Gong Hyun Joo Faints Underwater While Diving in “Law of the Jungle”

Gong Hyun Joo experienced a scare during the recent “Law of the Jungle” episode! The actress had appeared on the show to join her boyfriend, Lee Sang Yeob, in Samoa.

On the January 1 broadcast, Kim Byung Man and his team attempted a 50 meter dive relay. Gong Hyun Joo was seventh in line and jumped in the water without any hesitation. Lee Sang Yeob, watching her go down, said, “In the water she’s better than I am.”

At first the actress grabbed the safety line expertly and propelled herself downwards. However, after a while she started acting strangely, with faint traces of movement but hovering in the same spot. It turned out that she had fallen victim to LMC (loss of motor control), a loss of consciousness and or movement caused by lack of oxygen in the brain.

Luckily, the safety operator helped the actress to the surface, where she regained consciousness. Lee Sang Yeob, worried, soon hurried to her side.

“Law of the Jungle” airs every Friday at 10 p.m. KST.
