Seriously, this thread has been awesome. Became a companion drug that i need to take a daily dose of alongside my addiction to the webseries. Thank you all.

 

If there is a clueless newcomer out there that stumbles here, i would definitely advise you to reread from page 1 to this point as you watch the series. But be warned. Only do so if you're prepared for a roller coaster ride of emotions:

 

 

First day you're like "Meh lets check this out" and then you're like "seems ok."

 

Then one day you're like "GYAAAAAH they're so cute.." and then the next day you're like "Can i Take them Home?!"

 

And another day you're like "I can't get the songs out of my head.. And yet i dont hate it! " (even if you dont understand a single lyric)

 

And then you realize you're hearing random sweet whispers of Johnny's voice saying "Bai Lou Yin.. " or "Yin Zi" or that of ZhouZhou pretending to reprimand GH shouting "Gu Hai!" (and to think this happens out of the blue, like when you're pooping or when you're alone lol)

 

And everytime a thought regarding the series, the novel, the characters, or the thread passes your mind.. You can't help it, but a smile suddenly creeps on your face. 

 

And then you ask yourself, AM I ADDICTED??   

 

But then JIN LULU makes an appearance and you catch yourself wanting to go to the thread just to see if someone else hates her as much as you do. Lol

 

You read and read and read. Without realizing it, you now can't let a day pass without lurking the pages.

 

You start to crave the spoilers, the novel comparisons, the revelations, of amazing people like @Leo456, @alvinboi, @guhai and many more. You even consider making a monument for  @skeletonworks for starting the thread.

 

And then soon. you'll decide you cannot contain this addiction by yourself anymore and decide to drop your lurking. You register and post. Hopefully welcomed by friendly souls like @fritzgerald

 

First you'll abuse the LIKE button like @jijiyoyoleo, @lolalarue, because hell, there are so much to like.  

 

And soon you'll maybe discuss stuff and spar wits with @blustrudels and @gayyoxx and @Lukasz D because reasons lol

 

And you thank the heavens for people like @lancei @tea4two @lalatelev @mchansk07 @samscheetah who actually speaks Chinese because they're your go-to resource persons.

 

 

Then you discover RICHARD SIMMONS and NO he's not another character. 

 

You See Smut, You Sense Smex, You Smile ala Sneaky Snake. And then you.. i dunno. 

 

Also, You're already so invested that you get embroiled into topics like "Who looks better" "Whos the better partner" "Who do i kidnap first" or to the ever dividing topic of "WHO TOPPED WHO first?" (or "Team Majestic Object vs Team Little Monster")

 

And then you get to the discussion of RAPE. And while rape is never to be tolerated in real life, you get yourself thinkin..

 

Fast forward to around page 50 where you read rumors of an inspection. A ban. Then a takedown.. And you find yourself filled with dread.

 

  "Is there life after episode 12?"  

 

Cue: internal tears

 

And then suddenly 3 fudgin episodes are released and you along with your fellow addicts rejoice but at the same time fear for the worst. Imagine that. Extreme happiness and extreme sadness in one body at the same time. You go crazy. But then again, you already are.

 

And now you're here..

I just wanted to say another thing - I have been a long time lurker and even a regular poster on many sites, this has been going on for years really, I often find myself drawn to communities such as this one where I can discuss my opinions with people who share my interest in certain topics, but never before did I find myself checking a thread more than once a day like I do now, nor did I ever refresh said topic every five minutes (like I also do now) excitedly waiting on a reply that I am dying to hear. This thread is also my addiction, not just this show that we all love. So are you guys. The atmosphere here is so positive and pleasant. I love all of your updates. I find myself smiling a whole lot more when some of you post in a way that has already become familiar to me. I love your styles, your writings, your opinions. That's all I wanted to say for now, better stop before I get too sappy.

but I can not help to fee rather disappointed with the unrealistic potrayals, especially with the military and billion yuans proposal. Even BLY entering military is a bit far fetched because usually military corps are not readily accept gays. 

