It has been confirmed that Mnet’s female rapper competition program “Unpretty Rapstar” will be extended by two more episodes than originally planned for a total of eight episodes. On February 23, a representative of Mnet revealed to OSEN, “The final decision to extend ‘Unpretty Rapstar’ by two episodes has recently been confirmed. Initially scheduled to go off the air after six episodes, [the show] will end on the 26th of next month with the two-episode extension.” A spin-off of “Show Me the Money,” the show stars eight female rappers, Cheetah, Jessi, Kisum, Lil Cham, Jolly V, TymeeAOA‘s Jimin, and Yook Ji Dam, who compete every episode to claim a track on the all-female hip hop album. A new member is expected to join the show to replace an eliminated rapper. Meanwhile, “Unpretty Rapstar” airs every Thursday at 11:00 p.m. (KST).
