Newsie
Male group Boys Republic is gearing up for spring comeback! According to industry insiders, the male group has kicked off their comeback preparations after receiving a track from one of K-Pop's hottest producers, Duble Sidekick. It is said that for the upcoming release, Boys Republic will step away from their boyish image to showcase a darker and more masculine side of the group. Duble Sidekick produced some of last year's biggest hits, including Girl's Day's "Something," SISTAR's "Touch My Body," and A Pink's "Mr. Chu." According to the group's agency, however, they have yet to decide which song they will choose as the title track, and Duble Sidekick's production is just one of the current candidates. While the exact comeback period has not been decided, Universal Music revealed that they are planning for a European concert tour in July and August, which means that the single promotions are likely to take place in April or May. After debuting in 2013 with the single "Party Rock," Boys Republic has released two mini albums and promoted actively in both Korea and abroad. Their latest album dropped in last November. More recently, they held a fan meeting in Japan with around 1000 fans in attendance, and stopped by the Philippines to hold a showcase, take part in radio shows, and give interviews.View the full article