CJD sues who? Chinese government? Wow if that is true, that is very bold and risky move from her.

Yup, word for word translation -- almost till his intestines were on fire.. They also focused alot on BLY saying he is afraid of pain, and probably has a really low tolerance for physical pain.

Throughout the rape scene, BLY held through his pride, which IMO makes him sexy and more real of a character.

Boy oh boy the thread is nearing 100 now.. I read through chp 128-131 last night..

Here's my summary:

Spoiler

1) Alot of hospital scene where BLY was recovering and he continues to silent punish GH for what he has done

2) GH stayed through the whole time taking care of BLY

3) BLY recovered and told GH he needs some time away from GH, so he went back home

4) In the meantime, drama brews at home, BLY's dad was getting worried without hearing about BLY whereabouts for weeks. And at this point in time, it was already CNY, neither BLY or GH had been home for CNY. Which is a huge holiday among the Chinese. 

5) BLY's mom (she really became a richard simmons here, can't help it, it's the way she talks to his dad - and it's interesting the first time you see their dynamics in one scene, its no wonder why they divorced) whines and complains that it's his dad fault for BLY missing.

6) BLY finally returned home, only to find home empty, and greeted by a few slaps from his neighbor. Telling him he's such an ingrate, made his dad so worried, and grandma is in the hospital because of him.

7) BLY arrived in the Hospital to see the family there except his dad, Shen Er told BLY that his dad went out searching for him.

8) BLY called his dad only to find his mom answering the call. Curious, he went to find her.

9) BLY arrived at his mom's place, drama here and there, his mom wants him to stay and refuse to let him go back with his dad.

10) BLY words like a knife slicing through her heart, telling her it's none of her business and stay out of his way (if I rmb correctly, I skipped alot of words in this scene, too soap operaish)

11) BLY hung out with Yang Meng, they went out for the last day of CNY festival, they won a massive (Yuen Xiao - I think it's gluttonous rice ball) Chinese people eat rice balls on the fifteenth day of the lunar new year to signify togetherness among family. 

12) BLY told the distraught SH they are over, and he revealed that he was going to look for her to tell her that he knew all along, SH had plotted about the "pretend rape" or a scene so that she would get his attention back away from GH. He just kept quiet just to see how it all played out, and needless to say, GH acted out of the line again. Deep down his feelings for GH didn't change.. and he told SH to give up and they are over. (Good grief! The end of the SH arc)

13) The first actual scene where BLY was with his step brother, he asked why isn't GH gege (brother) back for Yuen Xiao festival? GH always buys him toys and plays with him. That moment, he was reminded of GH (did I missed out, that GH was also missing when the family drama happened, everyone was worried about GH missing too), he knew GH is probably alone back in the apt. He told his dad he needs to go, someone needs him now, despite his dad telling him to at least finish dinner before he go. (It was weird cause, the novel writes, grandma had a grandpa.. As BLY said goodbye to grandma and grandpa)

This following was probably my favorite scene thus far. 

14) GH was dejected and in his destructive self blaming mood. He hadn't eaten for days, the apartment smells of rot, and all he did was drowning his sorrows in alcohol. He was in a wretched state, weak, he got up and reached for the refrigerator, only to find it empty. He went for the last bottle of red alcohol (I think it's a strong chinese clear alcohol - almost as strong as vodka - I had it before, it's quite popular in BJ) and felt more sorry for himself. The doorbell rang, it continued to rang for a while longer, and GH finally realized someone was at the door. He mustered his last strength to see who it was.. The familiar shadow/figure, he pulled open the door, there stood BLY, wearing the same scarf and gloves that they bought for each other during Christmas, the same suitcase he took that BLY had left him. 

He threw BLY into his arms, in that moment of silence, nobody could describe the relief BLY return had bought to GH, nobody could describe how important BLY is to GH. GH wrap his arm around BLY back, smiled and placed his face (mouth) close to BLY's (ear), to feel BLY body close to him once more as though they are as one again. 

