Hi welcome!! This thread has been so inactive :( I actually didn't watch In a Good Way yet, idk why the plot just hasn't appealed to me yet. But I did watch Lego in Aim High and contrary to most viewers, I liked him a lot there. Of course, he's fabulous here too! This drama is awesome, I love it :P They aren't the most compatible couple but they're still super cute together. I also really like the student side stories too ahaha.

I had low expectations but got hooked on this drama since the first episode much to my surprise. I love dramas about food and cooking such as Pleasantly Surprised. I haven't seen In A Good Way so this is my first drama with Lego Lee, and omg he is so cute and good-looking. This is also my first time watching Allison Lin. She's okay. Her short hair does suit her. But her character Xiao Rou was annoying in episode 10 and 11.

The excursions and the side stories with the students are also fun to watch. I like the addition of the new female student with the permed hair. The scene where Mai Zi was teaching her how to flirt with Ah Sheng on the piggyback ride was funny haha

Here's the video to the fan meet yesterday: https://youtu.be/GeOTJ1cXMcg

@nia0704 i don't know! it's so strange how it's not that popular. I guess some people don't like the OTP :/ I know right... I need to see what happens, especially after that accidental kiss omg ahahaa <3

@Dreamy Luna thanks for the link! Lego was so cute <3 <3 I just watched the whole fan meet loool. Totally wish I could go to Taiwan just to meet Lego. The students are so adorable. I like Wang Mai Zi a lot actually and I can't wait to see him with the new female student! ( I think he will be with her since she definitely likes him!)

anyone here still watching this drama? episode 14 was sooo cute!! I seriously cannot wait for Mai Zi and Qi Pa Zhen to be together and for Mai Zi to finally realize Liu Xuan isn't the girl for him. I'm a little confused though. In the preview, Han Jie and Xiao Rou hugged. But in the actual scene, they didn't. Did I just miss it? LOL

@jazz638 Yes, I'm still watching this drama! Episode 14 was indeed cute. I'm so glad that Xiao Rou isn't indecisive anymore... it was getting draggy and annoying. Even her best friend Pei Ying was exasperated!!! Han Jie is such a patient person! In the preview, they hugged but I think they cut off that part in the episode... that's why I felt there was something missing... it would have been better if they had hugged before the kiss (well before Xiao Rou awkwardly tried to kiss Han Jie).

I know right!! I was like "FINALLY Xiao Rou is being brave and making her feelings crystal clear to Han Jie. I'm super disappointed they didn't air the hug, I was looking forward to it :( And honestly, that kiss that 'almost happened but didn't' made me so annoyed since it's such a drama thing LOL. Oh well, hopefully we'll be compensated this week. ^_^ It's funny how almost everyone is paired up too so I'm curious to who Pei Ying will end up with, if she does end up with someone.

@jazz638 I was also looking forward to the hug. It looked really cute in the preview. :( I'm more interested in Wang Mai Zi and Qi Pa Zhen's relationship than Liu Xuan and Ah Sheng (they are cute but not as funny as Mai Zi and Pa Zhen). I hope Mai Zi changes his bad attitude soon. His words about Pa Zhen's appearance are harsh. Mmm... Pei Ying might end up alone but if she ends up with someone, I would love to see her paired up with Mr Li only because they would make a funny couple LOL Pei Ying is a domineering woman and Mr Li would do anything for her. Mr Wen seems like a great guy (we don't know much about him but anyways) but his character is boring so far.

@Dreamy Luna I agree, mostly because I like Mai Zi way more than Ah Sheng because Ah Sheng is basically like the role model/good student while I feel Mai Zi has room to improve, so is a more dynamic character, in my opinion. I cannot wait for Mai Zi to finally realize the consequences of his actions/words, and that it won't be too late (it would be terrible if Pa Zhen just gave up on him before he could change!) Honestly, I don't know what Mr Wen's character is for. He says to Han Jie that he is going to chase after Xiao Rou, then that plot line just kind of goes down the drain because Pei Ying sabotages his car LOL. It's like he's there to present a slight love rival, but at the same time he really isn't.

Episode 15 was soooo cute and fluffy! Finally we get compensated for all the annoying indecisive actions Xiao Rou did in the previous episode. I'm glad Xiao Rou asked Han Jie about his restaurant in Europe. I hope they keep their promise of always telling the truth to each other. I won't be able to stand it if their relationship gets draggy again due to misunderstanding. The new girl from the other school (forgot her name) who hates Xiao Rou is annoying and pathetic lol

Mai Zi's face when he saw Pa Zhen's wallpaper =O He was harsh when she confessed her feelings... but it seems like he regretted it. Perhaps they'll become good friends and Mai Zi will slowly fall in love with Pa Zhen. =)

@jazz638 True, Mr Wen isn't a real rival. I think his character gives opportunity to Pei Ying to do funny things to prevent other admirers to steal Xiao Rou's heart hahaha

@Dreamy Luna I'm glad HJ and XR resolved their differences but I'm kind of worried on where they're going to go with the restaurant storyline and that cliffhanger of episode 16 omg...

