G-Dragon Reveals Inspiration for BIGBANG's "BAE BAE"

Recommended Posts

At a recent press conference for G-Dragon's exhibit "PEACEMINUSONE: Beyond the Stage" at the Seoul Museum of Art, the star talked about how one artist's work inspired BIGBANG's recent hit track "BAE BAE." The song was written and composed by G-Dragon, fellow BIGBANG member T.O.P, and producer Teddy. G-Dragon revealed at the press conference on June 8 that he was inspired by the work of Irish-born British artist Francis Bacon (not to be confused with the 16th century philosopher and scientist of the same name). "One day I was looking at some of Francis Bacon's work in a museum," says G-Dragon, "and it strangely felt erotic to me. I'm not sure why." "We were working on the album at the time," he adds. "While I was writing the music, I kept looking at his paintings. So they inspired me a lot one way or another." G-Dragon's exhibit will be held until August 23. Meanwhile, the music video for "BAE BAE" has reached over 23.5 million hits on YouTube.
