@skeletonworks Hun, that was beautiful recount of your trip. I feel for you and I am sorry that you had to go through those waves of emotions. I think we are all in mourning regarding the struggles of this production and the struggles created by others for these young men. I hope that in time when your feelings settle you will see what a great privilege it was...  I know that you not only went with your expectations but with the feelings and hearts of us all here on this thread and that was and is a great burden to carry. I am thankful that you went as an ambassador of us all and that your presence there meant our presence there as well. I know that in time when the wound from the bite of these events have started to heal that you will see the gem in it. 

For all I know ShangYin may become a pivotal memory in the face of fighting for freedom of expression and you being there makes it all the more legendary!

I hope you feel better soon and take time to truly embrace these feelings you now have because they are important not only to ShangYin but to the greater picture surrounding the production and our boys.

@skeletonworks awesome description of your eventful night. Its heartwarming and heartrending at the same time. It must have felt amazing to see the boys so close and all in action live but then no yuzhou moments were really mood dampening.

I am happy that you dared to take this once in a life time journey and you should not hold any regrets about that. Its natural when one is not feeling happy we tend to take a few decisions we might regret later but what matters is you were there. 

You have splendidly relayed the discomfort felt by the boys first hand and the emotions they were going through. Its often videos can't make up for what is described in words full of emotions. Your words have really touched my heart.. thank you for reliving the moments again and pouring your heart for us all in such vivid words.

I know I'm lifting a line out of many lines. I know this song didn't see it coming. But, this line is what I wanna say to Addicted production. There was hopes and expectation for Addicted Season 2. CJD did say before that filming of Season 2 will start in May. But it didn't come to realisation. If you (CJD company) didn't prepare to exhaust other options, then don't say that Addicted will stay with us for another season.

lololol so savage xD btw yeah most Korean fans are so mad about this, they found for YZ (and Addicted in general) be banned for no obvious reason irk them so much. They demand to get full explanation on why the heck YZ can't be seen together, why the boys can't be in any shows, etc

While back at the camp site, a soldier discovered the secret tunnel and informed the subordinate(BLY was staying in that apartment with him during the captured period), who then reported to GH’s dad. Knowing that the two had secretly met up those nights, GH's dad checked the surveillance camera in the subordinate’s apartment and to his horror saw their intimacy. So he called a meeting which consisted of the parents of both parties. But BLY’s dad just told him to let nature take its course.

 

Thus GH’s dad took action once again and took GH back to the campsite and forces him to enter the army. However, Gh refuses to follow suit and was kicked into the tunnel and forced to stay in there. BLY knew that GH was captured back to the campsite went to find him and told GH that neither of them are going to give up. So GH suffered in the tunnel while BLY suffered in the cold outside the campsite. This stayed on for 3 days till BLY’s dad came over and told BLY to elope with GH. Thus BLY went to find GY to get GH out. (In the story GH and GY looks 90% alike. The process was pretty funny GY wants BLY to sleep with him in exchange to help GH but BLY refuses and stayed in the room acting psychotic and fainted which pissed GY off so bad he agreed to it but actually he would have agreed regardless he just wanted to make things difficult for BLY.) So GY staged it in such a way that what seems like GH attacked him and wore GY’s attire to smuggle out while GY’s was forced in the tunnel and stayed for 3 days, which gave the couple time to escape.

 

So they first headed off to QingDao because BLY wants to reside at some area near the sea. (This is the stop where the filming of the MV) At this point only GY and BLY’s dad know their whereabouts. And at the dialogue part of the MV, actually what GH and BLY shouted was not the full dialogue. Here’s the full one:

 

GH: My name is Gu Hai, male, 18, from Beijing! The person sitting next to me is my wife(by right daughter in-law like how parents call them), we officially fell in love on this exact day last year, and it has lasted for a year! Although it's not a smooth ride, we will push on! *Turns to BLY* Are you daring enough? 

BLY: What's there to fear? My name is BLY, male, 18, from Beijing. From xxx High School Class 27, am a delinquent kid. Beside me is my wife and he wouldn't stop pestering me! Out of sympathy towards this lunatic, I’ve decided to marry him. However his dad doesn't agree and our marriage has yet to reach an agreement. But I will stay true and sincere to my wife, even if his illness acts up, I will not leave him! 

GH: *laughs* GWT! (GH's dad) Let me tell you, I do not care if you agree to this marriage or not! No one will be able to change my mind on the person who I've decided on! And don't even think about breaking my relationship!

