August 23, 1970) in a short period rose to become one of the more versatile and popular actors in Korean cinema. After working for a time on TV (his debut was the MBC drama Love of Two Women), he launched his film career with the romantic comedy Art Museum by the Zoo opposite superstar Shim Eun-ha. The success of this movie gave him considerable attention and led to him being offered many more roles. After starring in Ghost in Love opposite Kim Hee-sun, Lee played the leader of a small group of thugs in one of the biggest box-office hits in recent years, the smash comedy Attack the Gas Station. Shortly thereafter he took a role in a very different kind of film, the accomplished black comedy Barking Dogs Never Bite, which competed at the San Sebastian Film Festival in late 2000. In 2001, Lee acted in A Day, a drama about a young married couple who wish to have a baby; and the wildly popular comedy Kick the Moon by Kim Sang-jin, director of Attack the Gas Station. He also had a major role in Public Enemy, a hugely successful film by hit director and Cinema Service founder Kang Woo-suk. In 2004 Lee portrayed a mountain climber in the big-budget adventure/melodrama Ice Rain, which was shot in the Canadian Rockies. He also starred in the directorial debut of Park Jeong-woo, who wrote the screenplay for many of the recent films by Kim Sang-jin.

Guest a4sano
I saw his movie Holiday. When I watching behind the scenes I saw that he showed a lot of work ethic. Therefore I've seen about almost all of his films. He's become one of my favorite actors since he really works hard when acting.
Guest inez
Oh cool his thread finally!! Like him the most in 'Public Enemy'..a real villain yet so darn sexy and 'Ice Rain'...would love to have an affair with a teacher/professor like him too.. ..Unfortunately there's so little of him in 'Daisy'.. And yes he dance gracefully in 'Dance With The Winds'..amidst the beautiful fireworks in the end...aish... ..oh i saw most of his movies too.. Guest Romita
I'm so happy that Lee Sung Jae has his own thread. I have been a fan of his for a couple of years now. I have seen almost all of his films. His growth as an actor is quite noticable from 'Attack' to 'Holiday.' I thought he was simply amazing in 'Holiday' and sexy as hell in 'Ice Rain.' I did watch the first first episode of his new drama 'Stranger Than Heaven' and was impressed with his skills. On another note, he has become so ripped! OMG! :sweatingbullets:
Guest renni72
He looked so different in Stranger than Heaven that I have a difficult time recognising him. I realised that I have watched him in quite a number of his movies...and yet he seemed to look so different in every one. Versatile actor!

Guest oink
Stranger Than Heaven Fanmade MV I just recently watched this drama after so impressed with Lee Sung Jae in Lawyers Of Korea. However, I don't really like it. In my opinion, the cast is great but it is not supported with a good script. Also, Lee Sung Jae looks much more better in Lawyers Of Korean than in here. But I love the OST though..that's why I made one MV for this...Enjoy! MV Stranger Than Heaven Song : The OST “Stranger Than Heaven - NEXT” Clips : Main Cast’s scenes from K-Drama “Stranger Than Heaven” (SBS-2006)
K-joy
Yeah, thanks for this thread. LSJ is my fav k-actor (along with Lee Byung-hun). I have seen/enjoyed almost all of his dramas and movies except the Mafia movie (not available in dvd in my region). He was great in "Lawyers" and "Public Enemy". I have been eagerly waiting for "On the Pitch" to come out on dvd region1. What I like about his acting are its simplicity, sincerity and versatility. He should have won an ward for "Lawyers". He practically carried that drama. I wish he'd get more projects. Too bad, the Korean movie industry is very competitive. There are just too many good actors...and very good looking ones at that. I wish him good health and continued success.
