Korean Man Blackmails High School Girl to Sign Sex Slave Contract

Recommended Posts

A year in jail for trying to force a minor into sex slavery for stealing a tube of lipstick??!! This guy must know some people in very high places...

The age of consent in Korea is 13, if she was in highschool, I dont think she was a minor.

Let me sum up what the young lady may have had to go through:
1/ Tell her parents that she shoplifted, hence she had to deal with their wrath/disappointment,
2/ Tarnish a man's respectability by revealing his despicable blackmail,
3/ Hoping that her parents would believe her, side with her and take action to put an end to the situation
4/ Go to the police to report the crime
5/ Potentially face the criticism and shaming of neighbors/schoolmates/relatives
6/ Maybe testify in court (I'm not familiar with the minimum legal age in South Korean Law)
That's one heck of a difficult road, yet the perpetrator was convicted. Justice has (somehow) been served, although the penalty seems light. After all, he'll be out in 12 months only. Will this lady still be in the same neighborhood?

So, would that be the Korean thirteen which is actually twelve? By the way, there were several crimes committed by this guy. I hardly think that it matters whether or not she is considered an "adult" in Korea. Blackmail, extortion, attempted felony, etc. Age of consent has nothing with it. There was no consent here.

Disgusting. I feel bad for the girl--there is NO WAY you can say this was consensual... the man was blackmailing her, *and* was in a position of power (legal adult, had more money, etc etc). Low age of consent or not, /this was not consensual/ and I'm disappointed he's only getting a single year in jail.

Now I'm pissed off at this guy.... I sincerely hope no one on this website is like that.

What..!? Just a year!? And he's done this before..smh. The audacity of this man, he must have gotten pretty brazen thinking he could get away with it tsk. A repeat offender even, at that. The girl on the other is no better either. Come on, shoplifting a $6 lip tint, seriously!?

The guy has no respectability to tarnish!

Until proven otherwise, every human being, especially in SK, is entitled to respectability. So from an outsider's point of view, the suspect was a hard-working decent store owner, which was the point of my statement. A former convict having completed his/her sentence has paid for his/her crime and entitled to innocence again. Theoretically. Practically, well that's another story.

Have a good daaaaaaaaaaay! :)

....I feel like this can lead to 13year olds and older girls and boys being taken advantage of.

I think its 13 international age, so 14-15 in Korean age. and I'm not talking about actual consent, of course this guy is a monster, I'm just clarifying to those who think she was a minor, that also clarifies why he got such little time in jail.
