain a state of instability. Being alive is unstable. In the end, the essence of life is change. Father always told me this. Making decisions and taking responsibility is a man's duty. It's a new beginning." WOW! Powerful words! From now, he's alone, without his beloved father and is a new beginning, a brave one. The scene when JS pulled JPR's hair was hilarious. The poor PR couldn't do anything and JH didn't help him and walked away. I wasn't wrong with her. She returned in a fair fight. She is a great ally for JH and HJ, but also will be it in the hospital because she loved the Chairman. I know that she will collaborate on everything to put things in place. We'll see. I think I'll not go wrong with that of pairing her with PR. They are alike and brings the poor DY crazy. They are fun together. The conversation between JH and HJ was spectacular. A deep conversation where they were sincere. I love the dynamic between these two characters. They are completely different to what we are used to seeing in Korean dramas. He knows her so much that didn't insist, but let herself realized that she was wrong forcing him to change. But he also acknowledged that not called her because he was waiting for her call, giving space to her. Of the situation, the two learned and saw it as a way to mature in the relationship. I love it! So the kiss was more significant because it wasn't a 'hotness' or anything like that; It was the very manifestation of the deep love they have. I love it as it is written the script!

Popular Post WeunXK
[Drama Review] 'Doctors' - Episode 12 By eric_r_wirsing DOCTORS -- EPISODE 12 Spoiler Karaoke in the middle of the street is a bad ideaHye Jung is concerned by Ji Hong's silence, both while he was in the states and after he returns. Chairman Jin ascends to the top position in the hospital, replacingPresident Hong (since he's dead). Ji Hong feels the first stirrings of the new political atmosphere as confrontations happen over his investigation into Grandma's death.Hye Jung and Ji Hong talk and end up back together. Eventually our couple figures out about the abusive "husband," but he flees the hospital, later coming back to kill her. At the end of the day, Hye Jung and Ji Hong are hand in hand walking home... Ji Hong's silence worried me too. They just barely acknowledged each other and went about their duties. They were cold, distant, and we have more than a few episodes left where they could keep this up. Honestly, I'm glad they're back together. Part of the fun is watching those two interact, and stony silence is not fun. Spoiler When playing hide and go seek, it's best not to hide behind the seeker.Abused patient Soo Jin took front and center this episode. They spent a lot of time on her recovery and how she shut out her attacker. It was often difficult to tell whether she was faking in order to throw off her abuser or if she really was that far gone. The tests the docs ran seemed to indicate her progress was normal. Regardless, she seems to be safe, and that's a good thing. I wonder if we'll continue to see her next episode. The politics have taken a nasty turn, and it's probably up to Ji Hong to shut these guys down. They advanced their plans while he was in the states dealing with his dad's death. What I don't know is how far they went and what kind of evidence Ji Hong got hold of among his father's papers. I'm fairly sure that his dad intended Ji Hong to succeed him, so installing another chairman has to sting. Spoiler "Ooh! The new D.Holic album!"I'm still here, on the edge of my seat half the time. They know what keeps me coming back and I return weekly. The chemistry is good and the pace is fast where it needs to be. This is a pretty high quality drama, so I have a difficult time imagining it getting much better than it already is.
