Ryu Jun Yeol emphasis as an actor is it’s important to have confidence on your own appearance. He said, “if you don’t have confidence, your acting will negatively be influenced. And then you can’t show the charm you have always had. Appearance is just one of the rough standards to evaluate you. If you hang your head down because of that, you will easily lose the rest. I love myself,” while showing his eye-smile.

yes, i think he already distanced himself from Jungpal. though he said, he still brokenhearted for Jungpal, but the way he said it, only as the actor. not his own pov. i believe the Namibia trip helping him to leave Jungpal's character, not to mention his busy schedule, stay with family during lunar new year's holliday, and even meeting with his friends. he lives as Jungpal for 5 months, no wonder he was broken hearted for Jungpal for the last 2 episode.

yes, he got the best advise possible from veteran actress / actor. no wonder he cherish her a lot. i love their relationship not limited as senior - junior or omma and oppa. they're also good friends. I agree with him that RMR is the best omma amongst R88 omma.

I think he will be cooly protecting the country. He will probably meet a good person and live a good life. I haven't really thought about this in detail haha.

Did I? Haha, I don't feel that it is too late. Although in comparison to actors my age it may be a little late...but I've lead an ordinary person's life went to college and army, got my life in order and shot 2 years of indie movies...unknowingly I am already 29.

No burden at all. Just like Reply 1988, I will approach my next project in happiness and I think good results will naturally follow.

Oh how did you know? I am at the 1 Kyu level. I learnt baduk for a few years, not just 1 or 2 years but longer than that. It was during this time that I got to know professional baduk player Cho Hye Yeon. We are neighnours and went to the same church. I met her once recently. Since the both of us are very busy, we don't keep in contact much. When we meet we play a bit of baduk. We've known each other since young and studied together. 

 

Note: I am assuming he is referring to his ranking as 1 Kyu. As far as I know in Korea the players are classified as professional, amateur and Kiwon players. Amateur players are those that play on a more serious basis and try to go pro. Kiwon players are those that do not play so seriously. For Kiwon players the rank can be anything between 1 Kyu to 25 Kyu, with 1 Kyu being the highest rank for this group. 

 

What is your family's reaction like?

 

My family is very happy but they have pulled me towards being calm and steady. At first I was really excited but with one word from my mother, she pulled me back down. She said "Popularity is only temporary. Don't be too obsessed with it and just proceed step by step like you have always done."

 

How similar is the real Ryu Jun Yeol to Junghwan?

 

At home I can be inexpressive like Junghwan but I can also be affectionate and friendly like Sun Woo. Just like Junghwan and Jungbong, I am also very close to my younger sister who is 1 year younger than me. We get along well like friends. Now that I've talked about her I remember that my sister said she prefers Taekie because Park Bo gum is so handsome.
