Come on there are only 8 episodes left and this is a mess how are they gonna tie u everything the king is not dead yet, the crown prince is still there Wang Yo is still there. Girl is still pinning over sweet talker coward Wook. And heck even the Chae Ryung 9th prince line has not even started yet

I'm pretty sure the ship that the herione boarded is called Titanic so someone please tell our herione to run to the captain and get on the rescue boat with hopes to board the right ship again! If not then tell the captain to take a break from fixing his make-up, drop the BBcream from his hand and forcefully board rescue boat!!

This break my heart. I'm watching for sosoo, what am I going to do now. If the ship that sail is wooksoo. I will cry until new year of 2017 then. Why I start this drama, I thought even tho it's a sad ending the love story between so and soo going to be memorable, satisfying and eternal kind of. But looks like it's just a mere onesided love from a stalker wolf. Should I cry or laugh right now? I need a mental support. I really really need it.

to all who wanna give up on Scarlet Heart, i hope that you all wouldn't just because of today's episode?
this is my opinion of course, but if you really wanna quit, i can't stop you all also,  unless i be like WS? >< hehe.

anyway, i read through all the posts from 873 to here can see that many of us were or still are disappointed by this episode.
so i thought i would try to put myself into Hae Soo's shoes.
if today, i love a man deeply and he is the first person to "rescue" me and "protected" me, i would naturally see him as a comfort zone.

so when this man does something that is disappointing to you, you tend to think that "it's ok, something must have happen" or other excuses to cover up and pretend the relationship can continue, until a breaking point (everybody's tolerance level is different). I think many of us felt that the rain scene should have been a breaking point but it didn't. I am not surprise either because HS would have been probably "cooking" up excuses on WW behalf. & tbh, only we know what Wook did to her (by ganging up with his sister), HS doesn't know. She just thinks there MUST be certain reason for him to walk away. Her relationship with WW is the perfect demonstration of infatuation (which most of us has stated), it's perfect but it does not last.

However, I cannot deny the fact that her heart is moved by So. But the truth is that to her at this point in time, So is not her comfort zone yet and that's why she is choosing to run away (visions etc). But to me HS and So are like best friends becoming old time couple, you really just tell the other party whatever and you are not  "afraid" of hurting each other with raw truths rather than concealment and many of us agree that it would make a much better relationship than YOU KNOW WHO. Her (upcoming) relationship with So reflects marriage, where things are uncertain, but I am willing to commit and spend the rest of my life with you, an everlasting love.

I understand that we don't have much time for So-Soo moment, but in chinese there is a saying which says, doesn't matter how long we have been together, what matters is that we have been together before. I choose to believe that whatever remaining episodes of So-Soo moments would be dynamic, aggressive and even more heart wrenching but they would be a couple that will never be easily forgotten. Although who knows, maybe HS herself will regret for having such little time with So.  Therefore, if you can, give the drama and the actors another chance to deliver.

I mean, we would all agree that not all K-dramas can evoke such emotions, (confusion, what's happening next, anger, hatred, frustration, happy, otp, etc at the same time)

Yeon Hwa is not Wang So's ideal match. Let's review the situation shall we?

• She turned away from him after the unmasking.. she could barely look upon his real face with anything other than disgust. He will NEVER feel comfortable enough around her to let her see his real face again. She will never be able to look upon his scars with kindness.
• Good characteristics? You'll have to dig deep for those. This is the woman who masterminded the poison plot. From her actions, we can tell that she is without scruples, ruthless and ambitious to the detriment of those in her way. This is a woman who fights dirty. Not a very attractive attribute.
• Let's not confuse our admiration for the actress for the character she plays. Yeon Hwa is selfish and cruel. As evidenced by her whipping of Hae Soo and her maid. This is not ideal Queen material. She's on a par with Queen Yoo. I would pity rather than celebrate the man she ends up with.

 

In saying all that, I can't change history no matter how much I would love to. But that doesn't mean I will actively encourage their match. Surely to goodness you can see all this and that comment was merely meant in jest? I get that your angry with Hae Soo at the moment, but that doesn't just mean you can just start shipping Wang So with anyone that throws a few crumbs his way.

I almost forget about chaeryung and the 9th prince lol. I'm fed up with all haesoo-wook scenes till I forget that we still have 1 more couple. Calm down, dear  let's watch this till the end and put our faith in Lee Jun Ki.

WookSo is not the end game. I am sure.  Once the bracelet is returned is done! The end of them.

I'm a Hae Soo sympathizer (disclaimer I am also IU biased). Maybe it's cause I can relate to the heroine more. Every other character has some kind of flow in this world, while the heroine is transported and displaced. 

Many are upset about why she is still hung over Wook, since it has been a year. But the way I see it, it was a year without closure with someone she trusted and planned to spend the rest of her life with. She has no idea about any of the factors that made him walk away from her, and I think at this point she doesn't care whether they end up together or not. Her feelings still lingers for Wook, but she no longer places any hopes or ambition on a future together.

Even though being a laundry maid is a tough job. I'm glad that she has a year of peace and quiet of not having to care or worry about anyone. Of course she is also using this time grieving and blaming herself for her mentor's death..and seems like a shell of a person..which is unfortunate, but understandable. I really think although she cares for many in the palace, she'd rather not care and be away from the scary palace. So now she is trying her best to delude herself about not caring.

