On January 9, actor Ryu Jun Yeol of “Reply 1988” shared a photo on his Instagram with a comment saying, “Exchanging the excitement of our first meeting with regrets and longing. We loved, love, and will love each other.”

The high school characters Dong Ryong (Lee Dong Hwi), Taek (Park Bo Gum), Duk Sun (Hyeri), Jung Hwan (Ryu Jun Yeol), and Sun Woo (Ko Kyung Pyo) are posing for the photo in a field, where Park Bo Gum and Ryu Jun Yeol are carrying Hyeri and she has her arms reaching out to Lee Dong Hwi and Ko Kyung Pyo.

The five actors wrapped up their high school years in Ssangmun-dong as of episode 17. From episode 18 onward, the characters’ adult years after college are portrayed.

“Reply 1988” airs every Friday and Saturday at 7:50 p.m. KST on tvN.
