I have been a hardcore Wook shipper from eps 1-8, but I think what's officially made me jump ship to SoSoo is that line in the preview "I don't believe you're afraid of me. Because you're my only friend. Whether its love or friendship; it's all the same to me"
That is the moment where you realise WangSo's love for Haesoo goes far beyond the nature of Wook's love for Haesoo in my opinion. No doubt, Wook loves Haesoo dearly, but that's a different kind of love.

I think when you tie in that "whether it's love or friendship line" with the forced kiss, it paints a thousand words to the viewers.
I usually HATE forced kisses, especially in modern dramas, but in this case it ACTUALLY helps with the character and plot development. He didn't force kiss her because he needed her romantic reciprocation, he did it because after a whole miserable life of no one acknowledging his existence and treating him like he is the dirt beneath the ground, he wanted to desperately keep the one thing in his life that made him feel accepted and, the first person who actually treated him like a human being; an equal."
And i think that's the reason why So is the match for Soo, because they will always treat each other as equals. He is the match for her because he's already lived a life breaking societal conventions, where as although Wook loves her dearly, his upbringing from that old era ultimately means that he has to follow traditions, stay inside the box, and will never be able to give 21st century Haesoo what she needs.

Gahhhhhh now everytime i think about that line "Whether its love or friendship; it's all the same to me" it kills me insideeeeeeee. I'm positive he's going to feel awful and guilty in the next ep for forcing himself on her, (and ofc that doesn't make it right for what he did - but we are in the bloody saeguk era where men did far beyond worse things to women). And nowwwwww.... we wait for So to win Soo over with his unconditional love for her, even if her love can only extend towards him as friend at this point in timeeeee. In the end, that's what's going to give their relationship so much more depth. 
Okay now  Monday come sooner!!!!!!!!!

I also think the second lead syndrome is real too for many people because KHN portrays Wook so well. I think if someone else portrayed the 8th prince, his character could have come across as really bland and one-dimensional, but KHN successfully portrays the 8th princes as a conflicted, multi-faceted character where there is much more to him than meets the eye. Then you also factor in KHN's squishy cinnamon bun like nature in real life, and I'm just like omg we must protect him at all costs! But then I'm like snap out of it girl, you are team So and Soo now ahhah

You beat me to it! HA! I think after this drama im officially a big fan of KHN. IU and Ha Neul seem to be very close judging from the BTS. I guess KHN was telling the truth lol. this picture is comforting my WW-HS ship at the moment.

interesting enough that in IU fanmeeting there are question about who her favorite prince in this drama.. her answer is WS and WJ... why???

because WS and WJ love never change throughout the drama....

that's why i think we can safely said that WS love is just going to be more deep no matter what happen or no matter how much HS push him aside.. WS already decide that HS will belong to him and he will do anything to make sure she with him...i mean even IU ship WS and HS.. they both belong and already fated to be together... you can't fight something that bound to happen by universe.. i mean she arrive there to meet her fated lover and that man is WS...

WJ??? for now if its follow the novel (i pretty sure it will).. he will became a fine man and never back his word to protect HS even if its mean he dies.. my take is he will be send to go to war and slowly mature..

in novel 14th will became a crown prince (my take is when WY ruled) and HS will be offer to married him cause he loved her but HS will reject it cause she loved WS at that time.. so she demoted to slave cause disobeying the king and that's when WS will fight to be a king.. later on when WS and HS together she will face so many thing that against their love and have enough so she will ask BaekAh to go to WJ and want to married him cause the king before left a decree that saying HS will married WJ.. he did and trust me WS cannot against the decree and HS will spend her last year with WJ.. also died in WJ hug...

 

her favorite prince is totally the one who have significant effect in HS life.. the one who loved her so deep that he will love her even when he die and the one who stand and care with her in her last day.. so it make sense...

I'd have to agree. me having SLS alot of it has to do with the way KHN is portraying him (WOOK), he even said the reason he was attracted to "wook" is due to the 'arc" of his character in this drama, i can't wait to see how he portrays wook from now on. i've been following his work since "Heartstring" and Ive always thought he was good, but now I think he's just as great as any A-lister actor in KOREA. maybe KHN and IU can work on another drama or maybe even a duet together in the future.

MOON LOVERS - SCARLET HEART RYEO: EPISODE 9 - SPOILERS - PRESUMPTIONS AND THEORIES.

Now that I got to watch the sub version of episode 9, I think I might have something that is more than just a theory. It would be the best, and saddest, plot twist that could happen to this drama. And something that I truly believe would happen.

We have this story that many know, from the novel or from the chinese drama, and we also have some history facts. If you’d have to make a drama where a lot of people know what is supposed to happen because they know history facts or had any contact with the novel/drama, wouldn’t you create a plot twist that no one was expecting, so it could be diffrent and take people by surprise, when they were expecting something else to happen?

They do have creative licence on history.

If you haven’t guessed by now, the theory goes like this: remember that guy who turns to be evil and kills his brothers? That guy could easily be Wang Wook. Yes, our precious prince that no one would suspect of such things. Just think about it, it would be THE PERFECT PLOT TWIST. We all know him as the kind guy who likes to do good. And not to mention the smile. Oh God! ♥

“As for me…there must be a seat that is necessary for me to fill. What could it be?”

Did you saw the look on his face when he had this conversation with his sister? What seat could he possibly fill?

We saw him using arrows in the preview for E10 and E11. In HaeSoo’s vision, what was Eun stabbed with? Arrows? Hmm. Maybe HaeSoo is confused, thinks that So will kill everyone and sees So as the protagonist of her visions. But what if, instead of So, the guy from her visions is Wook? Would she suspect the guy she thinks she loves? Well she did once, for a second or two.

We do know that he kills people too. He told her he did it once, he killed one right in front of her.

I feel that this drama needs that evil character that makes things worst. Sure, we have Yo, we have the Queen, we have Wook’s sister, but it feels like something is missing, don’t you think? We need that one character that brakes all our hearts into tiny pieces. Now if we all believe that So is that guy…we might be wrong, especially since the beginning of this drama we thought he’ll be the guy. 

Why would the creators make a drama where we know how everything will end, when they have creative licence on history and can change things and make this story different? 

Wouldn’t it be the perfect plot twist for Wook to fill that seat? 

Would you exepct it?

Would viewers expect that? Most of them not, because he never looked suspicious. Until now

Arang and the Magistrate is really good! Of course, he was amazing in that drama! He was also in Joseon Gunman, but he had great chemistry with the 2nd female lead (Jeon Hye Bin) over the main female lead (Nam Sang Mi) imho...

I already read BBJX's synopsis but never realize that in the end HS will marry WJ. At first I thought they just will live together in their hiding place. But as I know HS will only love WS until the end. She even send a letter to WS in her last time but sadly WS never have a chance to read that letter until HS died.

To be honest I watch the other drama together. But somehow I stop watching it. Maybe too sweet. I found this drama are more intrigue, heart pounding and the love story are more beatiful despite expecting the sad ending.

The relationship of either WW-HS or WS-HS are both sad and deep. That what a relationship is all about. With both ups and downs. Maybe because i am on the older generation of viewers, I like Moon Lover love story telling better eventhogh we have multiple ships in the same drama.

Here's my guess:



In the long preview, you can see a glimpse of a scene when HS rushes toward a (black-robed) person falling to the ground in the Palace's premises (a small pavilion somewhere in the gardens). That seems to be the scene following the one when WS spits blood after drinking the poison: same scenery on the background, same light (daytime)... In that case, the girl's sure to have quite a thrill!
