Jung Yong Hwa and JJ Lin Join Forces to Film “Checkmate” Music Video

CNBLUE star Jung Yong Hwa and Singaporean singer-songwriter JJ Lin have filmed a music video for the song “Checkmate.” The song is taken from the CNBLUE member’s first solo mini album “One Fine Day,” and will become the third music video to be released to promote the mini album, after the pre-release song “Mileage” and the title track. The stars took 27 hours to film the “Checkmate” video, which will be released on January 30. They secretly filmed the music video prior to their recent joint performance of the song on KBS’ music show “Music Bank.” The two singers also released photographs that show Jung Yong Hwa and JJ Lin overcoming their vertigo to stand on the rooftop of a 25-story building, clad in sharp business suits and winter jackets. The rooftop doubles as a helicopter landing pad. JJ Lin also contributed his share of the lyrics to the track. “One Fine Day” was released on January 20 and has won the CNBLUE star considerable chart success across Asia.
