Somehow I believe the biggest Shock for Kang Chul after finding out that his Life is fabricated was to see the Pictures from Father and Daughter.

He told Yeon Joo that he is 99% unhappier than before - but there is only this 1% good - and that for sure was she. The smart KC understood at once how hard she tried to not let him know. Even going in the Jail  - she protectet him so much - and yes KC regrets that he aked her.

But the Moment he saw that she is "HIS" Daughter - is this 1% still the only good in his Existens - or better said the only good about knowing the truth?

Todays episode was mwa for me, I liked the previous ones better, with more KC and YJ. Ep 5 was jammed with so much flashbacks, I was literally doing two things while watching this episode. So I hope the plot thickens and there will be more romance between KC and YJ. KC is too self assured for my like (about YJ) I still don't understand why he didnt found her beautiful?

i cant answer myself  how KC find the house where the writer lives. Although he said he find the info on the internet but for the address... I dont know..  it shouldnt be that easy,right?

I was secretly rooting for KC to shoot the father.... He was such an annoying loser to be honest....He's extremely a bad writer too... if not for KC's will to live, his webtoon would be such a failure lolol. And to create a setup like that without the ID of criminal, it reminds me of batman stories lolol and there were tons of theories floating around regarding batman's parents killer too, lol. Those were fun times.

today episode start on the low side cuz of the flash back.

it really pick up after KC meet YJ in the real world. the kiss scene was good.

i guess it was a surprise kiss that why HHJ didnt kiss LSK back in these last three kiss scene. atlease the writer give these two more kiss scene so that good.

i hope their next kiss scene will a passion one .

i guess now we know why KC shoot YJ cuz he know YJ cant be hurt. just like how her dad cant be hurt

if only YJ dad did not keep provoking KC. he would never get shot. KC was about to go but he keep daring KC to shoot him.that why he did.

i just hope YJ dont blame KC for shooting her dad. she know the only reason KC shoot him is cuz he keep provoking KC.

Okay, after backreading 50 pages (this thread surely moves fast) since I last had time to join here and after watching today's episode my mind is currently not able to come up with lengthly, analytical posts right now. I'm currently fighting a strong headache, so please bear with me if my following remarks are not clearly understandable as I want them to be.

I really enjoyed today's episode as it gave us a lot of information on the needed back-story. And I really did not mind the 30 min spend on the conversation between YJ's dad and KC. There conversation ctually made many aspects and plot developments we saw until now easier to understand, well at least from my perspective. I appreciated the fact that not just KC explained his version of how his life felt until now but also dad. Even if I cannot agree with dad's line of argumentation I can understand some of his aspects by trying to put myself into his shoes. He was as frightened with KC's strong will to survive and learn the truth as KC was with him being constantly threatened without those threats having a context as he labels it. That part of the episode strongly reminded me of an old episode of Star Trek - The next Generation when Data asked the starship's computer to create a version of Prof. Moriarty that was up to par with him whenever he wanted to play Sherlock Holmes on the holo-deck during his free time. And because of Data's special nature as maschine the computer actually modeled the intelligence and emotional smartness after Data and not the original Sherlock Holmes. Therefore, the fictional Moriarty also learned the truth about his own existence and could not be defeated or killed. That's basically the same experience dad had to go through as well during all these years - he could not defeat or kill KC because the set-up he gave KC was to strong for such a weak and flawed person as dad. And I could also understand dad's line of thinking that he kept the webtoon running as it would allow him to earn money for YJ's future - he may be a bad alcoholic, but he clearly cares for his daughter and he felt that KC and his own webtoon could be of harm to her. All this reasoning should be understandable, at least from a parent's perspective.

Another thing that I really appreciate is the fact that Kang Chul actually read the whole webtoon. As painful as it must have been, and as @Mau_Cherry already mentioned the only positive thing he currently sees is that he was able to learn YJ's thoughts on all their encounters while reading them, he also learned something else with reading them. He gained knowledge into how the prosecutor is thinking as well - this will get handy as soon as he's back in his world. Cause even if he knew before that the former prosecutor is a possible threat to him - he now knows first hand of all the hatred this man has for him and waht makes him an even worse enemy, that his political career is tied to KC not learning the truth about his family's deaths and finding the real culprit. So we can expect some scheming from the prosecutor as he wil do everything he thinks is needed to save himself and his party from falling from public grace.

I really like the fact of how they showed us that YJ is the real creator of the original KC. And that she was also the one giving him his talent for shooting - although it makes me sad to actually think of what these drawings are symbolizing. She draw them when witnessing her parents screaming and fighting, clearly giving a hint on her emotional state during this period of her childhood. She wanted to create herself a capable protector that could take care of all the bad things happening to himself (symbolizing herself). And the fact that he had a weapon is clearly indicating that she at least feared the constant fighting between her parents could turn violent an one point as well. That's so sad if you think about it from the psychological point of view.

