Newsie
Few Korean dramas have become as big of a hit as the 2007 romantic comedy “Coffee Prince.” Starring actress Yoon Eun Hye, the drama tells the story of a young girl who dresses as a man in order to get a job. What follows, of course, is a lot of laughter, some drama, and a whole lot of […]The post The Cast of Coffee Prince: Where Are They Now? appeared first on Soompi.View the full article
Denali
The mere mention of this drama usually has myriads of fans swooning all over again over Gong Yoo's smexiness and his thru-the-roof chemistry with Yoon Eun Hye. As for me, it brings a hint of nostalgia at the thought of Lee Eon's tragic accident. Likewise with "On Air" and dearly missed Park Yong-Ha. Their chemistry was incredible and he was just perfect in that role. I really like him in his newer roles as well, but will always remember him fondly in this drama. And you're right, it's definitely bittersweet thinking back on the drama and realizing that Lee Eon has since passed away. So tragic to have one's life cut short so unexpectedly! I haven't seen "On Air" actually but remember when the news broke of his death as well. So sad!!! TT

His character in this 2005 drama is by far my most favorite of his. That's how I want to remember him, especially after being told that his real persona is far from likeable. UUThe passing of Park Yong Ha was heartbreaking, and witnessing So Ji Sub cry his heart out was so hard to bear. If you ever come across one of PYH's role or song, just brace yourself. He was so talented and yet overwhelmed with too many burdens. There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven - a time to weep and a time to laugh. One knows not what tomorrow will bring. Lee Eon died right after filming for the drama Mighty Chilwoo finished - it starred Eric Moon.Thank you for the clarification. purplepanda
This was so interesting! I just watched Coffee Prince for the first time earlier this year and loved it, so it's really neat to read an update on everyone--it's especially cool to read that you can go to the same coffee shop where they filmed the drama! I remember being shocked when I first read about Lee Eon's tragic death. Such a sad loss.I hope this "Where are they now?" becomes a regular feature for dramas & singers! I'd love an update on the cast of "Spring Waltz"--that's where I first saw Daniel Henney, swoon! ;)

I actually haven't seen that drama either. I absolutely ADORE Gong Hyo Jin though and have been working my way through her filmography. lol I think she is so amazing, talented and very versatile. So I'm sure I will make my way to that drama as well, if I can find it online. And really? I haven't heard that about Gong Yoo either. As s matter of fact, I've heard he is very polite and nice. So perhaps that rumor is wrong or someone just caught him on a bad day? ^^ I will still imagine him to be very kind and polite though. hehe I do respect him a lot because he has done an immense amount of charity work and good deeds.I will have to check out more of Park Yong Ha's roles. Although I do find it very sad to watch actors and actresses when I know they have already passed away. It's just so tragic to see them onscreen, so full of life and passion, then to realize they are no longer here. We truly are not guaranteed a single day. That's why we ought to live life to the fullest and have our hearts and souls prepared to meet death when it comes, able to go with no regrets. Depending on the viewer's response, we might make it a regular feature. Or at least semi-regular. ^^ I am very open to suggestions about who I should feature- whether it's a cast of a drama, a music group, or even just a specific singer or actor. So, I will definitely keep "Spring Waltz" in mind! Thanks!! ^^

I will just continue to imagine him as the nice, charitable, polite guy I thought he was. hehe You never know truly... some people are nice but just get bad reputations because they get a bit rude with paparazzi. I understand though and wouldn't like the media following me all the time either.... and not giving me any privacy at all! Then, there are others you THINK are nice, but turns out they just have everyone fooled and are actually rude or arrogant! hehe You never know in show business! lol We only see a small part of them and can't possibly know what they are like in real life. But their honey lemon tea was awesome and nice and warm since its winter during that time.. My suggestion if you want to go there just prepared the owner unfriendly gesture.. the rest esp the coffee prince i mean the waiter.. is totally good! The cafe looks exactly the same except i didnt go upstair.. the coffee and tea nice! All good except the owner
Guest Ming Banger
I've never seen Coffee Prince from beginning to end. It's been on my bucket list for some time because I'm a fan of Kim Jae Wook. I loved him in Antique Bakery with Joo Ji Hoon and Yoo Ah In. I saw Silenced. It was very difficult to watch knowing that it was true.
