Soompi Forums Help

Question

Hi everyone,

To the people who do indeed write their own fanfiction on here and are able to post it up, can you tell me how I would be able to make a "second" page button?

It's weird, because I have tried posting up my own fanfiction story, and everytime I did that, the page just keeps extending. Like it's a really LONGGGG page. And so I don't know if it's the way I formatted my wording or if I am posting the forum on the wrong page, but the story doesn't continue with a page 2 and it makes the entire page really slow because the page just keeps extending.

Please help or reply! :(

I assume you try to post a new post after your first post? It might be that they're simply merged as that's a forum-wide setting for Soompi. It means that if I hit "Submit Reply" below this window and post a new post, the old and the new are merged into one post.

It has it's benefits, though in your case it might be a problem. You might try to post a new post below your first post a few hours or a day later. I don´t know if it´s bound by time. If so, that should solve your problem. If that doesn´t solve it, someone else might need to post anything before you´re able to post a new post below the old one.

I´ve not been able to find a setting that stops posts from merging, unfortunately.

It takes a bit of time, but if you wait, you should be able to post a second post below your first post. I just don't know (yet) how much time there needs to be between both posts. Might also be possible that you need to visit a different topic or leave your current topic before you're able to post a second post. Will try that now to narrow things down for you :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (I created this neat, straight line ! \o/)

Went to the general subforum to see if that works. Hopefully this will not merge with my first post. If it does, it's most likely a time thing. Just don't know how long though.

I see, thank you! :)
