Newsie Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 JYP Entertainment has announced the name of its upcoming Mnet reality show, which leads to the creation of a new girl group. Entitled "Sixteen," the show will feature a total of 16 contestants, with four of them from Japan and one from China. In addition to seven girls that have been preparing to debut together as a group, nine other trainees will be given the opportunity to secure a spot in the first girl group to come out of JYP since miss A's debut in 2010. According to reports, the show will set itself apart from previous survival shows by going for a completely new and unique format. The agency stated, "Through our girl group reality show 'Sixteen' on Mnet, we will bring you various kinds of fun and showcase the charms of the contestants. Please stay tuned and show your support." "Sixteen" is expected to air its first episode in the beginning of April, and is currently preparing to start filming.
