no guideline given by Korean.    However, as it is in softcopy (JPG format),  they should be able to re-size it to fit their photo book.  

As they are doing a photo book, i believe there will  be many Siso photos in it.   Hence i suggest to write a message for them instead of a picture collage.   (please refer to my sample photo).    You can write well, so don't waste your talent !

I'm glad that he has learnt some good points from So Yeon. Actually, 'she is very attractive' - is that a question or was that said by Si Yang? Given Si Yang's reserved nature, it's good that So Yeon managed to break down a bit of his barrier and he can feel more comfortable with her too. So Yeon, for all her aegyo, matches well with Si Yang's direct and meticulous nature (the ramen is not nice; bland. *Ouch*!) She will soften his nature while he will lead her to a safe haven. Isn't that awesome?

Q. As a rookie actor you led the drama as the male lead. Wasn’t it hard to film a daily drama?

Si Yang: It’s a lie to say that there wasn’t any burden. There were hidden pressures and then pressures about the ratings. Since it’s my first time on a long project, would I be able to lead well; as the lead, would I be able to match well with the other actors; I may be busy now, what should I do; I had such worries like that.

 

When I was nervous, the senior actors would tell me that it was alright a couple of times, giving me a lot of courage.

 

Q. What do you think the charms of a daily drama are?

Si Yang: Because we’re together for a long time, our friendship thickens and you even become close with the staff. It’s the feeling of being made up of one team.

 

Q. Since it’s a long project, I would think that there would be a lot of funny things that happened. Were there any episodes on site?

Si Yang: Because the atmosphere on set was so good, then maybe the episodes of the other actors making faces and laughing when others are filming scenes.

 

Q. How was Choi Yoon Young? What was the atmosphere on set like?

Si Yang: I really liked it, but I don’t know what it was like for Choi Yoon Young-ssi. (Laughs) It’s the feeling of receiving everything. The feeling of receiving no matter what I did and it seems like we were able to match well when we were running our lines.

 

Q. You received a lot of attention during ‘Oh My Ghostess’ as a ‘YoSekNam.’ Since then, did you feel as though the interest in you has amplified?

Si Yang: I felt it when we were filming the last episode of ‘Oh My Ghostess.’ It was the same with ‘All is Well.’ I had a filming at the main intersection of Hongdae and since a lot of people knew me, it was hard to film. So in the end, we had to move to a different location to film. At that time it was the feeling of wondering ‘Why me?’

 

Q. For ‘Perseverance Goo Hae Ra’ you beat the competition, 1 to 10,000. Is that the truth? It seems as though the remaining feelings would be different.

Si Yang: I also don’t know. It was said that a lot of people had auditioned for that character. I don’t know about that, though. But I thought ‘I must do it, there won’t be a lot.’ I found out that there were a lot of people who auditioned at the press conference. It seemed like the director really liked seeing the side of me that continued to challenge. I auditioned about 4-5 times just for that role. Although it was awkward, it must’ve been good that I prepared a lot of things.

 

Q. You had done activities under the name Han Sun Woo. What was the reason for changing your name and coming out anew?

Si Yang: When I entered the company the representative personally gave me the name of Kwak Si Yang. Si Yang means the time the sun rises. My real name is Kwak Myung Jin. The name Kwak Si Yang is really good.

 

Q. You made your debut at the late age of 28. There would’ve been some frustrating moments.

Si Yang: There weren’t any frustrations. Before that, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. When being an actor was what I thought I definitely should do and took my heart, starting then, I clearly thought ‘So this was my path.’

 

Q. Was there something that spurred your dream of being an actor?

Si Yang: I enjoyably watched dramas in the army. Among them it was either ‘Secret Garden’ or ‘The Greatest Love’ that I thought was really fun. So I thought ‘I want to play like that in front of the camera’ and it seemed like something comfortable and fun. When I thought that I should do it, it sincerely took my heart. I went to the army when I was 24 and discharged when I was 26 and it was then that I began to steadily audition.

 

Q. Were there any slumps? How did you overcome them? Your method was?

Si Yang: Since it’s like a roller coaster for everyone, what would there be. Rather than being frustrated, it was a continuous challenge to me. If I couldn’t, I would think of what the reason would be and work in a manner that compliments the reason.

 

Q. In ‘We Got Married’ you renewed your contract with Kim So Yeon. What was your feeling at the time? The contact would’ve been canceled if one person had refused.

Si Yang: I thought I was going to cry. I thought that it would have been a regret to just end things like that and believed that she would come. So I even prepared and bought bracelets, that’s why I was late to arrive.

 

Q. Your skinship with Kim So Yeon is different from the beginning. It would seem as though you two tried to get close.

Si Yang: There aren’t any different efforts. Because time has been flowing by naturally we’ve become closer. Although we looked a bit awkward when we faced each other for the first time, as time passes, we’ve been getting along comfortably and well.

