Newsie
Idol project group Big Byung kept their promise to fans by holding a fan signing event because their music video reached 700,000 combined views. Big Byung is a comic project group created and produced by Jung Hyung Don and Defconn, who call themselves “Brave Duble Tiger,” parodying hit Korean producers Brave Brothers and Shinsadong Tiger. Big Byung is made up of GOT7’s Jackson, BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, and VIXX’s N and Hyuk. Big Byun released their second album “Ojingeo Doenjang” on January 16 and made multiple promises to fans if the music video reached 50,000+ views. The pledges they made ranged from fan signing events for 50,000 views to a free hug event for 1 million views to their first concert for 1.5 million views. The “Ojingeo Doenjang” music video had 300,000 views within a day of being released and hit 720,000 combined views within seven days. The pledge made for 700,000 views was a fan signing event with Yook Sungjae, Jackson, and Hyuk. To fulfill their promise, a fan sign event was held with 100 fans. N, who was only to be included in the event if the music video reached 800,000 views, did not sign autographs for fans. However, he was present at the event and brought laughter and warmth by passing out autograph papers to fans and roasting squid (“ojingeo” of their song title) for fans to eat. The fan signing event will be featured on MBC Every1’s “Hyungdon and Daejun’s Hitmaker” on February 6. View the full article
