LJK acting is amazing.. he kinda acted like a little abandoned puppy, when you are about touch them on the head and they look at you and your hand.
They way he turns his face a little away from her touch

If you guys have seen any animal rescue videos where the animal being rescued is a little dog or puppy. 

Of course WS is whimpering or shivering the cold, but the way he acted was amazing!

Now that I've calmed down... slightly... I'm going to be annoying and say that this preview that's now being posted on every single page...  demonstrates superbly what @bebebisous33 and others have been saying about the differences in the two possible couplings. And why Su-So is the OTP despite the momentary distraction from elsewhere.

Here Hae Su is more Ha Jin (to use the categories of our friends). See the confidence in her manner and her eyes. In this she's the "adult" and he's the "child" giving him the assurance. It's the reversal of the garden chat where he was the advisor and she the one who needed pushing and encouragement. This is the dynamic that some have been talking about. So brings out the best in Su because he pushes her either purposefully or because of his "disability". The fact that she can see past his face and into his heart is what will completely undo him. The man is a goner... and there's no turning back for him. He's fallen for her hook, line and sinker (to coin a phrase).

I don't think we realise how radical this is. It's a revolution. Not just for So but for Goryeo. To go beyond the superficial, the appearance, to look deep and find a good thing. It's what he's always wanted from his mother but he could never get it from her. Her rejection of him was complete to the point where even when he tried to cover up her sins, she would not even accept his love offering. His scar is her scar, a festering reminder that her husband did not love her or her offspring enough to stop a wedding during their son's wake.

Hence this all continues the theme of freedom... to be set free from that moment which defined the rest of his life until now... when his face was scarred. It defined him when he was shunned by his family, sent as hostage to Sinju, made a target of local gossip, left to fend for himself, while becoming a creature of violence. But that no longer needs to hold him back... someone has made him feel valued and the shackles have fallen off.

On behalf of the silent lurker out there, we just want to say thank you to @Onur_dem and @wordsmyth0253  for the HAWT and INTIMATE preview and it's subs , it's really made my afternoon screaming like crazy. I think i need to go to mental hospital now.

Hi too..... sure many of us are from Indonesia, and now 3 more hours till ep 8, I'll be watching from One Asia channel  then tomorrow will look for the sbs versions raws to be subbed hehehe... now it's become like a habit to keep checking both versions. I have watched each episode 2-3 times, now I'm so obsessed hahaha..... I've abandoning other dramas because of this LOL

The 4th Prince has never revealed to her how and by whom he was injured, and probably nobody else told her, so Hae Soo would presumably think that it's "simply" a battle scar or something... That's very far from the real story. I'm wondering when and how she'll get to know that his own mother hurt him that cruelly and then sent him away hoping that he'll die by somebody else's hand far from the court's judging eyes...

Sth happened in my real world and I had to be away from dramaland and when back at this thread it has moved 90pgs. I'm never gonna catch up with all the pages cause it's gonna move very fast with the coming Ep in 3hrs+.

I love that WS reaction to HS touch 

- if it's anyone else he wouldn't have let a hand touched his scar

- he let her caressed it quite awhile before he stopped her to ask does she not mind his hideous face n if it was pity

- her answer must really satisfy him and fill that void inside him that has been there ever since his mum inflicted that scar and wound in his heart

- even more awesome he let her hand go to continue as she wish

Just another point I So love Ha jin's occupation as makeup artist. She's really meant to drop from the sky into Goryeo to meet Wang So and the one who can camouflage his scar with makeup

Finally my last point I love that our otp didn't fall in love at first sight. Nothing against that but it's really satisfying to see HS and WS's progress, how their relationship mature, progress and deepen. How each interaction they have slowly but surely carves a deep place into their hearts. Right now we will see how deep HS will be embedded into WS heart. I can't wait to see what elements setting and happening will put WS deeply into HS's heart and how it will only be him and just him who she loves deeply..

me too. I can imagine her giving So a hug and crying for him and ranting how can there be such a mother like that and asking if it's really her mother.  T^T

Me too!! Usually, I watched more dramas but ML has changed my habit!

@40somethingahjumma In this scene, Hae Soo is acting as adviser and therapist. She knows that the scar is a trauma ("pain in your heart" was mentioned in the preview for today). I have also noticed that a lot of characters are suffering from chronic diseases (Crown Prince, lady Oh, Queen Hwangbo) and all are connected to stress. All are suffering but they need to keep the appearances. They are not allowed to express or show their feelings: pain, mental pressure, anxiety which illustrates how poisonous living in the palace can be. Since Wang So with his mask and trauma was constantly put under pressure as he was living as hostage in Shinju, Wang So was too focused on surviving so that he has never developped such chronic disease. Even his own brother Yo is suffering from germaphobia which reinforces the idea that living in the palace is not better than in Shinju.

Another big question for me is: will she ever reveal to him that she comes from the distant future? Probably not, but in that casa I wonder "how can she spend her life with the person she loves and she's so open with, while keeping from him such a big secret?"

Wake means here mourning, offspring means child/here son. @40somethingahjumma meant that the scar is a reminded that her husband wasn't hurt by the loss of his son. He got married, while she was mourning for the death of her son. For her, the scar illustrates how little her son meant to his father, how heartless he was to her and her dead son. For her, he was just greedy and selfish: his situation mattered more than his family.

I think she will imply it and only later on…. he will realise it to be true.  I think 13th prince will play a role in confirming that too if this drama will follow the Chinese version to a tee in the end.

I've seen the vid @KdramaSwimmer. It's lovely isn't it? I know HS isn't in love with WS yet but to see her feeling his scar so gentle like that enough to make a torned soul like WS comeback to being alive under the sun again. I understand why he falls so hard for Soo after this. Enough to take a poison in her stand. 

It's just that.. Oh my poor Wook.  He too wants nothing more than be happy with Soo. 

Why do they make to pushed Soo and her the black goat for poisoning the CP to keep Wook in check though? I don't understand. If anything, that will make him more enraged deep inside.  

There's a cut from the long preview where Wook sit down with a bothered look in a dark robe. He's so handsome but yet so dark it kind of make me thinking what's going trough his head. How I long for that day to come... Hurry up take Soo away, WS!
