From my experiences, it's not so much that she has had surgery. People don't really care. It is that often times in cases like these where the surgery is so apparent, the celebrities continue to deny having had surgery. People find it frustrating.

It's one thing to get surgery and say that 'Yes I got it', but it's another thing entirely to 'obviously' get plastic surgery and then flat out deny it.
I don't think people really care all that much about if an /idol/ has gotten a procedure recently, but they just care about the idol saying if it's true or not.
People just want some transparency, long story short.

they don't owe anyone any transparency? and honestly it's not JUST about transparency. with the way people attack idols, especially female ones, who have admitted to, or been suspected of, plastic surgery i'm not at all surprised that they sometimes lie.

if they don't want to say they had plastic surgery they don't have to. if they feel scared of reactions and lie that's their choice bc people can be vicious and nasty.

if people weren't so hyper focused on it and didn't care perhaps idols would also be more casual about talking about it but that's not the case. plastic surgery, for all it's popularity, is still extremely stigmatized. thus, idols hide it or outright lie about it.

I think it is very common in Korea and their plastic surgery is so popular in the world, just as popular as K-pop and K-drama.
