I actually laughed with Kang Cheol when trah assembly man asked him if he'll be able to revive Yeon Joo by pressing enter!!! Seriously man you are really that dumb!! Kang Cheol didn't mistake him when he said he's simple minded!!  

and how he played him, making him blieve he's the on with upper hand only to send him as a delivery man of the tablet to Soo Bong and Seong Moo and saved Yeon Joo as he planned!!! I was divastatd through the torture scenes that I was litteerally screaming for help and for that trash man to stop but I felt so proud of Kang Cheol to be able to reach his goal and save Yeon Joo when he was on the verge of death himself!!! it's great to have husband like him right?!!  well, lets forget the part where you can end up with a heart attack out of the many times you will be worried for hios safety and life!!

I think this is a stupid question, but still I need to ask. I'm in Korea right now but not a citizen. If I want to buy director's cut blu-ray, do I have to go to the site to buy it or can I just buy it in store? Do they sell it in store too here in Korea? Sorry I really don't know since I've never done this before. W is the first. I really don't want to miss the director's cut though. Han Hyo Joo's comeback came with a bang! Her hiatus of 6 years is worth it and she delivered with a great small screen drama. LJS acting was also superb. Hoping for a better and deserved ratings for this. DOTS is good for me but i think W is better. fighting!

According to Nielsen Korea, MBC drama "W" rated 10.9%, a 1.0% drop from the last broadcast of 11.9%.

W needs a happy ending, it hurts to see OYJ AND KC be hurt , I think thats why the episode wasn't received well, fans are invested in the happiness of the characters in which seeing the way they were all episode was painfully difficult. Plus the spoilers didn't help with KC being as bloody as he was.

I'm not somone who can understand the rating logic nor the audiences but I know that I am not someone to give up on a drama only because things got harder, I only let go when I'm not invested in the story or the characters (or both)!! as long as the drama is delevering the emotion and story in the right way I'm all in with it till the very end!! and W is a drama that I'm in love with dispite all the pain I suffered because of it for my OTP but I'm thankful and more than satisfied with every episode and I chrsh every second of it!!

I think the writer made a huge mistake to separate Yeon Joo and Kang Chul the entire episode when it's so near to the finale. I think that's where it suffered. Obviously people watched for the two leads. You can't have one of them missing for almost the entire episode. That's just not good and WE know people watch for BOTH of them.

 

I think that plot wise it was needed!! Yeon Joo was "dead" and Kang Cheol was on a mission to save her so there is nothing much for her to do in this episode!! lik in episode 5 where the centre was Kang Cheol when he realised the truth but then episode 6 was about Yeon Joo and how she dealt with all the aftermath of the discovered truth!! so let's see what will be our Yeon Joo's will do now with all that's happening now!!

hhhmmm  this is my first comment in this forum, i made this account just because of 'w', im really addict to this drama and im really happy to read comments here (since im just a silent reader), in other web sometimes they badmouthing 'w' and i cant take it. 

in this episode, we watched that OSM's hand also start to fade, why??? i cant understand. Is he also a webtoon character???

in the preview i see the prosecutor also torture Do Yoon, i dont know why but i feel so sad when see him in blood its like my heart so hurt compared with when i watched kang chul's torture. why do yoon has to through that, he doesnt know anything,,, arrggghhh i want to slap that prosecutor with hammer

My favorite scenes from Ep 14:

•YJ is Alive!

•KC being the smart guy that he is

•SB berating Crazy Dog(way to go SB!)

•KC&SM Dad's scenes from the rooftop,piggyback.

•KC's speech to SM dad missed only him telling SM dad that he loves YJ (though I'd rather that KC tells YJ first)

 

As crazy as W seems right now,which might have caused others to lose interest with it, I am still enjoying it. Though I look forward to a better Ep 15 & definitely Ep 16. I think we all deserve a great ending after that roller coaster of the past 14 (and maybe 15) episodes.

 IF W won't have a happy ending, I might refrain from watching Song Writernim's next work. W is so traumatizing for a drama fan lightweight like me who've only watched dramas with HEA. Come on, I have enough angst and what not in my real life (perils of being an adult,argh)

And it's ending on LJS's birthday,he can't have his first sad drama ending on his birthday.

Don't feel too badly; last week was rough. I was so heartbroken that for the first time I didn't read the thread and I buried my head in another drama which also promises me glory and (lots and lots) pain; stupid me. After the heartbreak of last week, I could feel myself guarding my heart for this episode. I, too, am a bit surprised the writer chose to deprive us of real (not fantasy montage) happiness in the back half of the drama before overwhelming us with ze angst. Objectively I still feel as if a happy ending is coming but I suspect it will lean more towards the open ended side than not. Also, it might not have as much time with it as we wish. If there were happy times in the next episode, the previews would have given us something so I imagine the next ep is heavy, too.

