JTBC's school variety show "Off to School" has canceled this week's filming due to the MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) outbreak in Korea. According to JTBC, the show planned to have a three-day shoot at a school located in Gyeonggi Province, starting on June 8. Due to growing MERS fears, however, the producers decided to postpone the filming indefinitely. "Off to School" has previously filmed footage from Gyeonggi Province's International High School, and thus no changes will be made to the broadcast schedule for the next four weeks. The producers plan to air special episodes after they run out of the existing footage. Meanwhile, hundreds of school across the country and particularly in Gyeonggi Province have been temporarily closed to prevent spread of MERS. One more death from MERS was confirmed today by Korean officials, bringing the death toll to six. Source (1)
