张天爱曾在日本留学，留学归来后在北京电影学院学习期间，也兼职做平面模特。

2009年，获得机会去韩国拍摄微电影《落樱》，首次触电的她开启异国演艺之旅，在片中与还是练习生的演员金秀贤合作^[1]  。

2013年，在海清、张译主演的都市生活轻喜剧《抹布女也有春天》中饰演一个公司职员的角色。

2014年9月，主演腾讯自制的网络情景喜剧《怪咖啡》，在剧中出演单纯开朗的咖啡店店员朱丽叶，对人对事简单热情，向往童话般的生活，略带神经气质^[4]  。12月，出演孙红雷、海清主演的抗战剧《二炮手》，在剧中饰演凌织羽，说着奇怪东北口音的日本军医，机智而不择手段，与孙红雷有诸多对手戏，因而受到关注^[5]  ；她也凭借该角色在2015横店影视节暨第2届文荣奖中获得最佳女配角奖^[2]  。

2015年，与张亮、薛之谦合作拍摄都市剧《男人帮·朋友》，在该剧饰演女二号穆天，在感情上可悲、可怜的角色^[6]  。同年12月，主演乐视自制的古装网络剧《太子妃升职记》，饰演太子妃张芃芃，从现代直男穿越为古代太子妃，演绎男女双重性格，因此受到了更多的关注^[7]  。

2016年1月7日，出演的改编自同名小说的超级网剧《我的朋友陈白露小姐》正式开机，她在剧中剧中饰演热情大方、善良开朗的海棠一角，为陈言奉献一切的人设非常惹人疼惜^[8]  。1月12日，在北京水立方参加“2015移动视频风云盛典”，获得年度魅力女性奖^[9-10]  。1月30日，参加湖南金鹰卡通卫视的益智闯关节目《疯狂的麦咭第三季》的收官之战，与盛一伦、于朦胧、郭俊辰组队闯关，这是她的综艺首秀^[11-12]  。2月6日，随“太子妃”剧组参加湖南卫视综艺节目《快乐大本营》^[12]  。

张天爱的演技和外形都在《二炮手》中展现得淋漓尽致，她饰演的日本军医凌织羽不论是刚出场时穿着华丽风衣，还是被俘后披着大棉被，都散发出别致的美感。楚楚可怜的眼神时而又露出骄傲而凌厉的光芒（搜狐娱乐评）^{[5]  [15]}  。

张天爱在《太子妃升职记》中的帅美“天仙攻”形象非常受到欢迎，她时而英气潇洒时而仙气妩媚的气质更是让人欲罢不能，其身材容颜都是上等美人（新华网评）^[16-17]  。

Why is it so quiet on this forum? 
I think she is pretty and a decent actress (superb for Go Princess Go and pretty good in Evolution of Our Love). 

i'm gonna wait on Martial Universe but looking forward to seeing her more in the future.

I just recently took notice of her through Evolution of Our Love and then went back to marathon through Go Princess Go.

She grew on me lol. I really like her too. I was surprised that this forum of hers is so empty.

I guess technically she just "started" on this path of fame so maybe we will see more of her in the future. 

 

She is a good actress. I also recently watch a couple of China Running Man's episode with her in it and her personality reality is so different from the two roles I saw her in. She was more of the "shy", quiet, meticulous, and "gentle" type I suppose compare to her boldness in Go Princess Go or her arrogance in Evolution of Our Love or her childish lively Huan Huan in Martial Universe. 

I'm looking forward to her upcoming dramas.

 

I do have a question though, regarding her birth year...several source said 1990...but some also said 1988.

Which one do you think is the correct one?

Hello Chingu,  So happy you posted those pix I really love them I especially like the ones in the snow. As for her birthday on Wikipedia it says 1990 DOB Zhang Tian'ai. And I think there's not that many post because as you said she is kinda new so ppl maybe don't know much about her. I think she's a good actress and she so gorgeous. I'm hoping she will have legions of universal fans soon.