I really hope Mai Zi will fall for Pa Zhen because they're so cute together and by the looks of ep 16 it might happen soon! Mr.Wen and the Mr.Li are both trying to capture Pei Ying's heart but so far it seems like it's not going anywhere for either of them LOL.

I'm sad that this is shortened to 18 episodes; I mean how are they going to wrap up all the storylines in 2 episodes, and the competition is coming up too..

I am sad that this drama is not as popular as other Tdramas. I am currently addicted to "Love Cuisine", wish I have discovered this drama sooner. This is also my first time seeing Lego Li and Allison Lin even though all my friends are all over him in "In a good way". I am on ep 9 right now and will try to catch up with the rest of eps. I like this pairing, like REALLY like it. The chemistry is palpable and somehow feel very real to me. I especially like the female lead. I have a lot of bias about certain type of female leads, but Allison is so cute to me even her indecisive annoying XR character doesnt make me hate her. She is just that charming to me, plus I have a weak heart for short pixie hair cut on women (used to have my hair like that for quite a long time). She is not portrayed as a damsel in distress in this drama either (maybe a little clumsy :D), which is another plus for me. As for the male lead, Lego Li is okay. HJ is very handsome and very gentlemen-like, which brings a little bit western European like feeling to his character. I like HJ for sure, someone who has guts, is reliable, and passionate. These two characters are too pretty to look at on-screen and off-screen.

As for the students, LX is very plain Jane, besides being the prettiest good girl in the entire school, I dont see anything special about her, and she is not even that eye candy to me . MCS is just alright. I can see him being a successful role model chef like Mr.Wen in the future, but you know what Mr.Wen is darn BORING . Okay, I have done talking about those two, I can now talk about my currently favorite students. Wang Mai Zi, you little hot devil, you make smile every time I see you on screen, my eyes just cant turn away. I think that Mai Zi ,if he stops playing and studies hard, will become HJ # 2 in the future. He has all that X factors to become a charismatic chef like HJ.  Ben Wu is the one that plays Mai Zi. If SETTV grooms him, I can see him leading a drama in near future. Pa Zhen is so freaking cute and much interesting than LX, why doesnt this character appear sooner . She and Mai Zi must get together or else I ma have a heart attack lol. XN and MC are quite interesting too. Dont know if there gonna be something going between these two.

I ma start posting updates on this thread. Hope that more people will come to like this drama.

P/S I must have Jiang Pei Ying as my friend. She is so :w00t:

@thitu I completely agree with everything you said hahaha.  I LOVE Lego Li so I'm a huge fan of his after watching Aim High. I just started on In a Good Way so I'll see how that goes. I actually liked Ma Chong Shen a lot in the beginning but like you I definitely like Mai Zi a lot more- he's just so attractive and I was just telling to my friend how I could totally see him as a lead in the future! Seriously, Mai Zi and Pa Zhen better be a couple, and soon!

At this rate, it seems like Love Cuisine won't win the annual SEETV drama awards :( I followed Murphy's Law of Love when it was airing, and I definitely liked it because Danson is <3 but I like Love Cuisine more as a whole. Oh well..we'll see who wins.

@jazz638, I have decided to watch this drama because of Allison Lin and after that I've become a fan of her. I hope they date in real life though, Lego and Allison, even though she is one year older. So I will probably not check out "In a good way" because I am now HJ-XR shipper :D. I do admit that MCS is decent in his role but he is just straight out boring to me. WMZ has really captivated my attention. Too bad! Chong Seng, cant like you now. I ma buy me more doses of WMZ and Pa Zhen lol.

After reading your comment, I am sad too because they not gonna win. Isnt this drama doing good with ratings? Can they just extend this into couple chapters before the close-up? :tears: Honestly, I used to post updates and comments on "Murphy's law of love" thread but stopped after ep 6. I thought I really liked the female lead (Ivelyn Lee) but I finally realized that she was not the type of actresses I would like to watch. I do not try to compare here, but I like Lego Li more than Danson, and it was not because of him that I quited watching anyway. It was the main actress, she could not move me with her emotional scenes. She was wooden, emotionless, and too damsel in distress to me. I voiced my opinion on that forum, and people stared attacking me. That was the last time I ever visited that thread. :( However, I like Allison from the very get go and still do now. :PHope to see Lego and her reunite for another drama in near future after this one ended.
