It seems they let time work for them and things will calm down.
There are several possibilities I see. They are still in good terms but want to keep it absolutely private, because of the difficult social and cultural circumstances.
Don't forget we saw them mostly only in front of a camera never in a real private interaction. Only very few people know the truth.
Our minds act in a very strange way. The mind can't stand to be wrong. We saw two people in love, harmony and happiness even in real life through all the BTS and fancams. So it must be true. And it is hard to let it go. Also because there is a deep desire in every human being to have this, or even to witness this.
Maybe their bond was never as strong as we believe. And they separated by mutual agreement to go their own individual ways.
There is also another possibility (that is what I believe). One of them really fell in love and it was not reciprocal. Separation is the only way to solve this. Let time heal the wounds. And both suffer, also the one who wants to be a friend. (I won't go into detail for now)
Either way. Let us celebrate what they both have been able to show so innocently, committed and honest. I am sure it will remain in their memories and always be part of their lives.

I beg to differ, for me, they can still appear on any shows together, like Running Man, or RFT that got them completely edited out back then. They can appear in shows as "Most anticipated new actors" instead, but then we know China probably will continue to block their paths from intercepting ever again

I seriously don't know what they are trying to do. So they would be happy if both JY and ZZ start saying they hate each other, wishing they have never acted GH and BLY, wishing ShangYin never happened? lol They consider themselves as JY and ZZ's fans yet they want other people think that JY and ZZ is ungrateful to what make/help them become who they are today, bad-mouth the only person who literally go through every ups and downs along the way together since they enter this pathway? If thats the case, it might be better that those crazy fans get out of both JY and ZZ's fandom though. They cause more harm than good anyway. Also, please don't tell me they weren't once crazy about Shangyin? If there was no Shangyin, there would be no JY and ZZ today. Similar story, if it wasn't because of JY, ZZ and their explosive chemistry, Shangyin wouldn't be the Shangyin that made all of us went crazy and sticked around til this day. Thats a fact that no one can deny!

I doubt he is that type of person. Hence I am waiting for the tipping point when they have to address this issue. They are smart enough I think to do so in a way that will unite both parties even if for a short while.

In my mind, I hope someone would ask questions like:

Would you have accepted the role if you have known how things will turn out?

Do you mind if some of your fans continue to associate you with Guhai?

If there is a chance to work with ZZ again? Would you?

 

This must be a very difficult situation for JY...(sad face)...And personally I really hate it when only-fans attacked the person who said "happy birthday Gu Hai" to JY. JY himself must be very proud of his acting as Gu Hai (he said this is the start of his career as an actor). Now the only fans made it looks like they are ashamed of the fact that JY once acted as Gu Hai. It must have broken JY's heart into pieces. I remembered JY stayed up very late that night. Not sure if he was pondering over this incident earlier that day.

That said, until JY can figure out a good way to fix this, I think he would have to remain silent for a while. He is still at a very early stage in his career and he cannot afford to lose any of his fan groups, be it only-fans or CP fans.

Luckily the conflicts between fans does not seem to have adversely affected JY's working opportunities, magazine sales, etc.  So if the conflicts can remain within the fandom, they should still be bearable. But personally, I feel really sad and angry when I see conflicts between only-fans and CP fans. I hope these conflicts can be gradually phased out when JY has new focus in his career.

Has anyone watch the video where only fans scolded a CPF for saying "happy birthday, guhai". I have not watched and wonder if JY reaction then suggests that he is supportive of only fans more than that CPF.

Sometimes I hope one day someone will be brave enough to ask them what they think about fans who attack or exclude the other party. A question like would you like to collaborate with ZZ/JY again if there is a chance? Are you not afraid of fans protest?

 

While I have no accurate statistics on this, I personally think JY's CPFs should out-number only-fans. I checked the comments on JY's latest Weibo update yesterday and I saw so many mentioning of ZZ, dog&cat emoji, and other signs/words that only CPFs would use. I think many CPFs (including me) started as JY's only-fans. Because we see JY's affection towards ZZ and we feel that we had to support ZZ as well. And when we know more about ZZ, we realize how amazing he is and we become CPFs eventually.

At the moment, the only-fans seems to be making a louder noise probably because the CPFs are suppressed by the ban. The only-fans are always worried that associating JY/ZZ with each other will affect them adversely (I think this is also the reason why we CPFs sometimes do not dare to voice out our thoughts). They feel that YuZhou's careers are at risk as long as CPFs exist. Many only fans also think the CPFs are delulu-ing too much and they feel it's disgusting to consider YuZhou as a same-sex couple.

No matter what the only-fans are thinking, the bottom-line is that as fans we have freedom of what we think and what we say. We can't judge others and we can't decide which fans are good for YuZhou and which fans are not. I mean only-fans and CPFs don't make a difference to YuZhou. We are all their supporters. I don't think they want only-fans to exclude CPFs for the simplest reason: why would they want to decrease the number of their fans???

Again I hope YuZhou can be allowed to show up together again in the future. When they can publicly show their good relationship, I think more only-fans will be converted into CPFs. LOL.

Reading the novel, I can't stop amaze how CJD wrote Hai's feelings towards Yin in the beginning. The way how Hai himself wondered why he felt uncomfortable when Yin gave Lulu that piece of meat. And why he was playing with Yin's face as he hugged him.

Of course we all know that's love but Hai was still trying to understand it why seeing Yin makes everything better.

JY is like in his own world while Xulu doing her interview and only look at Xulu while answering her question.
