Brief summary of happenings between BLY and GH prior to this chapter:

After the 30-day leave, BLY went back into the military. GH gave BLY’s dormitory a complete makeover, throwing out his old furniture, mouldy bed and bedsheets and replacing them with new ones.  He also arranged someone to deliver dinner, cooked by him, to BLY every day.

A new Division Commander, Zhou Ling Yun (ZLY), had been transferred to BLY’s division. He began a series of harsh training, putting everyone through immense mental and physical pressure.

GH had to go on a business trip to Shen Zhen with LYJ, while BLY was at Gobi desert undergoing training under freezing temperatures in the snow. BLY’s plane exploded mid-air during a “stimulated war”, he landed safely but his leg was injured. At the hospital BLY called GH and lied, “GH, I think I’m going to die.”

GH rushed back, leaving LYJ to settle the rest. Upon seeing BLY, he went to the washroom and cried; it pained him to see BLY getting hurt. When he learnt that BLY had only fractured his ankle bone, GH wasn’t angry but loved BLY even more as he realised BLY must have suffered a lot and had missed GH to have tricked him back.

However he got angry when he learnt what ZLY had done to BLY. When ZLY visited his company to follow up on the project, he sabotaged a model plane, trapping him inside while electricity shocks were burning his hand and butt. When BLY went to the hospital to visit ZLY, he didn’t reprimand him but instead said he said he was very interested in GH; his unscrupulous ways was a lot like him when he was younger. Later, BLY inadvertently made GY into a substitute for GH and ZLY tortured GY thinking he was GH.

Meanwhile, GH “abducted” BLY home after learning that ZLY made BLY  climb up and down a pole 500 times while BLY’s “little Yinzi” was still hurting from the faulty s** toy that GH’s company invented. GH kept BLY by his side, refusing to let him go back into the military before he was healed.

One afternoon, BLY decided to go home with GH.

GH and BLY went to a mall to buy some gifts before visiting BHQ. They started to pick some blazers out in the men’s section. GH picked one and asked for BLY’s opinion. BLY replied that it didn’t suit BHQ but it suited GWT more. GH wanted to put it back but BLY took it over and paid for it.

GH asked how he knew what GWT’s size was and BLY lied that he had guessed it. Actually BLY knew GWT’s exact size. Once he had came home with GWT who happened to have a meeting at the overseas site of his special mission. He unexpectedly saw the size while holding onto GWT’s blazer while he went to the washroom. BLY could remember everything about GH by hard without making much effort to remember them.

BLY then picked out another shirt and asked GH to try it on. GH was puzzled as BLY and BHQ always wore each other’s clothes. BLY explained that BHQ had put on weight lately and GH had a bigger frame than BLY so he should try it on.

 

Actor YQ:

GH walked into the fitting room. BLY was looking around bored, suddenly his gaze fixed on a figure and his eyes lit up.

“YQ!”

Not far away, a handsome guy wearing a pair of sunglasses subconsciously looked over; his expression froze at first upon seeing BLY waving at him, he then walked over with big strides.

The two hugged after not meeting for a long time, both were abnormally excited.

YQ took off his sunglasses, revealing a 祸国殃民 (bring calamity to the country and people?) face.

[IDK what CJD was trying to imply here. Any guesses? My guess is that YQ was so handsome that all the girls wanted an ideal boyfriend like him instead of any other guys……]

 

“Yinzi, why are you here?”

BLY pointed at the store behind him, “I’m buying clothes for my father.”

Just as he was saying, GH walked out of the fitting room, he looked into the mirror with his back facing BLY. BLY pulled YQ and walked inside, he had yet to open his mouth when YQ spoke first.

“Uncle, I haven’t met you for a long time.”

GH saw YQ in the mirror, turned around and looked at him with a fake smile, “Aren’t you being too polite?”

YQ froze for a second, “After all the talk, it was you all along!”

GH removed the clothes and said to BLY, “It’s quite fitting; I’m going to pay for it then!”

He then walked towards the cashier.

 

YQ lowered his voice and asked BLY, “You’re still with him?”

“Yes, we just contacted each other not long ago.” BLY deliberately concealed the truth.                

YQ only noticed the air force uniform on BLY just then; he widened his eyes and looked at BLY with an unbelievable expression.

“This……”

BLY admitted openly, “I’ve joined the military; I’m an air force pilot now.”

“You’re so cool!” YQ looked at BLY in awe, “What rank are you in?”

“I’m just a Major.”

“You’ve become a Major at such a young age already?” YQ was even more surprised.

The man standing beside YQ was also looking at BLY with admiration.

“Oh, right, I forgot to introduce, this is my manager, Mr. Ma.” YQ pointed at the middle-aged man beside him.

BLY shook his hand politely.

After that he continued to quip at YQ, “I haven’t been in touch with the media for so long, I almost forgot you’re also a celebrity now, don’t forget to give me one ticket if you are having any concert or something.”

