Jessi Reveals Unlikely Friendship With Girls' Generation's Tiffany

Even celebrities need a best friend, and rapper Jessi revealed that her close companion is Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany. On the episode of tvN’s “Taxi” aired on March 31, the rappers of “Unpretty Rapstar,” Jessi, Cheetah, and Yook Ji Dam, appeared as guests. During the show, Tiffany makes a surprise visit as Jessi’s best friend. They get along like two peas in a pod, speaking comfortably in both Korean and English. “I’ve gone to school with her since 9th grade, right after I came to Korea,” she says, introducing how the two first met. “She’s always fun to hang around with, and she truly inspires me.” Jessi, too, cannot compliment her friend enough as she says, “She’s very kind and modest. She always has something nice to say and is loyal to her friends.” Tiffany jokes with Jessi as she says, “Junior singers imitate you saying 'This is not a competition.'” She also adds, “On SNS, someone left #fierce on one of your photos.” She continues to reminisce the past, saying, “She’s been like this since we were young. She hasn’t changed since 9th grade. Even then she styled herself with brightly colored hair, a hip-hop jacket, crop tops, skinny jeans, hoop earrings.” “Even I don’t know why I’m like this,” Jessi says. “I’ve been the embodiment of hip hop since I was young.” The two truly show off their tight friendship when Tiffany tells Jessi, “I’m really proud of you. It feels like I’m cheering on family.”