Another thing that I really wanted to post since quite a while but somehow always forgot up until now, is my appreciation for the writer's work. Writer-nim always tries to creat certain rules that apply for her time-/or dimension-bending stories. And unlike with QIHM I have the feeling that at least until now writer-nim tries to stay close to what is currently discussed in scientific discourses about different dimensions. Those specialists within quantum-physics working on the theories of multiple dimensions also discuss what would be the rules for crossing between those. And one of the most important one is that a person existing in more than one universe/dimension should not meet him-/herself when crossing dimensions as it would cease the existense of both versions as this would create an unsovable paradox (well at least that's the part I could understand as quantum-physics is not my cup of tea).
That is also explaining why we have not seen any single character (no matter from which world) in both worlds yet. Cause it would have been simple for dad to actually model some of his characters after living persons as the worlds were never intented to cross path anyway but we did not see that. Up until now no character as a counter-part in any of the two universes. When YJ was first sucked into the webtoon world she did not exist within this world, therefore, she could not be found in any system within this world. She simply did not exist which made her suffer after the police found her s she could not identify herself, but that's what keeps her alive if you follow the rules of multi-dimensionality. The same goes for KC when he comes to the 'real' world. He is not existing as a real person in this world as well, so he would have the same problems when encountering the police or any other state authority. That means if he will end up living in YJ's world at the end of the series he may needs to get hold of a fake ID complete with a fake  CV as well but at least he can live in her world as he doesn't have to fear to encounter himself and loose his life due to meeting himself.
But this would also mean that the prosecutor cannot have ac ounter-part in the real world as well. Or maybe he can - that would make it easier for all of us cause as soon as he may cross the dimensions and runs into hsi other self, both versions disappear - that's actually a rather efficient way of problem solving if I were in KC's shoes.

Okay enough ramblings for now. Have to stop before my headache is killing me. Will be back after some decent sleep. But before I leave I want to post the show's reviews from another blog that just picked up reviewing the show this week.

Me: I really want to be her character. This is like the dream come true… Except I’m not the character. Yeon Joo is!

Mari: can we also talk about his clothes? I love his stylist! Keep giving him nice fitting shirts! His legs kinda freak me out & he has no butt (somewhere Nelly whimpers by the no butt option) and his legs are really long! So where was I going with this? OMG I just realize he is sort of biting his lip here!

Me: le sigh. I’m disappointed with his butt. I prefer my man curvy in that department Is he biting his lips? I couldn’t tell. His lips just simply gorgeous. I don’t mind kissing it!

Erl: I wanna bite that lip. Before someone else does. LOL. Let’s see, though, someone’s having a hard time.

Mari: where are we? Oh, she’s back & goes to her dad’s office to figure out what’s going on! Also, I love that dress on her. On me, it would look ridiculous.

Erl: Yeah, I think it looks really good on her. Love the heels too. They said somewhere it weighs 25kg.

I really have no sypathy for that man!! I can't believe how ruthless and unregrateful that he doesn't want to give Kang Cheol and his friends a happy ending though Kang Cheol did nothing to him after all he did but kept on provoking him and telling him that his goodness and will is all a set-up not really his but I loved how Kang Cheol told him that the miseribal life he had wasn't a writer's fiction it's him being cruel and abuisive in his essance since he knew he's living and breathing and still stabbed him with his bare hands but that only showed through his writing because he was using a pen not a knife!!

yes she is!! it came to great help that she heard everything and wasn't left to think that Kang Cheol planed harming her father but knew how her father was the one who kept on pushing him when he only wanted to have a happy ending for him and his friends!! I really want to see how she'll be able to give him a reason to live for and I really want her to show him that his will and goodness are really his not a set-up!!

KC: Sit and draw the original ending. You tried to have me commit suicide, but I rejected that because it didn’t make sense to me. So, if you draw the original ending, then that should make sense to me, and everything will return to the way they should be. Isn’t that right? (SM’s pensive expression) My friends remain there. (flashback to the scene of frozen figures) Not living, not dying. I can’t leave them there pitifully like that.

@stroppyse Thankyou for your effort. Just want to highlight that despite his misery he is worried about his friends frozen in W world.

Would it be too far fetched to think that the real world is a manhwa too..

As in, we are the real audiene.. and this whole thing is a fantasy manhwa..

- Why do we get these serialized recaps at the beginning of the show ( its not like normal recap of any drama - maybe because it can get confusing for audience so narrator helps bind things.. )

- Why or how is this movement happening.. all of this is so much more acceptable only if all of this is webtoon to begun with.. about a webtoon coming to life..and two very diff world people falling in love

I loved everything about this episode. Her dad is just a very bad person. I kind of think him shooting the dad is self defense since the dad keeps trying to kill him and would try again. He was even stabbed in person by him. That's so crazy. The writer is amazing! I think our heroine will understand both sides.

I love how they both can understand how each other feels in situations. He was in prison, she was in a different world, now parents being shot...

Does anybody know what her thoughts in the cartoon were? I can't read Korean and I'm so curious. But I'm not sure if they showed us many of her thoughts in the comic.
