I am having trouble changing my avatar/profile picture, every time I uploaded a new picture it always crashed or the photo appeared broken. What should I do?

Hello! I posted about this in the news forum, but it's been reported and will hopefully be fixed in the next couple days. I believe it occurred at the most recent software update :x

If you have a Gravatar, you can use that for now. Sorry for the inconvenience!

is there a role as to enabling gif-animated image to work as profile pic? i tried uploading the gif with the prescribed size limit and was successfully accepted but it only displayed the first pic but not animated...

would have like to use this one:

I am having a problem which I don't understand why. I want to change my avatar on all over Soompi. Which means in the forums and the comments in Home or News Section. However my avatar is ok for the forums but not in the comments. In the comments I see a generic avatar. I totally blame for Disqus as I was unable to login to Soompi on Iphone but somehow got a Disqus profile. I am really frustrated on this.

You need to have logged out from the comment section in the News site etc in order for the your forum avatar to take effect. Give it a few minutes and it should work for you. It takes time to update, but you should see your avatar has changed from the generic one to one of your choosing in your profile.

Thanks but I have been trying this for like days. I have tried logging out in everywhere but it doesn't change. The only option I can think is to delete the account. I don't know when I say edit profile in the comments I still go to a Disqus section showing that photo and omething like this. I will go crazy.

Have you tried logging out of Disqus? Also tried logging out from your name in the comment section?

 

 

 

Your profile should look like this after you log back in with your forum avatar displayed... then you just have to wait for it to update in the comments section.

If that still doesn't work then the soompi account and disqus may be out of sync. I'll raise a support ticket.

Yes I have also tried logging out in Disqus. Nothing works for me. I had 2 Disqus accounts somehow I have deleted one. But this doesn't work.

Have you tried deleting your cookies and cache? 

Your main soompi account automatically sets up a disqus account. So when you log out of Disqus and Soompi, your logging out simultaneously. Has your picture updated yet?
