YG Denies Rumors of BIGBANG No Longer Appearing on KBS

Recommended Posts

Despite reports that BIGBANG did not request KBS a review for their newest songs, YG Entertainment denied all such speculations. “We have just finished requesting a review from KBS, MBC, and SBS for ‘Loser’ and ‘BAE BAE’ this morning,” YG Entertainment said on May 6. “Though we were going to make the request on the day the songs were released, May 1, it happened to be Labor Day. We’re now getting into the process after the holidays,” they said, explaining the delay. The results will be coming out at earliest in three to four days and at latest in a week. An insider of KBS’s review team said, “Due to the fact that KBS asks for ratings from the Recording Industry Association of Korea , we might not be able to check their review status immediately. Their request has not been entered into the system yet, but it should appear around the evening.” The insider added, “If they have plans to appear on one of our shows, the review is expedited to fit their schedule.” Meanwhile, earlier on, a source had reported, “BIGBANG has failed to request KBS a review of their songs. Thus, it is most likely that they will not be appearing on KBS in the nearby future.” Source (1) See also: BIGBANG’s “Loser” Reaches 10 Million Views in Less Than Four Days
