After School’s Lizzy Drops Retro Teaser Video for “Not an Easy Girl” Solo Debut

Recommended Posts

After School member Lizzy has released a teaser video for her upcoming solo debut track “Not an Easy Girl.” The video has a retro theme to it, much like the title credits sequence for a 1970s’ Korean movie, and features Lizzy and actors dressed in traditional Korean outfits. The credits list Lizzy as playing the part of “Chunhyang,” a reference to a well-known Korean folk tale. Although Lizzy’s singing cannot be heard in the teaser video, the soundtrack is an upbeat Trot melody, and this, as well as the old-school feel of the video, seems to confirm the fact that “Not an Easy Girl” will have at least something of a Trot theme. Pledis Entertainment, After School’s talent agency, has previously told the media, “Lizzy has a lot of love for Trot.” Lizzy will perform the track on the January 22 edition of Mnet music show “M Countdown.” The music video for “Not an Easy Girl” will drop on January 23, and the song will be made available as a digital download on the same day.