Initially, BLY had feelings were numbed when he was at the door, but just at this moment, he started melting away his exterior and was moved by GH presence once more. 

After a while, BLY broke the silence, and said to GH, "You owe me big time!" GH responded and said confidently, "I'll definitely win you back!"

BLY smiled back and told GH to help him in with his suitcase.

Then GH asked, "What's in the bag?"

BLY responded, "I won this Yuen Xiao from the festival!"

GH bolted and saw the date on the TV and realized he had been drowning all his sorrows that he forgot it's such a big date and felt really touched that BLY chose to spend this day with him. (Shows GH significance to BLY, to a level he chose GH over his family)

GH took the lead and tell BLY to rest while he heats up the YuenXiao/Rice Balls, as he heads to the kitchen to start the stove fire.

BLY tagged along, and reminded GH to not f*uck this one up, or else they'll both end up hungry this time.

 That's what I was wondering too... I don't think this would be a wise move from her. I'm getting mixed infos about this. Someone says it is because of the ban, some say it is because her and the Addicted weibo account got hacked.

As for me I was never a fan of Gay drama until I was hooked into Glee and I fell in love with the Klaine couple it's Kurt and Blaine if you are a Glee fan you know them hahaha, then I saw this Canadian series which is what should I say the hottest I have seen it's Queer as Folks and I fell in love with playboy type seme, then this German drama that has a gay couple and I became hook with gay dramas, until I more fell in love with Asian Gay love Story thanks to the Takumi-kun series and it made me write lots of fanfic about them and that time I was so obsessed with Misu-Shin pairing, I really want those cold type seme and a meek uke and sudden reversal when the Uke seems to give up hahaha.... Even in Manga I would rather read yaoi manga though most are a non realistic of no homophobic people in the storyline, and this January Addiction/ Heroin appeared I accidentally just view as I was looking for some new Asian gay story in Youtube and I became so addicted, it's not the typical Uke who is head over heels with a seme it's kind of a reversal cmpared to what I have watched before and they are all good looking actors though what I wish is they give more YM and YQ screentime coz I am not able to feel the presence of the other 2 main leads and Yang Meng is really girly I want to see the progress of their relationship I mean if someone had read the novel can someone tell me when did they start falling for each other?

About her suing someone, apparently it's regarding the fact that someone faked some interviews and impersonated her, and she's taking legal action. It's not confirmed yet, but the faked interviews could be the particularly long one where there were numerous questions regarding the actors, season 2, the kissing scenes etc. They were posted a few pages back on the forum. 

This is based off the Taiwanese fan site and translated, but there aren't many details so it can't be confirmed yet.

watching both drama & reading the novel, i feel BLY in novel & zhou's BLY are slightly different. it's very interesting how a character can be quite different. the GH are pretty much the same, but not for BLY. in my opinion, the BLY in drama is nicer & more tender toward GH. all thanks to zhou2's acting & their chemistry did their trick here, adding the whole deep feeling & attraction between them.

Oh, BLY  in drama is more tender? Wow! I never expected that because as far as I know, there are lots of scenes which show how BLY cares to GH which got cut from the drama. Like the one before/after eating moon cake?

Imagine if all of those scenes are included in the series! *swoon* *nosebleed*

This is the first forum i check every minute and be happy coz there is always updates about our favorite drug (if you know what i mean,, smirk)  haha because sadly its the end of season 1 and the start of s2 is so frustatingly long for my liking,, i feel like im gonna die if i dont see any updates every minute,, see?? Thats what this webseries do to me,, arggghhh anyways, are there any Filipino here?? I'm so interested to buy the DVD if ever they produce it !! Well, to be honest, I don't see anything unusual from that interview. We already have that kind of information (that Zhouzhou got embarrassed, that the chemistry is great between the two etc) from many BTS and live interview. The new info were on DVD and Season 2; which make me sad if those info are fake

Yep, it seems that one of the implications is that the information regarding the DVD and season 2 might be fake. But who knows! Let's remain hopeful haha
