Park Shin Hye’s Doctors Male Harem Grows with Addition of Ji Soo, Yoon Kyun Sang, and Kim Min Suk

Likely nothing will top IU‘s collection of flower men in the upcoming K-version of Bu Bu Jing Xin(Bobogyungsim: Ryeo), but it’s certainly nice for Park Shin Hye to get up there in the number of gorgeous male actors surrounding her in the next drama. SBS has signed on Park Shin Hye andKim Rae Won for neurology medical drama Doctors revolving around a team of neurosurgeons, with Park Shin Hye as the former high school gangster turned neurosurgery resident and Kim Rae Won as her department chief and mentor.

Their age gap doesn’t worry me and a likely romantic love line is par for the course. But in a drama with a strong female lead as is described, K-dramas love to throw more hotties in the mix around the female lead and now there are three more charming eye candy to form a circle around Park Shin Hye. Yoon Kyun Sang will be the second male lead who falls for Park Shin Hye, Ji Soo is Park Shin Hye’s childhood friend who she had a one-sided love for, andDescendants of the Sun cutie Kim Min Suk is another young doctor who has an puppy crush on the female lead.

Ummmmm, yeah, this is all good with me. All I have to say is that the casting director for Doctors has incredibly good taste in talented young actors. Once again Park Shin Hye continues to add to her stable of the best or brightest actors in the industry. Seeing hyung Yoon Kyun Sang and broody puppy Ji Soo in the same drama is so going to be whip cream on top of the ice cream.

Ji Soo to play Park Shin Hye's first love in new drama 'Doctors

Actor Ji Soo is joining Park Shin Hye, Kim Rae Won, and Kim Min Suk in the new SBSdrama 'Doctors'.

Kim Min Suk from 'Descendants of the Sun' has already been confirmed to be playing a neurosurgeon with a crush on Park Shin Hye's character, Yoo Hye Jung. On April 5, Prain TPC confirmed that Ji Soo will be playing the role of Soo Chul, Yoo Hye Jung's first love.

Kim Min Suk and now Ji Soo? Betcha fans are screaming in excitement to see the hot actors on 'Doctors'!

What is with all the negativity?

The drama is about Hyejung's journey to become a doctor so it's normal to have people in her past and present and future...

 

I actually think it's smart of them from business POV.

I was worried that the drama will not appeal to youngster and internet fans since it's medical ( Read: boring and serious. I don't watch medical dramas to be honest but I have no choice here  )  and nor KRW is  some young trending actor but a very mature and serious one.

So having an actor from popular DOTS KMS and trendy young actor JS joined would definitely gather more interest. And from what I see, it did

 

I'd complain if they threw some useless empty flower boys... but they didn't... Those are all young talented actors and their roles are just supports.... The casting director is doing a great job in my opinion. We have a piece for everyone.

At the end of the day, KRW and PSH are the leads of the drama.

Nothing has changed and we haven't watched anything to judge either....

I just read what you wrote... 

Until now I have not worried about the director and writer, I've not seen their previous works (in fact I gave up with High Society) but... Come on! Let's trust our ShinHye and KRW.  The chemistry, we are talking about Park Shin Hye so It's not something to worry about. 

I'll definetly watch this drama coz of the main leads (and obviously the young flower boy actors who have confirmed)

yeah that 3 is my first reason to decided watch this drama. Mostly i watch the drama because the actors and actress..and the scriptwriter and director is just become my next reason. i think i share the same worries with most of you about the script writer...But it really dont kill my exictment to watch this drama. I dont watch the high society but i watched one warm word...yeah one warm word is a bit frustrated but i still enjoyed it too back then. (my love to park seojoon is just too strong that makes me finished to watch that drama..hahahaha) and about director...okay lets give a try...i try to trust both of them too. From the description, it seems interesting and yeah another medical drama that sound refreshing to me. I think medical drama becomes one of my favorite drama genre..hahahahahaha...i think i never missed any single medical drama that have a bundle of hot doctors...hahahahaha.and what makes this drama more interesting to me.....the script is prize-winning script won a contest held by the Broadcasting Content Promotion Foundation...  and thats sounds so promising...

one question, this kind of contest means that the script already finished right???or they just make contest over two episode drama script right???ah whatever....

Even if this drama turned out to be not a very good drama with not very good scenario and director's work ...
Even if this drama dont achieve high ratings ... i think i still look forward this drama...and will stay tuned from the beginning to the end..yeah i am just loyal to this kind of line-up characters and actors..so far i think the power of them can makes a strong hold for me to survive and brace myself to watch this dram till the end..because the actors really my first reason to watch a drama....

I'm pretty sure it was for the whole script but also sure that they are going to have a lot of changes and adjustments as well... KRW role will be much bigger than in the original script, for example... so I hope they won't mess up the winning script

Ji Soo is joining the cast of SBS' new Monday & Tuesday drama, "Doctors".