That aside, I liked this ep particularly for Kang Chul's determination to save Yeon Joo. He kept his wits and realized she could be saved but only if she were allowed to die in W. I also liked the vulnerable and caring moments he shared with Seung Moo. Loved that someone yelled at Crazy Dog! Go, SB, Go! The more W people who get exposed to the manhwa elements of the world (people reanimating or disappearing in front of Do Yeon and So Hee) or know the truth (the prosecutor) the more I think the world of W will learn the truth somehow. Also, I think the only way to break W's genre (action-revenge thriller) is for KC to complete his tasks as a hero because then W won't constantly be trying to feed a particular narrative since the journey has been completed. They kept trying to do this in all these artificial ways but ultimately W has rejected it or leveled the playing field in order to force an organic conclusion.

 

@Mau_Cherry chingu!! don't feel that bad!! I can understand your feelings but things turned into a great placee and Yeeon Joo was saved and Kang Cheeol showed how much he loved her and wareed for her enough to allow his torture and make a new plan to save her whilee he was on a grave danger himself!! he and shee needed this to know how much she means for him and now even her father is on his side and all the awekwardness and unconfortability that would have come if nothing of this happened vanished giving Kang Cheol and Seong Moo to work a a team to save Yeon Joo: the most precious person for both of them!! 

I really loved the care shown by Soo bong toward Kang Cheol asking him to be careful, that was so sweet  and how he was worried when he saw him bleeding in the manhwa!! and even the father was concerned for him!! I really loved those moment, showing that Kang Cheol stoped being only a manhwa character in their eyes!! I'm getting eemotionel now!!  

the happy ending will come chingu don't worry!!  though I think we need to kill trashy assembly man at 1st but I don't want Kang Cheol to kill anyone anymore!! but I'm sure he'll save Do Yoon!! ahhh Do Yoon!! I don't want to see him in that state but think of it as bromance time!! (I'll keep reminding myself of that too!!)

This drama is so thrilling!!!  Like most of the fans here, I'm delurking due to its pull.  The last time I was active was during Healer's time.  Guess, great minds think alike after all.  I love all the episodes as it provides all the info we need to learn about the characters, their motivations as well as their growth throughout the series.  Separation anxiety is already setting in.... oh how I'll miss W when it ends.... And it includes all of the cast and crews..

What just happened chingus? I thought we were going to get a happy reunion at the end of this episode. Silly me I even thought "Wow you can tell that the Olympics have made the episodes uneven". Then OYJ is in the real world, no she's in the manga, OSM can't pull up the manga to see what happened..There is no sign of KC  Once again my mind is blown.

MBC’s hit drama “W” has shared a sweet video from the filming of a brief scene from episode thirteen!

In the video, Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo’s characters Kang Chul and Oh Yeon Joo are on a date at a market. Han Hyo Joo picks out a headband with a pink bow, and tries to put it on Lee Jong Suk’s head, and although he tries to refuse at first, she wins out in the end.

After they film the scene where she puts the headband on him, Han Hyo Joo laughs at him and says, “You’re blushing!”

After another take, the pair laugh and Lee Jong Suk says, “I’m embarrassed! So embarrassed!” as Han Hyo Joo jokingly freaks out about how cute and flirty they were being.

After reading some of the negative comments here, I watched ep14 with low expectation.  Surprisingly it is much better than I thought.  

There are many precious moments in this ep for me. I loved the conversation between SM and KC. I also loved the way our hero saved his wife using the rules of two worlds.

Although there is not much screen time for our OTP, but it is even more touching when I saw KC treated YJ as his family member and I felt their love goes deeper than ever.

I understand that the preview of ep15 is a little frustrating, but isn't the preview always misleading?  I am confident that the writer will give them a happy ending because there were hints everywhere.

welcome to W thread and happy you deecided to join us even in the last couple episodes!!  don't read thm and ignore them, that's what I do!! there is no use to waste your time and energie being bothered by them, just enjoy W with us, that's more fun and prodetive!!  

I really don't know what happened exactly but I think it has to do with Seong Moo's ouf-his-mind (killer) behaviour!! I think we'll hav a good explination in today's episode!!

the trashy assembly man is using Do Yoon as his laverage to assure his life's safety, which means things will go wrong for him (THANK GOD!! HOW MUCH I waited for that day?!!) and wants to use Do Yoon to trap Kang Cheol again I believe but I can trust Kang Cheol to be able to find his way out of this and saving his "hyung"!! *handsonmyheart*

thi drama made me realise how simple minded I am everytime she succeeds in crashing my heart mor than it did before!! it's unbelievabel how thy managed to achieve that!! and worst I'm enjoying being tortured by them!! this drama made lose my mind!! bow all they need to do is repay me and us for all the pain we went through with our OTP and give them their deserved happy ending!! that's the least they can do!!

After watching ep 14 with sub, I can say that I liked it! I understand that it's a little frustrating that we still don't get a happy reunion for our otp, but hey there's still 2 episodes left...I think I will be more anxious if they reunite now because there's still time left for some things to went awry!  I would rather they wrapped up all the problems and angst first and give me a happy reunion later!! Up until now I am still believing that we will still get our happy ending...and despite the negativity that's been popping left and right about this drama I'll stick to it till the end!

But I guess I will just stay away from other sites until W finishes so that negative comments won't dampen my mood and affect my perspective in watching...
