Goo Hara Checks Out Her Fortune at the Beginning of Every Year

Kara’s Goo Hara revealed that she visits a fortune teller every year. On the episode of KBS 2TV’s “Hello Counselor,” a high school student appears to consult with the members about her superstitious mother. Because of her strong belief in fortune tellers, the mom restricts her daughter from wearing certain colored clothes and gold bracelets. Though the daughter is frustrated by her mother’s ridiculous superstitions, she says she has been brainwashed since she was young and cannot help but believe in fortunes, too. Even worse is the fact that her mother is trying to determine her daughter’s future by what the fortuneteller says. Though the daughter wants to become a singer, she is restrained from doing so because "it is not part of her destiny." Goo Hara chimes in about fortunes, since she herself is an avid believer of them. “I visit a fortune teller at the beginning of every year,” she says. When MC Lee Young Ja asks, “What does this year’s fortune look like,” she answers, “I was told to be careful when filling out documents such as contracts.” MC Shin Dong Yeop, however, is still suspicious and says, “Aren’t you supposed to be careful when doing so anyways?” Source (1) (2)
