I don't know that I hate him but I don't really feel sorry for him either. Still he shouldn't get away free and easy for what he did.

Having responsibilities is what separates adults from children so it shouldn't be used as an excuse to avoid making decisions or sitting around waiting for something to happen. It is a normal part of life to take on more responsibilities and I don't think it should be seen as some kind of "get-of-jail" card when faced with moral dilemmas. Especially when you've made big promises to people (which are part of one's responsibilities too).

I can understand but I don't have to like it or accept it as normal behaviour because then we'd all be using it as an excuse for all kinds of criminal behaviour.

I admiring LJK since My Girl back in 2005. His character for me over shine LDW character and I like his chemistry better with LDH compared to LDW in that series. It's just that his face quite feminine to me that I found him interestingly beautiful. Ever since My Girl, I continuously watching his drama and love most of his works specifically Arang and the Magistrate and Joseon gunman. And every time I finished watching,  I have a strong post-withdrawal symptom from his drama and now I'm infected by it again. I need a cure. A.S.A.P

 

I agree with you I first saw him in arang and the magistrate and loved his character, looks, and acting.....so I looked for other dramas he was in and watched my girl, Iljimae,  too and looked up his pics on google and I felt that he is too pretty like in an uncomfortable way so I kinda faded off from watching his drama's........then he came out with the Scholar Who Walks the Night (2015) and I fell in love with his Character again I think he is meant for Historical  Melodrama Drama's they bring out the Actor/best in him (he always looks so sexy, and handsome and manly) and you fall in love with his looks and his voice and his character...So when SHR aired I was just swooning all over the place he is so sexy even the hair styles are gorgeous his voice and his character is outstanding I really cant get enough of him....I must add also I have also fallen for all the Prince's all of their characters are individual and you learn to love each one even the bad one's, I love their hair styles, their clothes I really must say I love this Drama too......I hope they make a part II.......I also have to say that all the cast has done a great job you get engrossed in each Character in the Drama with every episode, you love some, hate some, loathe some, cheer on some, cry with some that is how good the acting is by all the cast. (I didnt know anything about the novel or the Cversion) so I came into this Drama not knowing any of the details or comparison's and Im glad I didnt because it allowed me to fully enjoy this Drama all the more.

In the rain scene WS comes up to HS at the moment when WW is leaving. it can't be a mere coincidence.

She was there for two days, but WS came up only after WW so explicitly demonstrated he was not going to support HS. WS should've been watching HS but did not come up for quite a time knowing that for her it is very important to get a support from WW. He was waiting for WW to do it, but when WW decided not to and left, WS stood up for HS and sheltered her.

Like most of you guys, I really want to see the scene where SoSoo with masks like they are about to kiss ... but reading from a comment here mentioning that it should be from an earlier episode, I got disappointed,  But judging from Soo's hairstyle it's not the same as in the earlier episodes.  Her earlier style is with a braid like headband and the one with the mask she's got a big braided bun (like the spoiler pic she's in light blue and white with So's hair pin on her hair).  Also, doesn't look like So is wearing the iron mask.  If that's right, then the mask scene will be in later episodes.  Please show it to us.

Hi chingudeul!! I' m literally stuck at page 749..and couldn't keep up with you..great job! Keep it going eclipses...I'll try to catch up with you (hopefully )

So,I watched ep11 raw (without sub..coz I didn't have times to download the sub yet this morning)..and my heart break..I was crying,but I couldn't cry my heart out loud..it sucks (I was on a boat with so many passengers and I'm sure I look so weird for them..lol).

I always said from the start over and over, that I have faith to this drama,to the director,the writer,the actors/actressess..whatever it is that the aired episodes show to me,even though there were many our friends here feel sceptical..I always have faith to them..maybe because I could see the potential..or maybe I just a die hard fan..either way..I never dropped my confidence. And...I didn't disappoint at all,MLSHR more and more giving me what I always waited for,what I always believe in. I feel very proud of this show. It could prove that its worth all of the faith and all of our anticipates.

I could see that some of us worried that the love of WS-HS only pictured for 8 eps..but hey,don't be worried chingus..the writer and director had already prove their capability..so once again I'll have faith on them..I'll trust them. You know,even if it only 8 eps  I'm sure their love story would be more memorable to us than the 12 eps of HS-WW infatuation love. Even in real life..we could be in love with someone for so many years but actually ended with the one who we barely knew for months,just for an example anyway. Yes,maybe only 8 eps to picture HS-WS love story..but their love will be EPIC..and we will remember it for so long that we barely come back to our real life with no heavy weighs. We will remember it so much so we could forget the not oh so deep love between HS-WW.

So what if it only for 8 eps, as long as HS-WS love story stays in our heart then this drama has already reach its purpose. We will just have to wait and see the outcome in the next eps. And like I said, I didn't disappoint coz I could see the journey that we will through while watching MLSHR. Once again..Have Faith my dear friends.

Hello Eclipses  \^0^/  Work is in 2 hours time, and I didn't have a restful sleep at all -- MLSHR is killing me!

Anyway, before going to bed, I posted two complaints about last night episode. Now I want to readdress my complaint #2:

Why oh why did they spoil (not totally spoil, but still a pain in the butt) that perfect scene with the high-handed way of directing?!!!

WW walks all the way out... and then backtrack... and then turns away......... The theatrics of it all drives me nuts, and not in a good way. I know they need to drive the point home to HS (and the audience) that WW has "abandoned" her.  Yet they could have shown it in a whole more poignant way than this!

For example, if he were to be hiding behind a pillar and watching HS.... HS sees him, and softly calls out to him.... WW slinks back away into the safety of the cover of darkness and rain...