BLY: GWT!..... I fked your son! *Laughs*

Together: Setbacks will not wear off our determination! Difficulties will not stop us from moving on! Our angers are on the common enemy! Our determination will stand strong!

 

Then at night, both of them stayed over at the beach in the tentage to catch the sunrise. BLY gave his dad a call to check up on him. Then some night activities. (You get what I mean) The next morning they caught the sunrise and took a photo which resembles the Buddha cuz of the bright lighting behind and this photo stayed with GH ever since then, even after the 8 years apart as his computer background. Then because Gu Hai saved a drowning bride, when the both of them saw the media coming towards them wanting to interview them for the heroic act, they run off and headed towards their next destination.

 

NOTE: This is only like 1/3 of the outline(I think). I still have quite some to go because I wanna try to write it as clear as possible since I'm not able to translate the book line by line. I'll update again later!

At this point, GWT is trying to track down GH and BLY’s location through BLY’s dad call record. So he asks GY to track them for him. However BTS, he’s following GY.

 

Two weeks passed ever since they ran away from the beach and rented an apartment in Qing Dao and GY goes to QingDao to find them, unaware that he was being followed. However, BLY realises that GY was followed and calls GH to not go and meet GY. However, he’s already near the meeting point and thus was surrounded by his dad’s people. And then a wild chase happened which was how GH met this pretty lady who got him out of the situation, who sprayed perfume on GH before he left. (This lady plays quite a big role in GH’s during the 8 years separation to GH and BLY’s reunite. But he sees her nothing like a love interest but more of subordinate/sister.) So GH goes back and told BLY the situation, except that instead of saying a lady helped him, he said a young lad. BLY smells the perfume and they ended up quarrelling but reconciled after those sexual jokes.

 

Then GH and BLY meet up with GY after the incident. In which there were quite some tension between BLY and GY as GY keeps trying to intimidate BLY with how he admires him. But BLY was very cold towards him. Over here GH settled GWT’s people by threatening and locking them up.

 

It’s the New Year and GWT visits BLY’s dad and had very simple talks, but could feel their warmth and simplicity in the family. Because when GWT asks if he hates him for stealing his ex-wife, he then realises that his ex-wife married GWT and laughed as if it was nothing related to him. GH and BLY went out on the streets knowing that there’s no longer people following them. But while GH went to get something, BLY who was craving for candied haw ran off to get two. GH came back to find BLY missing and searched for him frantically, and exploded at BLY when he found him. As usual, GH gave way and they reconciled. Then they went back home to prepare a New Year dinner. In the end both of them drank quite a bit. The thing is BLY’s alcohol tolerance level is very low. So he agrees to every crap he was asked to do and role plays so well the times he’s drunk. 

 

So this is the infamous role play of the a villager’s wife(BLY) cheating on her husband with the village head(GH). And they wore on those old fashion clothes and started role playing. Just when things were about to get heated up, GY came knocking on their door wanting to bid farewell as he returns. BLY who was too drunk and too into his role, keep telling GH that his wimpy husband is back. GY just stood at the door and thought that he went back in time when the door opened, while BLY said “You’re home, wimpy husband” and started clinging himself on GY as though as GY is his real husband and GH is the village head, explaining that GH was there to show concern etcetc. GH pulled BLY back and GY smelled that the room reek of alcohol, instantly knew what happened, turned and left. GH just kept scolding BLY for not being able to tell the difference between GH and GY and that he is now the wimpy husband, his original other half then there goes a bunch of smut. (There’s a photo that fans photoshopped of the two in that weird attire and ZZ even said that it was good(?))

 

Then New Year, played with fire crackers, and accidentally burned the entire car. Still, they had a good New Year and they then prepared to head towards Tibet.

 

 

Note: Ok I will translate the remaining of the elope part tmr. As for the epilogue I will try to get it done by thurs/fri! Hope y'all are enjoying this and please let me know if there's any mistakes or issues anywhere!

Estreline and Sienna are still translating, they just need some time to take a break and compose their thoughts. 

Book 1 is the story of young, 18-years old GH and BLY. Book 2 is the continuation of that story. Read more in the spoiler if you wish:

GH and BLY had car accident because the bast*rd GY, GH's cousin, sabotaged BLY's car. GH was left in coma because he protected BLY and when he conscious again, his family said that BLY was dead. In fact, BLY was alive and joined the military. BLY asked everyone to tell GH that he was died so GH could move on.

 

Book 2 tells us the story 8 years later, after the end of book 1. How GH and BLY continued their relationship and overcame any hurdles in their path. Book 2 ends with
