Hi peeps!

Some key changes in this update:

Editor updates(!!)

  • Uses div-mode which is much faster and more reliable. Clicking into the editor is now pretty much instant <- YAAAS
  • Auto-linking and member mentions to use new APIs for better reliability
  • Quotes, code boxes, and spoilers can be dragged and moved and there is no more "red line"
  • When cmd/ctrl right-clicking: options to remove or break-out of quotes, edit links and edit image properties
  • Pasting asks if you want to convert to plain text
  • Totally new code plugin with syntax highlighting as you type
  • Option to make enter behave as a new line rather than with spacing
  • Editor is responsive, and ability to have small editor show in areas with less space
  • Member @mentions in posts can now be selected by tab key
  • Selective quoting to highlight a bit of a post and quote just that

Messanger Updates

  • Select messages for multiple deleting in messenger
  • Make leaving a conversation clearer

Instant Notifications

  • Receive notifications via your Browser Notifications of new Personal Messages and anything in the notifications menu

No Longer Included

  • Areas such as View New Content, My Content, My Followed Content, Status page and so on are replaced by the new Activity Streams

Please post in this thread if you run into any weird formatting / posting issues - thank you! (like the spacing being crazy :x)

I'm having issues on mobile. I cannot reply to a thread or edit my post. When I click on the reply box all it shows is "Insert other media" as shown below and I cannot type anything. I waited for 2 min and nothing happened/changes.

    1vhe0_Xgm.jpg

Also I think the reply box icons are wrong?

The icon does not match with what it is suppose to be...

image.png (I think the smiley is suppose to be the Emoticon not the chain)

image.png (I thought the smiley let us put emoticon but it's not lol)

image.png (I think the chain would make more sense as a link icon than this gear. Looks more like for "settings")

image.png (That flag isn't in the center so wouldn't align right make more sense?)

If this isn't an issue well I guess we gotta get used to the icons and what each means :)

Oops! I think if you refresh the page and/or restart the browser, it will be correct. I just added some of those buttons back, so things are probably goofy due to things being cached in your browser.

    Let me know!

New updates! Another learning curve :D

I seem to be having problems selecting My Activity Streams -> Contents I Follow - it gives me a blank screen each time I select it. Is this just me?

Also, will this show me the thread listing, or every post that happens in the threads I follow? I would prefer to see just the threads for clarity, not the post/activities that goes on those threads. I can view the details as and when I visit the actual threads.

As for Unread Content, I do not see any option to view only Unread Content listing for threads that I follow - each time I select it, it shows me all the unread contents in every thread. My current workaround is to create a custom stream that filters only the threads I follow. Is this the case, or does the forum already have an equivalent option to view Unread Followed Contents?

    Thank you for your help.

Woot! The buttons are back! I had to clear my cached. Thanks!

Edit: mobile is working now :)

am confused! so if we only have a "manage followed content" (which I already have selected my options and I don't want any notifications), how do I get to the threads I follow regularly? do I have to go through the main menu and search for my threads? if I am on the phone, I don't want to be wasting my data combing through the main menu to search for the threads I follow.

I think the idea is to access it through the "activity" tab at the upper left, then "my activity streams", then "content I follow".  But I don't think it's working quite right at the moment.  Like others, my followed content keeps loading an empty page.

Before it stopped working entirely, though, I was also having trouble figuring out how to just see a list of the threads I follow.  I didn't play around with it much before the page stopped loading, so maybe I just missed it.  I would also prefer to have the list like it was before.  I don't really care who posted and what they posted, even in blurb form, until I actually decide to read the thread.  I just want to know if there are new posts or not, and it's a little more difficult to get that info without just a list.  On the plus side, though, this setup  gives more of an idea how many new posts there are in a given thread.  I do miss that feature from the old forums.  I can never be sure, when reading a thread with new content, if it's just one new post or several pages of new posts. :)

thanks @ecs707a on the phone, the activity tab does not show up at all and so the only tabs that are visible at the moment are the right hand ones and this means I actually can't access any of the threads at the moment. and while it works on the desktop, it is very confusing to navigate. as you said, I would also prefer to have the list like before. Depending on when I log in, there can be anywhere from 10 to 100+ new comments in a thread. imagine if 100+ comments were in blurb form!!! can't we just have a number display instead that tells us how many new posts are there like in the old forum?

P.S ~ the activity streams takes forever to load and when I tried to edit the stream to just show the content I follow, it only shows 2 threads instead of all the threads I follow. this is very confusing. is it because the other threads are not active and therefore, it will show only active threads at that moment. my favourite thread had an unread post that was was posted a little before the upgrade but it didn't show in the unread content. so if we want to post in a thread that wasn't active that hour, we have to do this circuitous route to find it???

My experience is the same with these new 'enhancements'.

I'm hoping the REMOVE FORMAT function can also be included in the edit box, it was there before. Clicking the functions twice like "bold" Italic" etc doesn't undo the previous format.

Hope what I'm saying here makes sense. :sweatingbullets:

    Thank you.

These options are already available. Clearing your browser's cache and cookies will bring them back ;)

Every time I try to edit the stream to just the content I follow, it shows me this:

    Error code: EX2

@theboxman If you are trying to create a stream to display Unread Contents that you follow, my workaround is as follows:

    1. Go to Activity -> My Activity Streams -> Unread Content

    2. Click "Edit this stream"

    3. Set Follow Status to "Only content I follow"

    4. Click on "Save as new stream"

    5. Enter new stream title e.g. "Unread Contents - Followed"

    6. Click on "Create New Stream"

To access it, Go to "My Activity Streams" and search for your newly created stream under "Custom Streams"

As for viewing all the followed contents, to date, I am still unable to view anything under "Contents I Follow" either. However, I am still able to see all the threads I follow via the original link e.g. Username -> Manage Followed Content at the top right hand corner. The only downside is that it no longer indicates which thread has unread content, nor does it take us to the last read post of the thread.

    Hope this helps

Thank you! This was super helpful. Yeah. When I went to check my followed content like usual, there was no indication of it being read or not. I really miss that. ):

When make a post with only Instagram blugged in images, I can't edit in it. Also that cause problem and prevent me from posting again on certain thread if such post is saved as draft and viewed in the new reply area each time I open the page.
