I second this. But I think the main reason behind the ban is not anti-homosexuality (though it certainly plays a part). Recent polls has shown that Chinese are more accepting of homosexuals especially in tier 1 cities. It is because it portrays the government and the military in a bad light. The Chinese government is trying to rid itself of corruption. If they had allowed the show to be screened where GH and his dad are blatantly flaunting their wealth and abusing their power, it would be to admit to and "celebrate" the CCP as a corrupted government.

I think CJD would have to make major changes to the family background of GH or the ending for GH's father (such as being persecuted for corruption) and to get rid of the explicit scenes to have any chance of airing Season 2.

Oh la la! So many pages in a day! Bear with me, if I a repeating a thing stated on back pages. However, I would like to post something about ZZ. It is not exactly about lip-licking, but close enough: sticking out toungue tip, that he's been observed doing on more than few occasions. Mind you, it is from Cosmopolitan, but topical nevertheless. hello guys, I like this web series too, I didn't know this thread exist before yesterday, wow, quite fun to read posts here... someone asked if Bai LuoYin play "Go" in the novel, i haven't finished the novel yet but found nothing about that, I also used "GO" (围棋 in Chinese) to search the chapters that I haven't read, still found nothing... reading the novel that's such a headache for me, too much corruption and you would think Beijing is such a bad place, too sad until a friend from there remind me that's just a novel.

For a little self-explanation (okay, and maybe a little self-promotion, I am a Leo after all) I started writing a story, posted on wattpad. I can't link, way too technologically challenged, but if you go to wattpad, search sohocomo, you'll find Painted Promises. Read the 9th chapter, A Cleansing Whitewash. About half way through the chapter "Mama Ann" tells her homosexual stepson what she really thinks. Read it knowing that I am Mama Ann. Truthfully, I wrote that section for my son, though I haven't shown it to him yet. Actually, I'd like other people's thoughts on if I should have him read it. My 'friends' here at home would probably find the story a bit...um...shocking, but I know people here in this thread would not (maybe). 

 

EDIT: I can't count. It's chapter 8. I'm working on 9 right now. <palm face>

Apparently, the boys are rumored to be flying to Hainan today to record for the 2nd season of a variety show (not sure what it is called in English and Chinese).

If they arrived today, they'll probably start filming by tomorrow. The format of the show will be like this: for each episode, there will be 4 out of 17 participants act as the hunters. If the remaining participants were not caught by the hunters, they (hunters) will each receive 50 credits. The credits will be accumulated during the first 8 episodes and by the final episode (9th), they have to pay during the final game.

If the participants got caught by the hunters, they will be eliminated from the round they're in and the hunters will receive 1/10 from the eliminated participants' accumulated credits. Also, while they're running away from the hunters, there will be missions for them to do.

If the participants completed and stay alive (not caught) during the 90-min mission, they will receive 270,000 credits. The concept is 18 rabbits running away from hunters. They can work alone or pair up for the missions.

The show is said to be airing after the end of I Am a Singer, and the first episode is estimated to be aired on 29th of April, 8.20pm GMT+8. Of course, there are room for changes.

Edit: It is said that JY has cancelled all schedules he has for today to fly to Hainan

That's a great find, thank you! I am intending to eventually transcribe and record piano solo versions of all of ZZ's songs, so that piano accompaniment version will really come in handy for me as a reference so that I don't have to start from scratch.
