Guest perempuan_desa Posted September 11, 2015 (edited) Yoon Kyun Sang Gets His Media Spotlight Post Pinocchio SuccessI wish K-ent had more talented actors like Yoon Kyun Sang these days. Tall, strapping, manly actors who command the screen even in a small role, elevating limited screen time into an unforgettable performance. It’s not that he is in possession of extraordinary acting prowess per se, akin to method acting gods such as Kim Myung Min, but he has in his arsenal a potent connection with the camera paired with very substantial screen presence with his towering height and build. I know there are plenty of shorter and/or slighter leading men out there, especially with the flower boy craze these last few years, which is why he’s an outlier in the pool and one I greatly appreciate having around. Now the watch is on to see whether the huge uptick in popularity and good reviews he’s gotten from Pinocchio will be followed with acting offers in projects that don’t suck. I would rather he do supporting roles a bit longer than to jump at the first leading man role in a whatever project. It used to be hard finding good promo stills for him since he had so few projects under his belt but thanks to Pinocchio he’s done every major media outlet post-drama interview so nosh to your heart’s content on all the Yoon Kyun Sang stills below.Source: http://koalasplayground.com/2015/02/28/yoon-kyun-sang-gets-his-media-spotlight-post-pinocchio-success/ More photos.... Guest perempuan_desa Posted September 11, 2015 The newest stills of the bunch feature Yoon Kyun-sang, directly above and below, playing the part of warrior Mu-hyul, who later becomes Joseon’s foremost swordsman and head of the king’s guard. This is the character played in his later years by Jo Jin-woong in Tree With Deep Roots, who by then was guarding King Sejong; in Six Flying Dragons, he’ll be serving Sejong’s father, Taejong (played by Yoo Ah-in).This drama isn’t officially a sequel (or prequel, rather) to Tree, but since it’s being produced by the same people, I think we can expect a certain amount of character continuity between the shows. It’s not something we often get in dramaland (inasmuch as we hardly ever get sequels and spinoffs at all), but it should add a layer of satisfaction for those who’ve seen both.http://www.dramabeans.com/2015/09/four-flying-dragons-down-two-left-to-go/

moonkittey 2,433 Posted January 8, 2016 Magazine Monday – Yoon Kyun Sang January 4, 2016 by muchadoboutlove 4 Comments Crowned as one of the rising stars after his performance in 2014 drama Pinocchio, Yoon Kyun-sang’s name has been a popular key term search thanks to his portrayal of Warrior Moo-hyul in the currently airing sageuk Six Flying Dragons. It will take a lot of effort not to like the earnest but a bit dense Moo-hyul in the series, but the actor himself is one adorable man behind the camera, as proven through his selcas on his personal Instagram account. He had a number of pictorials last year but I’m sure we will get more this year Pinocchio was actually the actor’s second drama, the first one being Faith, where he acted as one of Choi Young’s Woodalchi soldiers, Deok Man. You might have noticed him since his character had some scenes with Lee Min-ho’s Choi Young He shot into fame after his scene-stealing role as Lee Jong-suk’s brother in Pinocchio, and I think they do resemble each other a bit, judging from his pictorial with bnt last March. Spoiler Spoiler He also starred in the weekend drama The Time I Loved You as Ha Ji-won’s pianist ex-boyfriend before he joined Six Flying Dragons’ cast. His photo shoot with InStyle back in October captured the autumn feel (which reminded me of The Time I Loved You‘s poster) and Yoon Kyun-sang was literally shining in these shots. Spoiler InStyle also gathered the rising stars including Yoon Kyun-sang for its January 2015 edition, but there was only one picture of him… I’m a tad disappointed that there were only a few of shots released by The Celebrity for his pictorial in October 2015, because I really like the colour! Well, I ought to be thankful that they still gave us some goodies, which is definitely better than none.. Spoiler His Singles pictorial for the magazine’s November edition showed another side of him in the dark club setting. They