April 6, Ji Soo's agency Prain TPC said, "Ji Soo will appear in "Doctors". Ji Soo plays Park Shin-hye's first love in "Doctors"".

Park Shin-hye and Kim Rae-won have already been confirmed for "Doctors". The screenplay is written by Ha Myeong-hee of JTBC 'Can We Get Married??' and SBS "Kind Words" and "High Society". Ji Soo plays Soo-cheol, Hye-jeong (Park Shin-hye)'s first love.

"Doctors" will premiere in the middle of June once "Jackpot" has finished.

I just read Dramabeans article, and why most of people react in a negative (?) way? why the point they look only about PSH and her harlem LOL. Like @thao_2512 said, they did a good job in casting part, I agree with this, they were not just randomly cast like maybe an Idol who can't act..

oh..about something bad happen will happen to Soo Chul like DB mentioned in article..I don't know why..I already have this feeling since Jisoo's casting came-out yesterday..I was thinking that Soo Chul probably is one of reason Hye Jung become a doctor..

However..I'm confused..so who will have a one-side crush (puppy) love? Hye-jung to Soo Chul like kpopherad article said or Soochul to Hye Jung like dramabeans said? but if I look to Soochul character description as Hye-Jung's first love, so the true is Hye Jung will have a crush to him, isn't?

Park Shin Hye drama is a must watch for me. And the other cast look amazing. So I'm looking forward to this drama. I hope this drama will be a turning point for her career and people will be more appreciate her as an actress. I can't wait to watch Park Shin Hye transform into a female gangster and then into a doctor. Any idea how many episodes this drama would be?

I just noticed something about the casting. 

Not only there is no pretty idol that can't act... Their age are quite diverse too.

Kim Rae Won: 35 years old
Yoon Kyun Sang- 29 years old
Lee Sung Kyung: 26 years old (Same age with Shinhye)
Kim Min Seok: 26 years old (Same age with Shinhye)
Ji Soo: 23 years old 

They really have it planned out carefully... and not just cast for the sake of it.

Like you can see they would appear to certain period of her life except KRW who would probably have been with her from the beginning to the end

One thing, I have been thinking since I knew about this drama weeks ago..why the doctors speciality is neurosurgery?? is it related to the main plot story?? I also read about Hyejung's childhood injuries..is it related?? Sorry..too many questions..I'm curious..

Oh..and I just read all articles in this thread (yesterday I only read articles in page 6-7)..I'm pretty sure they will show high-school part (or maybe through flashback) of Hye Jung character..

-KRW's character also a high school teacher

-LSK's character is former high-school classmate

-and probably JS's character also Hye Jung's high school friend

And yes we will definitely see a bit of the younger part where LKR and PSH were still friends and the 1st love happened too...

I'm still not sure how KRW can be high school teacher and  neurosurgery at the same time though... LOL

Its the winning script so must show why it become the winner and prove that this script is worth to be a winner too...yeah i am agree that maybe they will have many changes and adjustments from each character, adding more drama-ing plot maybe?...i am okay as long as they dont mess up the red line from the story...the message that the script want to show...and the big story and development from original script,,

BTW I love Medical genre.If its all work and less romance its better..

I love capable surgeons and the learning experience a fellow learned while in training to be a specialist.

I love that Park Shin Hye finally acted with a much senior by age & diverse experience actor.

 Well. I've said many times, knetz / social comments/reviewers doesn't  influence the choice of dramas I  choose to watch. I read for insights only. Ultimately it's the story, writing and the acting which will make me watch a drama. But that's just me.

For those not familiar with Ji Soo. Here he is.  He's 187cm tall. Well built and he's got impressive acting skills and he's a rising star. He's breakout role.. if you haven't seen..in in the drama Angry Mom.

I may not be the biggest fan of PSH but one thing I realised that her roles may not be great (read Cha Eun Sang) but the story she always chooses are extremely good (Even the story of Heirs wasn't that bad lol). Also KRW wouldn't just pick anything right? So I have faith in this story.

As someone already mentioned PSH should cut her hair. I second that idea. Please a new hairstyle.

And again CHANGE THE TITLE SBS!! This title could be a huge turn-off for some people.

the bold part....HI FIVE!!!!!! i am agree with you...the story that PSH chooses always extremely good....and yeah the heirs is wasnt that bad, at that time i admit i was one of the fans that crazy over the heirs, but now i just can laugh to myself why am i being like that back then????..hahahahaha. and yeah her roles may not be great but i dunno i always love how she portray her characters or roles in all of her dramas. it may be not my most favorite heroine in kdramas but i still loved it...even cha eunsang i used to like her too...KRW of course he wouldnt just pick anything......though i just watched him once in dramas, he already makes me adore him as an actor...
