The pages are moving so fast. After my whole day of Work, I open this page, more than 20 pages to read.

Today, my co teacher asked me why moonlight rating is better than moonlovers. She is watching Moonlovers but she is not watching ML. 

So I said, although I watched the other drama but I am so bias with MoonLovers so I can't find myself excited for the  next episode of Moonlight. As for me Moonlovers is better than Moonlight. 

She is also a big fan of Moonlovers.

I think yes Soo is the most important to So right now. Her helping him remove his mask and cover his scar is definitely the turning point in his fate. She helped him grow and realise that people don't care and respect you for what you look like. They do so for the person you are. All this "good fortune" that has been shone upon him is all thanks to Hae Soo. The downside of this revelation is that Hae Soo has gotten nasty visions of him when he does become Gwangjong and she is terrified of what she thinks he will become. The care and kindness she had for him has been overshadowed by all the grim visions she has been experiencing.

I think when he announced that he wanted Hae Soo to be his it was just all good timing that everyone was there to hear it. And I think that happened for a reason because the camera did pan to Wook, Baek Ah and Eun's faces revealing their reactions. He is becoming quite obsessive and possessive and this is heightened when she tries to push him away. Like I mentioned in my Ep 9 review him forcing himself onto her shows that he won't let her go and that he is basically marking her as his. I mean he even verbally says it. But the fear she has for him is quite extreme as she is not only worried that he will turn into a monster but that all those around her that she cares about may die. 

I'm just really curious as to how she will react after the kiss is over. Will she fear him more? What will it be like when Wook finds out since he already professed his love for her. The complexity of their relationship makes this show that much more interesting and we are slowly beginning to see the layers of both So and Wook which are very different from what we initially witnessed. MONDAY PLS COME ALREADY!

Unni.. below line from ur posts sums it up perfectly why WA reacted that way(forced kiss).

When one considers that his modus operandi used to be "throat grab" or "kill and ask questions later", the kiss would actually be a step up in confrontation strategy especially when he was that close to losing control

He was always an aggressive person who does not know how to react in such extreme emotional moments with words when you are at ur weakest (already hurt by evil mom and then the omly person you want to be belonged just disowns you and moving away from you). He always reacts offensively before anyone could attack him just for his defense. He might have done that to stop HS doing anything rational like running away from him, leaving him broken all alone there.

yes, I think I need therapy.  That is the perils of watching dramas life. Damn it for the simulcast , else I would have watch it after its over.  too late now. 

hmm, i think what I most dislike about HS's change of heart is she is treating WS like a criminal. Man, that guy hasnt even commit the crimes she visualised, if he really will do them. But I know its a plot device. I just hope she changed back sooner.

She's creating distance between them but it wasn't bothering him. He just questioning her about it in everyday manner. Like when you ask your lover, "Why haven't you eat today? Is your stomach unwell?" as soft and cocern as possible. Sorry for the bad metaphor hehe. He also took a step forward to be closer to her. 

With Wook, it's as easy as breathing air because he is a gentle person initially. That's just his thing: being gentle and caring and comforting. Seeing him triple fold it, just making me goes 'aaawwwhh'. But with WS is not like that. He's not naturally gentle and soft. So seeing him like this is like a gift from heaven. He put so much effort and his voice is so much sexier that way..

yes, he was already talking to her with much love but she doesnt see it. 

And I read the posts about seeing things from her perspective. Erm, yes I agree somewhat. but it just make this scene very sad.

I am not sure if this has been shared before, but in the actors' forum, someone posted a korean article stating how Wang So's scene during the rain ritual at the end of ep 7 achieved peak ratings of 12.8% (highest for the drama yet)! This is good news since the drama is shifting towards the Wang So narrative so we should be seeing an improvement in the ratings. 

However, i am pretty sure the Korean SBS version will start to reduce scenes from other characters (like Woo Hee) to give Lee Joon Gi more screen time (not that I am complaining). Also the next few episodes will more likely feature a cliffhanger involving Wang so (this is because dramas tend to achieve their highest ratings towards their last scenes, especially when the drama from a rival station has ended and the audience switches over. Sometimes viewers watch shows simultaneously and having a longer run time enables the viewer to catch the endings of both dramas and decide which channel they will  tune in for the next episode.  Which is why the tv stations are always trying to cut in more footage at there very last minute so that their drama can end a few seconds later than the rival station's drama to get an extra spike in the ratings game). 

Good news is we'll see more Lee Joon Gi in the next few episodes. Sad news is that the puking blood scene will most definitely be the cliffhanger for ep 9.

And I knew I should have held the rain ritual, seeing how the two versions continue to diverge... gah. As such, here are some of the differences I noted in between them:

Additional scenes in SBS version:
1. Soo's internal monologue when Eun refused the marriage
2. Soo giving So a makeup session before attending Eun's wedding
3. Eun's talk with Seon Deok after the wedding and her sleeping on the floor

 

Additional scenes in International version:
1. Jung's dialogue with Eun after being defeated by Seon Deok, which Eun was disgusted over
2. Soo-Eun scene before the wedding, when he speaks of himself as lacking compared to his brothers, and said "I knew from the beginning, you would never be mine." Poignant scene, well executed by Baekhyun.
3. Extra kiss

This time round, I feel that the editing and background music from the insidious family dinner leading to the kiss (or kisses) is far better executed in the International version. I love that they interspaced Wook's ruminations of Soo's warnings between the dinner scene and So's return home amid menacing music, heralding what Soo has inadvertently set in motion what she has been trying so hard to avoid - pitting Wook against So and setting him up for failure.

I am glad Soo's internal monologue is added back into the SBS version, which should reinforce the clash between her modern sensibilities and the confines within which everyone's lives revolve in Goryeo. It being reminiscent of the Cversion, when Ruoxi realises that even a prince's life is not his own, but at the whim of the emperor.

No worries! I remember when I first came to this community oh how it's grown  sorry I did edit my post and added some bits I forgot. 

Yes and precious things and opportunities don't come often so when it comes to what So can do for Soo to protect her he will do it. 

Yea that's what I'm most worried about. Wook has always been the type to "do the right thing". When Lady Hae was still alive and he caught feelings for Soo he tried to hard to deny it. He doesn't want to do anything wrong and usually he suppresses his emotions. This will eventually destroy him. Even now he wants to help Soo but he doesn't know how. He just lost a golden opportunity to free her from the palace but that became redundant cause of Eun's marriage. 

Wook will definitely not go down without a fight but I think the fight for Soo and the throne will turn his "perfect" character dark. I mean some of his expressions have gotten quite dark in the recent Eps. I feel like he will realise that he needs to fight for what he loves and cares for. He doesn't have such a strong drive in comparison to So. I personally hate seeing him and So fight or at odds. How lovely it would be to see them happy together. Life isn't always fair aye. 

This fight will break me. They both have killing intent in their eyes. It's so intense.

SHR DC fans are currently discussing terms for recruiting a team to request an all-inclusive version of SHR on DVD/Blu-ray. Because Korea has such a small market for such media, drama fans have to organize an effort to convince the producers that it's worthwhile and give them an estimate of sale volume to get something like this released. Pray that we will have a good team to pull this off! I had helped with Healer before, and know how stressful this is. I just want to see all the scenes that were shot and didn't make it to either versions of the released episodes (scenes we've seen from the 6-min trailer, other episode trailers, mentioned by the cast in interviews/their social media, etc. that weren't included in the actual episodes).
