iKON to Attend the 5th Gaon K-Pop Awards

iKON is the next group that has been confirmed as attendees at the upcoming “5th Gaon K-Pop Awards”! It was previously announced that BIGBANG and EXO will also be attending the annual show.

The award ceremony is hosted by Gaon, one of Korea’s major music charts, and celebrates the year’s chart-topping albums and tracks. Awards are given out to the artists and groups who took first place on Gaon’s digital song sales chart for each month of the year, and who grabbed the top spot on the album sales chart for each quarter.

The “5th Gaon K-Pop Awards” will be held on February 17, 2016 at the Seoul Student Gymnasium.

iKON only debuted in the fall of this year, but they have already proved themselves with highly successful hits such as “Rhythm Ta” and “My Type.” The group released their first full-length album “Welcome Back” at midnight KST on December 24, which features their two title tracks “What’s Wrong?” and “Dumb and Dumber.”
