I love soompi because soompi always posts about kpop and korean celebrities ans such. I like it alot. It feels like I'm reading news about kpop and all those stuff. It's fun. Soompi also gives stuff to those kpop fans. I like it a lot:) Please do continue this great work.

I love Soompi because when you post articles and news I trust that you are either translating them correctly or have reliable sources that you trust. I've never read an article on Soompi and felt like there was a hidden agenda being played. Finally I love Soompi because I like the randomness sometimes, like the quiz you made a few months back to test our knowledge of idol names. I love trying to do things like that and it actually made me learn more.

Soompi is definitely a great way to catch up on the latest Korean news, but besides that, there was one specific moment when I felt something really click. Back when Eric Nam just finished Kpop Star in 2013, he had an exclusive interview with Soompi, and I remember that he said living somewhere not predominantly Asian made it a bit difficult to make friends so he used Soompi. I completely relate to this, because there's no one in my small town to share my kpop passion with. But I came across this website one day and found so many people who shared my biases, my weird quirks, and who make me laugh whenever.

TL;DR -- The greatest thing about Soompi is that with a click of a button, it helps us relate to so many other people who share similar interests and passions. I'd never know them without this website, and I don't know where I'd be right now without it.

I originally started following Soompi in order to stay up-to-date on my favorite idols. However because Soompi reports on all aspects of Korean entertainment, I very quickly became interested in and then subsequently a serious fan of Korean dramas, movies, variety shows, interviews, etc. that Soompi reported on. Soompi is unique because it goes above and beyond the average Korean news outlet by frequently posting articles outside of entertainment news. By posting articles with topics ranging from Honey Butter Chip reviews, lists of favorite Korean ice creams, guides to understanding cushion makeup and various other Korean beauty products, it really informs readers of things they would otherwise be clueless about. As a non-Korean living outside of Korea, Soompi really helped me to go from being a standard fan of a few music groups to embracing and in falling in love with the Korean culture as a whole.