were definitely going for the mysterious but smoldering look for him,and I have no complaint. At all. Spoiler His latest photo shoot was with Esquire last month…and doesn’t he look like a handsome senior you usually see in college? Okay, please ignore me (I’m pretty much a goner ^^;) but I love how warm he looks in the photos although it was almost winter when they shot the pictorial. moonkittey 2,433 Posted February 17, 2016 December 2015 Esquire interview Actor Yoon Kyun San debuted in the drama “Faith” in 2012, but it was the role of Ki Jae Myung in “Pinocchio” that made his face known. In this drama, the character of Ki Jae Myung was good and evil because he ruthlessly brought a punishment turning him into a murderer for a father who had gotten wrongly accused and died but he turned into the nicest older brother in the world in front of his only one little brother whom he cared more about than himself. moonkittey 2,433 Posted March 21, 2016 Yoon Kyun-sang up for SBS drama Doctors by girlfriday | March 21, 2016 | 31 Comments Spoiler Is Yoon Kyun-sang just going to take up permanent residence at SBS? All four of the dramas he’s been in including his debut have been at the network — Faith, Pinocchio, The Time I’ve Loved You, and the currently-airing Six Flying Dragons, where he’s kicking richard simmons and taking names. Now he’s in talks to take on his fifth show at SBS, the medical drama Doctors that’s currently courting Pinocchio co-star Park Shin-hye to headline. The new series is about a young woman who starts out as a gangster in her youth and works her way up an unfair social hierarchy at a hospital to become a neurosurgeon. Park Shin-hye is in talks to play the heroine, a bold character who’s obstinate and has to overcome her distrust of other people. She carries some scars that darkened her outgoing personality and turned her into someone who doesn’t want relationships of any kind. Kim Rae-won (Punch) has been offered the leading role opposite her, a neurosurgery specialist with an affable, trustworthy image who’s a staunch realist. And Lee Sung-kyung (Cheese in the Trap) is up for the role of the heroine’s high school classmate and rival in the neurosurgery department. She’s from a wealthy doctor family and is hung up on getting her first love stolen from her. Yoon Kyun-sang is considering the part of a chaebol heir neurosurgeon. The character is the eldest son of one of the country’s leading conglomerate families, but in order to free himself from his father’s expectations for him to take over the company, he becomes a doctor. Gee, a brain surgeon, what a huge disappointment to daddy dearest. He dreams of a carefree life and of a love like a roller coaster, and will fall for the peculiar gangster-turned-doctor heroine who enters his life like Fate. Yoon Kyun-sang is in contract negotiations, so it seems likely that he’ll sign on. He and Park Shin-hye didn’t share many scenes in Pinochcio (he played Lee Jong-seok’s older brother), but they’d probably be really adorable together in a romance. Even if it ends up being one-sided. I think? Doctors is scheduled to follow Jackpot on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning in June. Via Asia Today CR. Dramabeans

moonkittey 2,433 Posted May 27, 2016 Yoon Kyun Sang and Lee Jong Seok in Adorable Goofing Around Pictures from Pinocchio Days Posted on May 22, 2016 by ockoala I recently came across never seen before behind-the-scenes stills from the 2014-2015 K-drama Pinocchio, still one of my favorite K-dramas in recent years, and felt compelled to share for those like-minded folks. These pics feature male lead Lee Jong Seok goofing around with supporting actor Yoon Kyun Sang, with the former remaining super popular even after Pinocchio while the latter went from unknown to established second male lead territory. They played brothers in the drama and it’s a bromance that was memorable even beyond the slew of beloved drama bromaces over the ages. The conflict and angst was real and their affection chemistry was off-the-charts. Even though Lee Jong Seok was the bigger name actor, Yoon Kyun Sang sold his big brotherly aura perfectly. Up next for Lee Jong Seok is the MBC drama W while Yoon Kyun Sang continues his SBS collaboration with upcoming drama Doctors.
