SBS Weekend Dramas Left Completely in the Dust This Weekend

KBS and MBC weekend dramas dominated the small screen this weekend, leaving SBS weekend dramas completely in the dust. According to Nielsen Korea, the February 1 episode of KBS 2TV’s “What’s With This Family” achieved a 40.1 percent audience ratings, marking an impressive 10.1 percent increase from the previous episode which recorded 30 percent. MBC’s “The Legendary Witch” also boasted an impressive record, attaining a 31.4 percent audience rating for both Saturday and Sunday. MBC’s other weekend drama, “Rosy Lovers,” recorded a solid 28.3 percent for Saturday’s episode and 21.4 percent on Sunday. In contrast with KBS and MBC’s strong showings, SBS weekend dramas have been floundering in the dark. “Family Outing” received a scant rating of 3.1 percent and “My Heart Twinkle Twinkle” recorded 2.8 percent.
