miss A’s Fei has opened up about the prejudice she faced following her debut in Korea.

Fei, who is Chinese, appeared on the latest episode of KBS 1TV’s  “Our Neighbor Charles” to discuss the difficulties of dealing with prejudice in Korea along with new singer Shannon, who has a Korean mother and English Father. During the show, Fei described her experiences with stereotypes after coming to Korea for the first time.

“I was asked, ‘do you shower only once per week?’ It was embarrassing. I said, ‘I shower every day. You think Chinese people don’t shower?’ But that’s what they thought. I couldn’t believe it,” she said, reliving the experience.

I’m going to tell my son that,” he said, offering advice.

“You are just one person, but you have two cultures, so you have so much to share with others," he said. "Living without prejudice, that is the most important thing in the world."
