soomp Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Hmm... I agree there's a limit in terms of the level of intimacy. Of course girls & guys can be friends on a casual level, but once you start sharing deep matters of the heart, it's very difficult for one side or the other not to develop SOME feelings for the other person, even if they'd never act on it. This is just the opinion of one person :D
Teleri Nyfain Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 Yeah - whatever. Cause men are aliens & women have unfathomable brains. or some such nonsenses. I like the man as an actor but so sorry, he's spouting nonsense. Now I will go so far as to say the men & women who really ARE just friends won't sometimes look at each other sexually (whether they do a thing about it or not) - but that's a far cry from basing their acquaintance on sex.I say this because people do NOT always think about sex - so sorry. I am friends with several men - one of which has been my friend for 20+ YEARS. It most certainly is possible.

This is just the opinion of one person :D Developing 'feelings'? Sure! Of course! but not SEXUAL ones necessarily! There are people that one cares about a lot where it never would OCCUR to one to have any kind of romantic attachment - it is soooo sad that some people are so scared of sex & the opposite sex that they can't even try to have a friendship!
ceecile Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 That's such a close-minded way of thinking. For one that's assuming everyone is straight. Then what about me? I'm bi so does that mean I can't have friends at all?? The real world isn't like it is in the books or movies where one best friend is always in love with the other.
B-NA Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 These days... the content of similar subject articles on the few different kpop gossip news site are getting ridiculously different. On AKP article he even picked Song Ji Hyo as a girl that is just a close friend and nothing beyond that. Now soompi is saying he doesn't believe in such relationship. WTH
mary-ann Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 wtf, the articles from soompi and allkpop contradict eachother, in allkpop he names song ji hyo as one of his female friends, and here he says he doesn't believe in female-male relationships
weirdnshort Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I have lots of guy friends. I work in a male dominated field... unless i want to be a loner, made guy friends. I didnt have any male friends back when i was in school so it was a change.
Guest novadestin Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Unless you can't control your sex drive and/or you're a straight demisexual, then you can totally have friends of the opposite sex. Men and women aren't (generally) that different. Also, there is a big difference between finding someone attractive and wanting to actively sleep with/engage in a relationship with them.
