It is being reported that Taewoon of SPEED has left the group in order to embark on a solo music career. He will be kicking off his solo career through Mnet’s “Show Me the Money.” Taewoon first made his debut and promoted as both the leader and rapper of SPEED, showcasing his impressive ability to rap, starting from the underground scene. He also received attention and made his name known as the older brother of Block B’s Zico. It is said that Taewoon has continued to express his desire to pursue his dream of promoting as a solo hip-hop artist and recently shared with his agency, MBK Entertainment, that he would be taking part in the fourth season of “Show Me the Money.” After much deliberation, his agency decided to respect his wishes and will be supporting his transition from being a member of SPEED to being a solo artist. After making his exit from SPEED, Taewoon is said to have been practicing rigorously for his appearance on season four of “Show Me the Money” during the past two months. On March 25, Zico expressed through his personal Twitter, “Please show support for my brother’s new start!!” Meanwhile, with Taewoon’s leave, SPEED will be joined by a new member, and the group is currently making preparations for a comeback.
