I can't pinpoint it exactly, just feels like she's a modern woman wearing hanbok.

I appreciate that our love for this drama makes us want to analyse it in depth but when doing so, can we keep in mind the drama's intention?

I was a literature student once and I believe it is important to understand a work from the creator's point of view.

I liked how this drama made CP a person less than a sageuk character.  It does not dwell so much on customs and formalities (it's not a documentary or an informative program, it's a drama); it shows us the plight of a man, who happened to be the crown prince.

However, to be honest, I like HY's character, too.  She's strong yet she chooses her battles (Did we ever see her compete with the woman CP loves?).  She's frank yet she knows which things to keep to herself (Did we ever see her confess her love?).  She is willing to be a martyr but not to the extend of losing her self-respect (Did we ever see her beg?  The girl negotiates to make CP see the benefits of the marriage.)  And guys, she wants to help the CP whichever way she can - even if that means she has to endure every day being slapped in the face with the truth that he can never love her back.

Omoooooo...  this drama is messing my EQ big time.

@onlysb1 Sorry, i don't see anything wrong with @Earth2KatyD post. Did i miss something? It was a really harmless joke. She explained that it was just her "shipper's heart talking".

We disccus her character more then her actual portion in screen time...lol. i think her character not to impresive to be told except she was a real character in history, but thank for HY fans who defent her and fire this tread, become war opinion  and move faster...@tzupi...congrat for your presistence seem you turn your self be HY, character..Presistence.

MOONLIGHTERS  my i asked you wich episode engaravting in your memory and made you falling in love with MDBC..??  

 i like MDBC from start airing because HRO character, her smart witty talking, her easy going character and how care she is with her foster father deep touch me, and the way she read human heart and give advice as love consellor even sound lame , but all the wise advice is prove HRO is the rich heart around joseon country. Her weapon is honest talk and Affection. SO episode 1 to 4 is my favourite.

Episode 5 to 10 transfrom me be hard shipper for YongOn couple, their relationship from friend and be half lover is so intense, their action to help each other, the confused feeling, fall in love with some one who shouldn't to fall, so glad when CP take a step to convess her feeling toward his eunuch, and thank drama god  CP discovered RO gender just in time. after kiss confession l shink to their lovey dovey moment like a fool, how came staring and gaze made me fuming inside...ha..ha..feeling silly because PBG and KYJ cheimistry overwehlmed me.  Wait another kiss scene is no joke then..lol. 

Episode 11 to 14, is flusthering heart, many anguish scene here,and more tears to shed, in the light side we found how heroic YS, their bound as friend is never end,  how great  3 musketers friendship maybe we can see again in coming episode .

Two weeks more this lovely drama will ended, i want this drama become longer because i didn't get enough CP and HRO lovey dovey, this feeling untrue but so true,  some opinion says this drama sucsses because this and that. The one i believed MDBC sucsses is because PBG and KYJ cheimistry. and the other aspect is just 30%.

Three new dramas enter TV popularity chart

Three new dramas ranging from a rom-com to an action-romance entered the rankings on a TV popularity chart their first week on air, data showed Thursday.
 

(MBC)

"Shopaholic Louis," an MBC rom-com revolving around an amnesiac chaebol heir and a country girl in search of her runaway brother, took third place on the Content Power Index for the week of Sept. 19-25 with 244.3 points. Starring Seo In-guk and Nam Ji-hyun, the drama aired its first two episodes that week.

The KBS 2TV drama "On the Way to the Airport" also premiered the same week and took sixth place with 234.9 points. The series follows the story of two married individuals -- a flight attendant played by Kim Ha-neul and an architect played by Lee Sang-yoon -- who grow emotionally attached to each other.

In seventh place was the action-romance "The K2," which premiered the same week on cable channel tvN. Ji Chang-wook plays a former mercenary who is hired by a presidential candidate's wife (Song Yun-ah) to keep her husband's illegitimate daughter (Im Yoo-na) away from the public eye.

 

The index, developed by entertainment company CJ E&M and media ratings company Nielsen Korea, measures the popularity of TV shows based on the number of views of related news stories, keyword searches and mentions in social media.

"Love in the Moonlight," a period romance on KBS 2TV, topped the chart for the third week running with 276.2 points, while its rival in the same time slot, "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," came second with 250.4 points.

All-time favorite variety show "Infinite Challenge" scored 243.7 points to rank fourth, while the rom-com drama "Jealousy Incarnate" rose six places to fifth after earning 236.3 points. (Yonhap)

‘Love in the Moonlight’ ranks first among Korean dramas

The Korean period drama “Love in the Moonlight,” which stars actor Park Bogum, ranked No. 1 in a list recently released by the Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation.

The drama earned a score of 126.91 million based on brand reputation data on consumer behavior, communication index, participation and media values.

In the drama, Park Bogum plays Crown Prince Lee Yeong while actress Kim Yoo-jung plays a eunuch.

At second place is “Jealousy Incarnate” starring Gong Hyo-jin and Jo Jung-suk, which got 51.78 million.

Third place is occupied by Lee Joon-gi and IU’s period drama “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” with a score of 35.03 million followed by “Drinking Solo” with 31.31 million; “Cinderella and Four Knights,” 29.91 million; “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop,” 24.79 million; “On the Way to the Airport,” 23.15 million; “Shopaholic Louis,” 21.66 million; “Fantastic,” 21.44 million; and “Our Gab Soon,” 19.78 million.

“Secrets of Women” ranked 11th followed by “Blow Breeze,” “The Flower in Prison,” “Strange Family,” “The Second Last Love,” “Here Comes Love,” “Good Person,” “Start Again,” “Working Mother, Babysitter Father,” “The Sun in the Sky,” “You Are a Gift” and “The K2.”

“Love in the Moonlight” premiered on Aug. 22 at 17th based on Nielsen ratings. It jumped to fourth place on its third episode. For its 10th episode on Sept. 20, it placed second overall with a rating of 19.6 percent.

Before this, Park Bogum also topped the brand reputation index for September among Korean drama stars followed by Kim Yoo-jung. His popularity soared through the 2015 hit drama “Reply 1988.”