That would still have made the emotional impact on both HS and the audience, and in a more human way. The way it was shown cheapens the scene with its obviousness, and I want to strangle the director/writer for that. As it is, the emotion of the scene is 10/10 for me, but they could have pushed it to 11... but missed the chance. Why does this show falter every time it's about to reach greatness???

 

As much as I am still irked by the unrealistic theatrics in the portrayal of WW in this scene, I realize that it is made almost worth it by this particular shot:

To me, the shot signifies the exact turning point in the relationship of the three.

It is not when WS spread his cloak out to shelter her. It is also not when WW turned away. No matter what the two guys do, the decision to accept either of them is up to her.

The turning point is when HS finally makes the decision to accept WS's offer of protection... when she literally places herself under his wings.

Sigh...... #feels

@gihwayujo @TeBe  Thank you for your insight regarding WW's future actions. What I really hope for is for YH to regret making her brother go down this path and unleashing his vicious side.  Perhaps he will grow so cold and heartless, that she too will find herself unsafe and in the line of fire. 

After going through post-episode withdrawals (happens every Wednesday... ), I thought I would come here for some therapy and express some more thoughts about episode 11.  

This really wasn't a warm/fuzzy episode, but ironically one scene did make my heart flutter. 
When WS went to see HS in the jail, one of the last things she said to him was "Listen to the doctor...take your treatment...you don't have to come here anymore."  I know this scene was supposed to be tearful, but to me, it made my heart flutter.  When WS couldn't think he could fall EVEN MORE in love with HS, I think when he heard those words, he fell even deeper. You can literally see the expression on his face change and how he is so grateful to finally have someone care for his well being. Despite her own predicament, she still worries for him.  It leaves him on the brink of tears.  Clearly at that moment, you can see he's a goner and will be following her around for life.    LJG and IU just owned that scene!

After betrayal, I like a good revenge plotline paying the betrayer in 10 fold.
BUT, I personally don't think HS will ever have it in her because she just wasn't written that way.  Therefore, I hope she will get her revenge on WW by showing how happy she is with WS.  Wouldn't that be the sweetest revenge?!   But, in order for this to happen... there must be some sort of peaceful, down time, right?  I'm hoping when the CP becomes king (as short lived as it may be), there will be some OTP moments for our So/Soo couple.  And if there are, I'm sure WW will be around to witness it.  Maybe it'll make him so insane, that it leads him to join forces with Yoo to end the CP reign because he can't stand their happiness...?  What do you think?

And finally... why I can't forgive WW...
I completely understand WW choosing his family over HS.  I get it...  However, what I can't forgive is WW asking Lady Oh to save HS.  Lady Oh was like a mother to HS and he knew she would die for HS.  I felt like he was thinking, "Well... I can't sacrifice anyone in my family, so someone in HS's "family" will need to do it."  WW didn't care how that would devastate HS and give her a guilty burden for the rest of her life.  He only wanted to ensure HS was alive to fulfill his selfish love.   In addition,  I really believe that WS didn't ask Lady Oh to sacrifice her life because he KNEW how it would impact HS.  He knows what it is like to live without a mother, and he wouldn't want HS to lose another family member - especially since he was watching her fall apart during her MH's funeral.  At least WS was brave to sacrifice HIMSELF to save HS knowing he was going against the king.

But... I do still have love for KHN... awesome actor!

No matter what he pledged they were all just empty words. Compared to Wang So who nearly did die drinking the poison trying to protect her. Wang Wook must feel near impotency at her words. Harsh but true. She's laying it all out bare for him. 

''The reason men in the royal family are cowards is always the same'' She sees and recognises his ambitions. He will never fight for Hae Soo nor take her side, not when it boils down to his ambitions or his family. At this point, with the stern talking to Lady Oh is delivering he should pay heed and cease his attempted wooing of Hae Soo. If he really loved her he would not want to see her suffer and want her happiness above all else. He cannot give her that happiness so it is time for Wook to step aside. There is one more deserving of Hae Soo's affections. 

Edit: I'm a hardcore SoSoo but even I swooned at some of the interaction between Wook and Hae Soo. The endgame for me has always been and will always be SoSoo but I would have liked to believe in Wooks love all the same even if it was from a far. That's why I think I'm so disappointed. I know their ship will flounder and sink but seeing it is far different to imagining it.

I'm reading your post and nodding my head. I agree with the majority of what you said. Scarlet Heart Ryeo is not without it's flaws. That being said, we do differ in that I've felt and am still feeling the draw for Moon Lovers. Perhaps had they done a scene by scene reproduction of the original c-drama I wouldn't be here. I find this adaptation refreshing and can completely feel the storyline our OTP are telling. The differences are what make it equally compelling viewing in my mind. I loved Bu Bu Jing Xin but in the same sense I also love this re-telling even with it's less than stellar editing at times. Perhaps I'm not a c-version purist and that's what makes it easier for me to fall in love with the storyline all over again. Not that there's anything wrong with being a purist. It shows how great the c-version was to have impacted on you so thoroughly. I hope you can come to love this version with the same fervor as well.

Maybe it is something small compared to how epic was this last episode but I was touched when Wang So came to see her in jail. He has not talked to her standing up. He sat down on the floor wanting to be closer to her. Like he would want to share with her the all the pain.

One of my favorite convos;

I thought in this last pic, he turns his head (because he can't keep looking at her or will cry) and thinks to himself why he REALLY did it. This might be the moment that it truly hits him. Yes he was calling her his person, kissing her etc before, but now he's actually realizing that maybe friendship and love are different, he did what he did to not gain her affection (as she says), but simply because he loves her (far cry from what he did for his mother in the beginning).

He didn't even have to say it, it screams "..because I love you". Seriously, my heart.......