 

Q. You said that you often privately contact Kim So Yeon. Does it mostly consist of support?

Si Yang: I’ll say something since I monitor the broadcast, something along the lines of ‘I’m monitoring today’s broadcast.’ And since a lot of our schedules overlap, I’ll contact her saying ‘Where are you let’s eat together.’

 

Q. There are a lot of scenes of the ‘We Got Married’ panelists being jealous of the Kwak Si Yang and Kim So Yeon couple.

Si Yang: I’m grateful. Our couple is sparking jealousy like that. DinDin calls me ‘my hyung’ and I like that we’re like a family where we can approach each other and be friendly.

Q. In ‘We Got Married,’ you did a lot of small events for Kim So Yeon.

Si Yang: I should have an event company. (Laughs) I thought about each one of them as if I were a married person, in some way like ‘Should I propose,’ ‘Could I do an event.’ In order for me to do it I talked with the crew.

 

Q. What is your actual ideal type like?

Si Yang: A woman who is attractive when she laughs. A woman who can communicate well. No matter what, someone who can match me well and be the most comfortable person.

 

Q. In ‘We Got Married,’ besides the Kim So Yeon and Kwak Si Yang couple, from the two remaining couples, which couple are you the most envious of? What’s your reason?

Si Yang: I like our couple the best. (Laughs) There’s no reason, it just seems good.

 

Q. In ‘Radio Star,’ you danced to H.O.T, which you danced during your audition and it’s become a hot topic. Did you see the broadcast?

Si Yang: Of course I saw it. I was satisfied. The reason is because I know very well that I can’t dance. It’s because I didn’t even practice and just worked hard so that the others wouldn’t ask me to do it again. So I was very pleased about not coming out to dance again.

 

Q. Currently, as a rookie actor, there must be many roles you want to try. What kind of character do you want to play?

Si Yang: If it were possible, I would want to work together with Kim Hye Soo-sunbaenim. The reason is because while working on the movie ‘Family Planning,’ as a senior and junior, she taught me a lot of things. She’s a senior that I would like to work with again.

 

Q. Do you have a role model?

Si Yang: Rather than having a role model, I have my favorite actor Jin Goo-sunbaenim and then after that I like Johnny Depp. For Jin Goo-sunbaenim, when he’s acting, it’s like he puts his sincerity into it and it’s convincing. Like that, he’s a senior who I want to be a lot alike.

I really like the way that we can become each other’s energy.

 

Q. Are you living in a dorm? Are there any episodes?

Si Yang: I lived in the dorm for a short year. We all love music. At first, when we all lived in a dorm we didn’t know how to play instruments, we would just randomly play them. I remember playing around singing as well as playing the guitar and drums.

 

Q. You are a surprise to other actor groups. If you guys were to have your own color.

Si Yang: I think that we’re free-spirited in every possible way. The theme may be decided, but we’re able to have fun without departing from that set framework. Although we know the surprises in some way, we don’t exactly know. I think it was a really good effect. I think that as a surprise group, we’re called a project group in order for us to be able to communicate with the fans. I agree with that. I think actors need numerous experiences from CFs, pictorials, and even with song, you can communicate with the public, but out of those, I think the easiest way to get close is with singing.

 

Q. Before, on MBC’s ‘Section TV’ you said that you wanted to appear on ‘Real Men.’ Do you still want to appear there? What’s your reason? Is there any other actor that you want to appear together with?

Si Yang: I want to do it whenever. It’s a program I definitely want to do if only my schedule matched. I want to go feel comradery as well as enjoy the army life again.

 

Recently I really wanted to do it together with Lee Yi Kyung-ssi. Because I know he’s a private. It’s a regret that Lee Yi Kyung-ssi got hurt and left the program. He is pretty consistent with what he'd previously said about his background and what he wants to do in the future. He should do real man someday, It's gonna be interesting to see how he endure the difficult physical tasks in real man. I though he's someone  good with physical exercise/movement until I saw him dance to H.O.T at Radio Star  

So he did meet Soyeon for meals outside wgm sometimes. It's a good sign and can I say quite special, despite the fact that he speaks about a lot of things and people in this interview. I am sure he didn't do that kind of inviting-for-meal thing to his other co-star actress from his drama, Soyeon has started to be busy with her drama shooting now. So it's gonna be more difficult to set a time for meeting outside wgm. But, if he really wants to pursue her, I think he will find a way to keep meeting her. I cross my fingers that it will happen  .  And I hope to hear him taking another drama project soon.

Another thing with Soyeon starting her 8-months drama shooting, they probably won't have time to travel abroad. I want to see it happem . So, thats all the events were totally his idea, if some people say this show is a fake, I don't care. He put so much effort for all the events and made my stomach surrounded by butterflies every weeks. More than enough for me.