“Look at your words; I am only playing small roles at the most. Right, you’ve reminded me, this is a movie that I’ve participated in, there’s a movie premiere two days later. This is the entrance ticket, you must come if you have the time!”

“A movie that you’ve acted in, I must definitely support you!”

BLY’s voice had just faded when GH’s voice sounded from behind.

“Isn’t it inappropriate to give just one ticket?”

YQ used his fingers to jab his head, “Look at this memory of mine, wait, I’ll give you one more ticket.”

Just when the ticket had been handed over, the manager Mr. Ma that was beside YQ spoke. “This must be Mr. GH right?”

Although GH didn’t know the other person, he still politely shook the other’s hand.

“You two knew each other?” YQ looked at his manager puzzled.

Mr. Ma smiled faintly, “I’ve heard a lot about his name.”

The four chatted for a while, YQ gave BLY and GH his name card and bided goodbye with a smile, “I need to go, I’ve something else later, let’s chat another time!”

“Hurry and go ahead with your schedule!”

 

Seeing YQ’s leaving back figure, BLY couldn’t help lamenting, “He’s becoming more and more handsome!”

“Em……” GH snorted at the side, “So handsome that he is unlike a human.”

BLY side-eyed GH, “Let’s leave quickly, your (older) brother is still waiting at home!”

“My (older) brother?” GH’s expression froze momentarily.

BLY laughed faintly, “You’re addressed as “uncle”, isn’t my father your brother then?”

“Are you asking for a beating?”

“Heehee……”

 

Lol BHQ:

BHQ was glad to see both of them. However he also felt bad for deceiving GH.

“Da Hai, uncle didn’t mean to deceive you, I felt really bad during the first two years when YinZi had joined the military. That day when you came to find me and I told you that YinZi was dead, I cried for the whole night after you had left!”

GH held both of BHQ’s hands, “Uncle, I don’t blame you; I understand you had your difficulties.”

BLY buried his head and kept silent at the side.

Seeing that the atmosphere was a little depressing, GH asked BHQ jokingly, “Do you still have the black and white memorial tablet that you’ve made for YinZi?”

BLY lifted up his head abruptly. “Huh? You’ve made a black and white memorial tablet for me? Why didn’t I know about it?”

BHQ laughed honestly, “Every time you come home, I will hide it secretly!”

“Don’t tell me you had displayed it at home every day?!” BLY was in a mess.

BHQ spoke with lacking confidence, “I didn’t display it every day, I just let it bask in the sunlight on weekends, I was afraid it’ll get mouldy being kept inside the cupboard.”

BLY was fuming with anger, “Why did you still keep it?”

“I find it a waste to throw it away! That frame is very sturdy and I couldn’t bear to throw away that photo of you; just take it as an artistic shot and display it there! Nowadays isn’t there some youngsters who specialises in taking black and white photos?!”

“But other people don’t put a plate of snacks in front of their black and white photos!”

“Pfft……” GH almost spat out the water inside his mouth.

 

I have noticed in the drama that there's always a black and white portrait photo of BLY beside his bed, could this be his memorial tablet...... but why did they make such a prop? Anyways It always creeps me out when I see it in the drama. I definitely don't think it's part of any chinese tradition to put a picture of yourself at the bedside.

This is 'old news' which was circulated in Weibo back in early March in Weibo. This incident plus being caught together shortly after sparked CJD to stand out to clarify the issue. It's said that her/their Weibo account was hacked and etc.

@fingersandpaws On the photos shown in the series, I only have this observation, 

They were probably there to show a lived-in house. You know like how we decorate our houses with pictures and Photographs.

But the thing is the brightly coloured frames really don't match with the deco of the various houses with the exception of JY new apartment.

If the photo you saw in Twitter only posted today It's most likely about ZZ's infamous selfie skill lmao. There was a fan uploaded his "selfail" and compared them with screencaps from ZZ's ifensi live stream today . CJD sent it to ZZ and teased him "I laughed so hard I could die". Our ZZ's with bad eyesight still innocently asked her "they are not the same? What is the difference? Is it the light?" etc.CJD couldn't take it no more and asked him to stop conversation lol. Then she posted her screencap of their conversation in her comment to the fan. 

Conclusion: ZZ can't tell the differences between his selfail and his normal photos taken by someone else. All his friends, his boss and his fans officially had given up on him and it became a laughing stock in the fandom.

I am relieved that the chat is legit and posted by CJD herself to tease ZZ. Whenever I heard weibo, CJD and ZZ's name in one sentence, I could not help myself from being worried 

Hopefully, there is no more rumour attacking ZZ and he can be recognised and appreciated for his talents and achievements.

When I looked, I see there are also news items on RFT2. From what I understand there's still confusion about JY & ZZ's participation... 

Isn't the voting end on 3 May? At the moment JY is no 1 and ZZ is no 2. If you have been voting for this, you can see this chart is like a roller coaster. My heart skipped a beat a few times when I couldn't find them on the 1st page (sometimes they were like no 20). I assumed fans have worked really hard to maintain their spot. I am happy if either of them win, as long as they are next to each other
