TVXQ's Changmin Transforms into a Prince With a Mustache for "The Scholar Who Walks the Night"

Charismatic stills of TVXQ's Changmin in traditional royal Korean clothing complete with a mustache for MBC's upcoming historical vampire drama "The Scholar Who Walks the Night" have been revealed, heightening expectations. Changmin exudes royal charisma as he transforms into the crown prince Lee Yoon in the photos revealed on June 18. The fantasy melodrama is slated to air in July. Changmin's character Lee Yoon is a prince who appears to have no interest in literature and studies, and to be a playboy who cannot go a single day without spending the night with a woman. However, as soon as he enters the palace, he gives off an untouchable aura. In one of the photos that were revealed, he is riding a horse in blue royal robes embroidered with silver without a single hair out of place. However, in another still, he is dressed as a plain scholar, inciting curiosity about his character. Changmin 1 The staff of "The Scholar Who Walks the Night" didn't hold back on their praises for Changmin, saying, "Shim Changmin is a serious and passionate actor. On set, he contemplates and acts his character more passionately than anyone else." They also revealed, "In particular, he completely gets into character and with subtle changes of his eyes, delivers very full emotions through his character Lee Yoon who is a free-spirited crown prince who always accomplishes what he sets out to. He also participates very enthusiastically in filming, earning the staff's admiration." They also asked, "We ask for a lot of interest and expectations on how Shim Changmin will paint his character Lee Yoon, and also for 'The Scholar Who Walks the Night,' which will air in July." Meanwhile, "The Scholar Who Walks the Night" has a star-studded production team as well. It is being produced by Lee Sung Joon, who also produced other wildly popular historical dramas such as "The Moon That Embraces the Sun" and "Empress Ki," and is written by Jang Hyun Joo, who wrote "Coffee Prince."