Being around So is when I see Hae Soo present the most. He just pulls her caring side out, no matter how much she wants to hide it and push him away. Her caring for him surpasses any fear that she ever had for him. He is someone she can be the most honest around, but now she is trying to close herself off and be away from people. Her heart is pretty beat and I don't think she wants to open her heart right now, but she knows that So is definitely is a threat to her heart's defenses *Swoon~ being overly cheesy and romantic. Hae Soo feels that she has to be super harsh with So, because he is so persistent = a recipe for our frustration----So's persistence makes our hearts melt, while Hae Soo's harshness makes us defensive of So because we know how strong and unchanging his feelings for Soo are. But what can you do if the girl is determined not to love. 

I really want to hear the whole conversation Hae Soo has with the king!! He said that if she cannot handle the palace, she can't handle anywhere else??? I saw that in a translation someone did and was intrigued. Is the king manipulating Hae Soo, to keep So in the palace? Does he see her as a strong force to support So, or just a pawn to keep So. That would influence my opinion on whether I feel she should run away or stay.

I feel the same!! Even though I'm dying for a happy ending, when I found out there's a possibility of a sad ending I continued watching for So-Soo!!!

Ws being rejected is getting a bit repetitive. The waist grab as well. Stop with the push-push and give them tiny bit more intelligent scenes please.

I guess I'm in the minority but I kinda liked today's episode. There were huge revelations which opened Hs's eyes for good. Haesoo, all this time thought that Wang So would be the one to go all savage and kill everyone to grab power but no, it was the king who was in reality preparing him to take his place. Poor boy just wants to leave and live his life with his loved one, sigh.. Hs will see Wook changing showing his colours in the next episode and that'll be the final nail in the coffin for that relationship. 

The scene where Hs hears sounds of the swords clashing and dying people's screams in the middle of the empty palace yard.. ghosts of the past (or future).. gave me goosebumps.

Yep, agreed. In last week's episode, she regretted even wanting to live if it meant somebody dying for her. But in today's episode she shouted to WS she was barely trying to survive and I believe she's only masking her true intention. Hs had lots of time to think of where her actions took her and everyone around her, thus all ties to whomever she cares for must be severed. She has to act mean with Ws, because Ws is very stubborn and wears his heart on his sleeve (unlike Wook) and Hs knows him exceedingly well. The best thing for me is that Ws also perceives how Hs's mind works and is aware she doesn't act this way because she's indifferent to him. At this point, theirs is the strongest built relationship in the whole show.

What a slimey wuss Wook was this week! Gurl, last week I could understand where he was coming from but dang, your sister is the cause of Hs's demotion and you're spitting on Ws. Seriously. I have not a bit of compassion for him from this day on.

I actually think we're all shipping the wrong couple. I'm not talking about Wook-Soo but Old HaeSoo (GoHaJin) - WangSo VS New HaeSoo - WangSo.

The new HaeSoo is completely different and whatever hopes i had of seeing the old are destroyed for good. Old HaeSoo is the one of WangSo, not this one. WangSo deserves the old HaeSoo.. He deserves GoHaJin.

question guys one of you pointed out that director said this version will be sadder? as of course we know HS dies then WS dies and so forth?? but will they meet in the future and perhaps have happy ending there??

Wow... it's like firestorm in here... at least we can't say this drama doesn't affect us emotionally.

As much as I wanted OTP moments, I really wasn't expecting much.  I'm happy with the three WS scenes I got.   As long as WS (and even WW) keep chasing after HS, I'm still here.  Heck.... let's even throw the 14th Prince in the ring because it was obvious he's concerned about her too.  I guess I've watched enough Asian dramas in my lifetime where the OTP wasn't the end game (Baker King and Emperor of the Sea instantly comes to mind...). Therefore, I've grown to enjoy the chase / competition rather than an OTP's union.

Actually, what really makes me leave a drama is when it gets too political on me... (we have enough of that going on in America right now ) !  I could really care less about the king, queens, and all the scheming.  I know the fight for the throne is coming up, but I hope they don't drag it out... That's why I loved the first half of the drama because it focused more on HS building relationships with the princes and not too much on the political factor.

Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo Episode 13 Preview

The show should seriously consider a change of title - The Doomed Lovers or The Devastated, Deplateda and Depressed Lovers.

“You’ve changed.” - Hae Soo to Wook

The thing is that Wook DID NOT CHANGE AT ALL, Hae Soo was only blind to see it, his true self, because he has been hiding it from her the whole time. She should have simply taken a hint when it turned out he loved and wanted both her and her cousin - if she ran a way from him then, none of this would have ever happened.

It looks like episode 13 will be the moment of the ultimate fallout between HS and Wook (FINALLY, I needed this like 4 episodes ago!). And yet again, when the situation turns dire THE MAN SHE RUNS TO FOR HELP IS WANG SO - THE MAN WHOM SHE TRULY TRUSTS.

It’s his hand she is holding. The king is dying and HS’s word will clearly inspire So to take the throne for himself. She’s meddling with history again - didn’t both JM and the King tell her to leave the things take their natural course?

THE BATTLE OF THE (HALF-)BROTHERS! I knew Wook was a richard simmons, but now he is downright stupid, going against the legendary Wolf Dog himself! His knife-throwing skills won’t help him there!

Though, there is one scene that doesn’t quite add up - WS riding on a horse with Wook clearly riding with him.
